I’ve been getting regular curly cuts here for a little over a year and a half now and it’s always a great experience. Everyone at the front desk is very friendly. The owner, Ona is very sweet and will check on everyone from time to time. I always go to Natalie. She always listens to my concerns and does a great, individualized cut. Not only that, but she always helps me perfect my styling regimen for home. Definitely worth the 40+ min drive.

This salon in absolutely amazing! So many talented hairstylists. Ona gave me my first two curly cuts ever, I loved them both. I tried many other curly hair places in NYC, since it's closer to home but I never loved my results. I came back to 5 salon & spa because it's worth everything and when you find a hairstylist that is talented, passionate and that you truly trust, you should stick to them! I have loved all of my results when I do my hair with Ona! I did highlights for the first time today. Ona took her time to listen to what I wanted, make sure she understood and explain the entire process. The results were amazing, as always! I 1,000% recommend 5 Salon & Spa!

I’ve gotten 3 curly cuts and trims with Natalie and will remain loyal to her until she retires! She truly loves curly hair and treats her clients with empathy and respect. I leave the salon with my 3c/4a, fine-to-medium density feeling hydrated and strong, and looking lively, bouncy and shiny. The service is great from the moment you walk in the door. Went there for the first time today. Jennifer at the front desk welcomed me with a smile and shared what to expect of the services. I then walked into the 2nd floor treatment area, and had an amazing massage with Yolanda. All my knots are gone, I felt completely relaxed, and she did an amazing deep tissue / stone 1 hour. I'll be back!

This salon is an absolute gem!!!! Everyone is very friendly and experts in all things hair. If you have curly hair like me, this salon is a must try! Every time I go there, I leave not only with a great hair style but also with personalized advice about my curly/natural hair. I’m not one to post reviews often, but I wanted to leave a positive review after the salon went above and beyond to accommodate a hair style appointment the day of my graduation (with only 2 days notice!). Amina was wonderful and knowledgeable about my natural hair. I loved my wash and go style so much!! Highly recommend!!!

I found the salon and Ona 4 years ago and I have never been so grateful, the service, the staff, the attention is simply amazing. I will not have not booked with anyone else other than Ona, I love her work, her attention to detail and her passion for hair. I have a natural hair and she is simply the best at what she does not only is she providing the service but also educating me at the same time. This was my first time at 5 salon and it definitely will not be my last. I went in for a curly cut, wash & go. The entire staff is very welcoming and friendly. Ona was very patient & knowledgeable. She sat with me & gave me consultation. She walked me through every step, & gave me great tips on how to maintain my hair. I was very pleased with the entire experience. I feel motivated to take care & show off my natural curls. Can’t wait for my next trim!

This is m y 2nd time at 5 Salon & SPA and both times have been a great experience. Ona cuts my hair and she works her magic. She makes everyone feel comfortable and at home. Going back soon to get my color done with Danielle. I recommend 5 Salon & SPA. UPDATE: May 2023 I went back to the salon to get highlights with Danielle. I never had highlights before and she explained the process to me. I loved the color. She is amazing. I highly recommend her and I will he back to keep up with my highlights.

This was my first virtual hair consultation and I was a bit apprehensive but after speaking with Ona, I am so excited about the next steps in working with her and her team. The experience that I had was amazing! I have gotten so many compliments on my hair. Ona and the staff there are very welcoming and accommodating. When I sat down to share with Ona my hair goals, I really felt like she listened and absolutely delivered. Jasmine did my color and did a flawless job! My curls look shiny and moisturized and have a lot of bounce. She definitely added color of life to my hair. The way she mixed the color to make it look like a natural transition with a little pop of color was really masterful. She is so knowledgeable and great to have a conversation with. She is very attentive and had no problems explaining the process and educating me on how to maintain it. I can't thank Ona enough, not only for her willingness to teach me but also for her attentiveness in ensuring that I had the tools necessary to maintain my hair goals. She truly made my appointment feel more of a journey we took together versus just getting services from a salon. She was consistently checking in to ensure I was satisfied. I can't wait to go back. Wow. I cannot say anything bad about this salon or Ona. I had gotten over 10 “curly” cuts in the last few years and I always left disappointed. Ona gave me great advice for my hair, and fixed the trim I gave myself. She helped me gain confidence in my curls, which I had been feeling so insecure about the last year. She is now the only person I will let cut my hair. I am truly grateful that I was able to get the an appointment at the last minute since she is often booked months in advance. Ona is a true professional and expert in her field. And this is all from my first haircut with her. I love my hair now. Thanks Ona and 5 Salon!
