Nice compound Mountains of the Moon Hotel and Resort has become one of Fort Portal's signature hotels. The hotel sits on 15 acres of landscaped gardens with wonderful views of the Rwenzori Mountains from where the hotel takes its name. Its a unique blend of oriental and French chic styles where guests instantly feel at home. A walking distance of Fort Portal town and its numerous visitor attractions.

Certainly better than previous trips! (However why can't the hotel put some ink in the receipt printer?) Initially menu looks expensive but portions are quite large. My friend ordered fish fingers and chips, which she enjoyed. Our waitress was very attentive and wore her face mask while serving us. The Gardens are well maintained.

It's a beautiful resort hotel located in Fort Portal. I love the friendly staff and clean rooms. I recommend taking a walk around the resort.

Really a fabulous stay with all amenities. The Breakfast was excellent with good customised spread. The staff was courteous and were ready to help. The view from Balcony, the Gardens, the kid play area, the Swimming Pool ..all were very Good. Good Work Team of the Hotel and Keep doing the good work.

The staff was very ignorant, as me and my friends went for fun but the staff like they wanted as to pay first for the food, drinks and swimming before even getting them … Very disappointed with the service!

Drove into the hotel gate past a very nice vast green wonderfully well maintained gardens that is well lit in the night to the hotel parking in the extreme right corner of the premises that expressed it clearly so well that parking was at owners risk! I was met by several Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff as I found my way to the reception . A smiling well spoken receptionist greeted me with a lot of vigor and charisma. Mr. Kashaija was also extremely helpful and made me feel comfortable as he showed me around the hotel. Kudos to this hyper and well informed man. The health Club is located right opposite the reception and has got a fully equipped gym, a swimming pool next to a pool bar and a sauna plus steam bath. I used the Rwenzori conference room that had a very fast wifi internet connection. We were later served with a rich dinner menu with a soup as a stater, main course meal that had 3 different meats, fruit and cake dessert. Accommodation rooms were glanced at a distance and looked so private and quiet as I didn't get to visit them

One of best hotels in the tourism city. It’s a traditional hotel but still competitive within the hotel industry. There rooms are very clean with great furniture and spacious rooms. Meals are the best as compared to any restaurant and hotels around Fort portal city. Service is great.

The space is beautiful and quiet with large spacious gardens. However, the quality has degraded. The wifi barely works. I only had hot water for half of my stay. The reception staff rushes to prioritize foreign visitors upon arrival. The food orders are frequently incorrect even after several reminders and the food isn’t good anyway. The room was dirty with other peoples hair on the walls. Towels are old and raggedy and the bathroom fixtures corroded and rusty. The mirror is disintegrating on the wall. Overall the value for service is poor. As well, the last time I stayed, my car was washed without my permission and then I was requested to pay. It's just gone downhill which is sad for such a nice space.

It was a great afternoon having a lovely meal at this magnificent place of Toro.

We popped in for breakfast as our convoy passed through fort portal. The staff welcomed us warmly and treated us as if we were resident guest’s. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Definitely a great location to stop in and enjoy before the long journey ahead.

Acomodation is very lovely but huge disappoint as we tried to get breakfast earlier than 7am As we were to leave hotel at 7 we ordered several times explained the urgency to eat at 6.30 yet we got our food at 7am only. Good in promises but failing on delivery.
