If
this
clinic
represents
what
tricare
prime
treatment
and
accessibility
is
like,
then
switching
to
tricare
was
a
very
bad
decision
for
my
continued
care.
As
a
mid/late
20s
young
technologically
savvy
individual
(and
also
work
in
the
healthcare
field),
I
even
have
difficulty
managing
my
healthcare/appointments
through
McCord
Medical
Clinic.
I
could
only
imagine
the
difficulties
accessing
healthcare
that
people
with
even
less
knowledge
about
the
system
encounter.
While
you
call
the
tricare
central
scheduling
number
for
most
appointments
some
individual
specialties
within
the
clinic
you
cannot
schedule
an
appointment
with
in
regards
to
the
centralized
scheduling.
Instead,
they
give
you
a
separate
number
and
then
you
leave
a
voicemail,
for
example-
one
of
the
extensions
I
was
directly
given
and
confirmed
the
number
multiple
times-I
left
four
voicemails
over
the
course
of
three
weeks
and
never
got
any
return.
I
did
end
up
having
to
drive
40
minutes
to
make
the
appointment
to
which
the
employees
lacked
professionalism
and
exhibited
very
negative
body
language
during
the
scheduling
process.
Unfortunately,
this
very
small
example
is
not
my
only
difficulty
with
this
clinic-in
fact
it
is
very
surface
level
in
comparison
to
a
VERY
negative
experience
I
had
while
seeing
a
normal
PCM
and
adjunct
staff.
In
the
end,
It’s
sad
that
people
who
don’t
have
any
other
options
just
have
to
deal
with
this
place.
Of
course,
after
my
experience
then
most
of
the
doctors
and
PAs
I
work
with
spoke
up
about
healthcare
on
base
and
said
negative
things
as
well.
I
mean,
at
least
it
is
some
form
of
healthcare
for
people-
which
is
far
better
then
nothing,
however
the
standard
of
healthcare
at
this
clinic
for
what
is
acceptable
in
America’s
Military
has
A
LOT
of
room
for
improvement.
