I was looking for a local place that was known for great food and service. After a quick search I found this place. After reading a couple of reviews, I made the decision to give them a try. Boy. Was I pleasantly surprised upon entry. The decor, the smell of food being prepared and all the smiles looking everywhere inside. We were seated and ask for a drink order. Coffee, water and of course one cinnamon roll per person. The cinnamon rolls were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Served still warm to the touch. Then our waitress came to take our order. The smile was infectious, her attitude made the experience more pleasant just by her demeanor. "Sidnay" gave us the royal treatment and the food was out before the last roll was finished. Super fast, super fresh and perfectly cooked. This is a must visit when I'm the area eatery.

Great lunch for a chilly day. We arrived just before the rush and the food was fresh and fast. It can get pretty noisy when the house is full. We started with the complimentary cinnamon rolls then shared the chef salad and the chicken pot pie. I still needed a Togo box thanks to the generous portions.

If you are a fan of old Americana and advertising, this is a must stop! From vintage signage and memorabilia to a gas pump and street lamps, every available wall space is covered in history. The food is alright, but not my personal favorite. The sweet potato casserole was sweet and tasty though! The server that worked tonight was very nice, had a great personality, and made sure we were well taken care of despite being near-overworked. I wish I would have gotten his name to place in this review because he was just that awesome!

What a great place! I had their fried ribs. I can't even describe how tender and juicy they were. that I would drive 12 hours for those ribs. the sweet taste of melting meat in your mouth is amazing. We also had their home made chicken pot pie....so flaky and good. Everything comes with cinnamon rolls...what is not to love. Also ask for Percy as your server....he is the best!!!

What a cool little place. A cinnamon roll was served as you sit down. Staff was friendly and fast. Waited about 15 minutes for the best chicken fried stake sandwich I have ever eaten. Ill be back.

Super warm and cozy in here! Got here really early in the morning so barely any people in. service was fast. They serve warm cinnamon rolls they’re complementary. Their biscuits and gravy were good. I had it with some sausage. biscuits fluffy in the inside. My only concern is that I was not a big fan of the gravy itself. Could’ve of been more hot and a little more seasonings. Now the sausage was super good, loved it. Next dish was the fruit waffle, as basic as it can get. Fruit on top with whip cream. Our waitress was super nice. I’d love to try more off their menu in the future.

Delicious food and great service! I couldn’t believe they give you a cinnamon roll when, I thought you had to order them! All of my food was delicious and my server was nice and always attentive. Definitely coming back often

This was our first visit and really liked it. We met a couple there we haven't seen in a while and kind of overstayed our welcome, but we were never pushed to leave and continued to get perfect service. In our group we had meatloaf, catfish and burgers and everything was really good and tasted fresh. The burgers were super big and also yummy. Also what's not to like a place that 1. When they serve you your drinks they bring you warm and fresh cinnamon rolls AND 2 you can order cherry or apple cobbler as a side. Highly recommend ask for Tammy she was super friendly and did a great job and very professional.

Stopped by for supper after reading the reviews and drooling over the menu. This was pure torture! They brought out a cinnamon roll when I ordered my meal. I have no self control when it comes to avoiding delicious smelling food so I pushed it as far across the table as I could and covered it with a napkin so I couldn’t see it or smell it! Thankfully, my meal (which was delicious) came out in less than 10 minutes and after scarfing that down to the point of almost licking the plate, I couldn’t eat any more so my sweetheart of a waitress brought me a small takeout box to put the cinnamon roll in and now I just want to go to sleep so I can wake up and eat the cinnamon roll! Every dish I saw passing by for other guests looked amazing. The food, service and staff were all awesome! I’ve definitely found a new favorite place to go when I’m in Fort Smith. It’s Veteran owned also which gives me even more reason to support this business!

Great food. Great waiter. We each ordered something different, I got something "traditional" scrambled eggs, bacon, country potatoes and biscuits and gravy. My wife got some breakfast burrito smothered in white gravy (it's the size of a dinner plate). Lots of atmosphere inside, veteran owned/operated? No lame biscuits or rolls in basket. Nope, you're greeted with warm cinnamon rolls! Read/see more on my blog nomadic-serenity.com

Delicious food, kind service, clean & comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommend for lunch. Got the chicken fried steak which was golden, thick, & crispy with mashed potatoes. Classic bacon cheeseburger was hearty. Cinnamon rolls were so, so good!

Came here for the first time with my wife a few weeks ago and we definitely plan on coming back. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The fried catfish was amazing! My wife had the country fried chicken and said she very much enjoyed it. I usually don’t like hush puppies but theirs are delicious.

The best fried catfish I have ever had! Loved the cinnamon rolls and hush puppies also! The service was fantastic. The food came out fast and our drinks were never empty. Nicely decorated atmosphere! We were in town from Texas but we will definitely come visit here again next time we are passing through. Loved it!!!

This was our first visit. I thought people were joking when they said they brought cinnamon rolls out when you ordered. I'm from the deep south and this food reminded me of home. The atmosphere was great and the staff was absolutely wonderful.

A friend suggested that my wife and I eat at Calico County while visiting Fort Smith. The restaurant did not disappoint. The restaurant serves cinnamon rolls prior to the arrival of your food and while they were good, they weren't the best I've ever had. My wife and I both had Chicken and Dumplings. They were served with an equal amount of chicken and homemade dumplings and a roll on the side. All of it tasted great.

We were seated immediately....in the booth of our choice....by a window. A rainy day deserves coffee.... couldn't wait....WORST COFFEE I'VE EVER HAD! I asked for fresh....the waitress argued a bit.... explaining that it WAS fresh. I refused it. Couldn't make myself drink that. She asked for our order 3 times....we had trouble deciding. She didn't even have any ideas or something to offer. I found out the hard way that chicken fried steak served for breakfast is half...but still the same price as lunch or dinner. Oops....quite small. 🙁 The complementary cinnamon rolls are great....but she made it very clear that's all we get.... (One per person) No matter how long our food takes. The pancake was amazing. I would have been happier with just that!!! I've read all the reviews ...our server must be new....we didn't get the service others spoke of. She wasn't wearing an apron. She worked out of her back pocket of her jeans. Professional? NO! Please wear an apron for straws....etc....we never got more water....we had to stop her for a to go box and our ticket. She was not attentive..... maybe new? (I hope so) maybe in the future with a different server....we would try lunch.

We went to Fuji’s Japanese Steakhouse first and left after a horrible experience at check in to come here. They took care of us so well! They were more than happy to accommodate us and even sang Happy Birthday to my 91 year old Momma. They understood that we wished to be seated while my daughter that she hadn’t seen in 5 years and my Granddaughter she had never seen plus my daughters husband she had never met came in separately. They wanted to surprise her and unlike Fugi’s who refused service at all until our whole party of 6 was in the lobby even though we explained the special occasion, they showed us so much grace and treated us well. Thank you so much for saving our night!!! We sure appreciate you!

The wife and I ate at Calico County on a Sunday. Arrived about 11am or so. Good call, plenty of room and comfortable until the church crowd filled it up just before leaving. Our waitress was nice and she was attentive. Bonus point for having Pepsi if you drink soda. The wife said her tea was really sweet. The cinnamon rolls were very good. I ordered the hamburger steak, and she ordered the pot roast. Both were great, no problem with those. The sides were standard to bland.

Great place to eat! In place of rolls like most restaurants they serve cinnamon rolls. They weren’t half bad either. I ended up having the chili cheese burger with fries. The burger and chili were very good. I wish the fries were a little bit softer because they were cooked too long. If they were they’d have been perfect. The service was really good as well. We had a bit of a wait but, our waitress was attentive throughout the entire meal.

Calico county is one of my favorite places to eat. But, I placed an order online and my first experience of not eating in-store was awful. My food was way over cooked. It was practically burnt. It was very hard which made it difficult to eat. Also, I should have received 2 sides of gravy, one for my mashed potatoes and the other for the chicken livers. Just like I would have if I were eating in-store. I even added it in the comment section. "No white gravy, brown gravy on my potatoes and a brown gravy for the chicken livers" and still only got one side of gravy. Everything else was good. Just pretty disappointed because I usually never have complaints for this restaurant.

The cherry cobbler reminded me of the one my grandma used to make. I had the sweet tea which was not sweet at all, very bland. Rostbeef was good but served without potatoes and baby carrots unless you order those as your two sides. I chose potato salad which was good. It was not a mustard potato salad. The cinnamon roll was great. The corn bread was too small, had jalapeños. It was about the size of a small breakfast bite muffin.

Phenomenal service! Atmosphere was great! The place had all kinds of old antiques and signs to look at. Me and a friend both ordered the Chicken and Waffles with a side of Potatoes O'Brien. The waffle was fine but the chicken has ZERO seasoning. No salt, pepper, nothing. The batter wasn't seasoned either. It was so bland and syrup didn't make it any better. The potatoes were great! Our waitress brought us cinnamon rolls to go because she thought the ones she originally brought to the table were overcooked. So sweet of her! I will give this place another try, just order something different next time.

Popped in to Ft Smith for some business, thought we would try something other than the normal chain restaurants. So thankful we did. IF you like good ol'country cookin this is it! Love the complimentary cinnamon rolls! Everything was absolutely delicious! Oh and the service was topnotch! Robert was the bomb! 💣👍

We had the cheeseburger & onion rings as well as the chicken fried steak sandwich with fries. Coming through here after some hiking in Ponca, AR, we had a big appetite! We were not disappointed, loved the free cinnamon rolls too! Both plates were cooked perfectly! Will be back!

Service was decent, food was alright. Wasn't as I have expected. Omlette was under expectations. Although food came out in a decent manner but the texture and the quality was still off for the service and pay.
