Got lucky in Ft. Smith. Found this place on web and gave it a try. Nostalgia is an understatement. Old time 50s drive in or eat in. Clean bathrooms and super staff. Bar b que sandwich was super and homemade onion rings were great. Good go to place

Fun place. Nice servers. Got the 1/2 pd bacon burger with hobanero cheese. Bacon cooked too order meet well done. Fries perfectly cooked to a nice crunch with tender inside. The chocolate moose pie was a 3 needed some richness. Not dirty but could use a bit of "spring cleaning" I would go back for the pinto brand yummy.

Very nice small diner. We had the French dip and BBQ sandwich. Both were quite tasty. Our waitress was great as well. We also had a slice of banana cream pie, it was definitely the only letdown. Should have tried a different dessert. That's what we get for not asking our waitress for her recommendation.

This restaurant is the greatest restaurant on the planet. No joke. The food, the service, the atmosphere, even the owner that checks on customers:second to none. Not for a health nut though but let me tell you the burgers and ALL of their sandwiches even the chef salads and chicken fried steaks are the bomb! Best kept secret? The Chili! If you are ever passing through Fort Smith and or live nearby there, do yourself a huge favor and go eat at this iconic restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

Super cute diner!! The cheeseburger is delicious! Definitely recommend if you're in the area for a true old school dining experience!

It was a great choice, I definitely enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. It makes you like you are back in time. Service is fast and on point, food is delicious and fresh. The restaurant is a great choice specially if you are looking for authentic Arkansas meals. This is one of the restaurants you must visit on a trip or vacation.

A little nostalgic inside dining. The cheeseburger and curly fries are so good! Old fashion feel with friendly service. And the Only car hop around that serves beer. They also have homemade cakes and pies!

Classic diner style restaurant known for the French Dipped Sandwich. Homestyle cooking and friendly staff. Prices around $10-15 depending on what you get, but worth it! Everything was very fresh and tasty. It is the oldest family owned and operated restaurant in Fort Smith and they are also grandfathered in to serve beer to you in the drive up. Unique!

Not only are the plates huge, the food is absolutely delicious, and all set in a charming 1950s style diner. They’ve got something for just about anyone here, but I can especially recommend the French dip sandwich. I’ll be coming back many times!

This is such a cool diner. You can do drive in or dine-in, and they have great outdoor seating areas and a good beer selection. The food was AMAZING. It's not fancy, it's just high quality and super flavorful. Our server, Kat, was fantastic, too - she was fast, knowledgeable, and so nice. I can't wait to go back here!

Loved the atmosphere, my main dish wasn’t as hot as I would expect it to be, the fries were cool. But I highly recommend their fried pickles! It’s definitely worth a stop just for how cool the restaurant is.

One of the best customer service experiences in a very long time. Crystal was a delight from taking my order to delivering it to my car. She moved with a sense of urgency and with care and concern for the customer. She was pleasant and smiling the entire time. I ordered the pastrami sandwich. It was good. Not great. I love mustard but the amount on my sandwich was a bit overbearing. The bread was rye, it was the blondest most white bread tasting rye I have ever eaten. It was still a good sandwich but only rates a 6 out of 10.

Got the deluxe razorback burger and although the burger was fresh and big, it was just a tad bit small for the bun. But otherwise a very good meal. Hot and fresh including the french fries. Service was pretty good and they kept my iced tea filled as well. If I was living here in town I would definitely return.

The decor is fun to sit and look at. The music playing was great. Our server wasn't extremely friendly, but did come to check on us. The food...the chef's salad had a strange flavor. The patty melt needed lots of salt and pepper, though the patty was nice and thick and juicy. Loved the marbled rye bread. Overall, not my favorite place, but I don't like French dipped sandwiches, which is what Ed Walkers is known for. Come and give them a try if you never have...and form your own opinion.

Always amazing, my parents come here all the time. They've always loved their food. I've been here quite a few times. I'm always ordering the French dip. It's my absolute favorite! Cakes and pies are also amazing. All homemade recipes. So delicious. Husband took me after a doctor appointment he'd never been ans was blown away with his burger. Fried pickles and mushrooms are amazing. Onion rings and okra too!

We just looked up restaurants near me and found this gem. Set up like an old school diner we sat down inside and ordered. Come to find out this is the oldest continually running diner/drive in in the state of Arkansas, also the only one you can get a beer served in your vehicle when you dine with them! Had to get the French dip sandwich and my wife tried the chicken fried steak. The French dip was amazing, the au jus was off the chain. We sat at the bar and received excellent service. Will be a repeat customer if I'm in the area again.

The mushroom Swiss burger was good but nothing to brag about but the Reuben was absolutely amazing and the onion rings are real, not minced! This place is famous for its French Dip sandwiches so next time I'm trying that. Awesome service and friendly staff. Definitely recommend!

Stopped at this wonderful little restaurant on our cross-country drive for a late afternoon dinner. While you CAN drive up and sit in your car, I advise you pop inside. The atmosphere is awesome and the folks serving are great. And try the open face burger smothered in brown gravy with fries, or ANYTHING 'The Walker Way'

Great historical Diner. Service was fantastic, food was really tasty. We had jalapeño coins, (I wasn't a fan, but my wife loved them, cornmeal breading) and delicious, crunchy, salty spicy wings. I had a 1/2 lb burger and fries, she had a frito pie. The only down side, due to the fact they are an old converted drive in Diner, not a lot of room inside - especially near the front door. Great atmosphere inside.

This was my second time here. The first was for lunch with my daughter. The atmosphere was great. A true diner and the food was good. This second time, I placed an order for curbside pick-up. The online app was ridiculous with so many hoops to jump through just to order. But you only have to go through creating an account once. So I get there, park right in front of the place and called to check in. The very nice lady said my order was almost ready. I waited for close to 30 min. before I decided to get out of the car to check on my order. My order was all bagged up and ready to go.., it was just sitting there, behind the counter, for who-knows his long. 🤨 That was annoying and the food was cold.

It was okay, but would not make a speocial trip just to go. Did not try the desserts. They looked good. We had the original. The onion rings were very greasy. Wait service was slow and not crowded. One person stated they were only support staff and had to get a waitress.

Good lunch option is how I would describe Ed Walkers. Nice and cool break from a hot work day. The girls are on their game, which helps when you are on time constraints. The wife and I stopped in today. She ordered the French Dip, and I ordered the jumbo razorback cheese burger. She said it was not bad but preferred Arby's french dip. My burger hit the spot and was above average.

Had a jumbo burger and onion rings, plus fried pickles, friend had the dipped beef. Fried items were good, on par, burger was nice and thick, better than average, friend said he made the right choice on the au jus and beef. If your friend is paying for you make sure they tip well! These people deserve it!

I was looking for a faster sit-down place, and this was definitely that. The service was great as I was met with a smile, and was instantly seated and had my order taken within a couple minutes. The food was very good for the price. I got the French dip, one friend got a hot chicken, and another a cheeseburger, and all were very satisfied. The setting was a '50s style diner, and it was very cool. They also utilize current technology for payment methods. Will go here again if I'm in the area.
