I
booked
a
room
for
one
night
through
the
Best
Western
app
which
was
great.
Upon
arrival
and
checking
in,
I
was
informed
I
would
have
to
pay
a
$100
deposit,
despite
paying
for
the
room
in
advance.
I
stated
that
this
was
not
mentioned
on
their
website.
However,
I
paid
it
since
I
was
told
it
would
be
returned
after
check-out.
I
didn't
have
cash
on
me,
so
I
used
my
debit
card.
I
returned
the
room
key
the
next
morning
before
10:00am.
The
next
day,
I
received
an
alert
from
my
bank
that
Best
Western
attempted
to
charge
$150
to
my
debit
card.
I
contacted
hotel
directly
and
was
informed
by
the
front
desk
that
there
was
damage
to
the
room.
I
asked
what
damage?
But
was
not
able
to
be
given
any
additional
information
since
I
would
need
to
speak
with
management
on
Monday.
In
addition,
I
was
informed
that
when
I
used
my
debit
card
I
consented
to
any
additional
charges
that
would
be
due.
I
was
advised
that
a
email
to
management
was
sent
and
someone
would
contact
me
Monday.
Later
that
day,
another
$150
attempt
was
made
to
my
card.
Two
days
later
my
card
was
debited
$250
from
Best
Western.
So,
I
have
no
idea
what
room
damage
there
was
as
I
am
a
middle
aged
female
that
was
not
intoxicated,
under
the
influence
nor
having
a
party
or
a
rage
to
cause
any
damage
to
a
room.
Let's
break
this
down:
$160
for
a
24
hour
stay
$100
deposit
$250
for
room
damage
Total
for
this
$510!!!
I
will
never
go
to
another
Best
Western
and
take
warning
to
using
your
debit
card
when
leaving
a
deposit.
By
the
way,
management
has
never
contacted
me.
The
fact
that
they
are
getting
away
with
charging
a
patron's
card
without
any
explanation
is
a
crime.
