Worth visiting if you've been part of the 3rd Infantry Division or just love history! The museum is divided into sections of time periods, wars, and/or operations (ie. World War I, Operation Iraqui Freedom, etc.).

Was happy to see that the museum was expanded and moved to a new facility since I last visited. Great for "fans" of the 3rd ID and Ft. Stewart and historians in general!!

You cannot access this museum if you are not DoD or sponsored on base by somebody who is. No Civilians allowed, the visitors center is actually the location to obtain a pass but no go. Claimed Covid but nobody had masks on. Called the Museum but they did not know...

The Website states the museum is open to the public. I went to the Visitor Control Center as the website instructed. I was told I couldn't go to the museum since I didn't have a military ID or a sponsor, which I had neither. Wasted trip. The Website is incorrect.

Not a huge museum, About 5 galleries. However the galleries have very well presented exhibits with lots of very detailed and interesting history of the 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield. The gallery with the small theater had some Extremely detailed and well presented models Of the tanks that attacked Baghdad Admission is free but donations are welcome and can be placed in a clear Box and the lobby.

great place as a veteran or family member to go. John and his staff were nice enough to allow me to host a 32 year Desert Storm reunion here, it was therapeutic and joyful.. Thanks guys!

Got there to late to go inside but still had a great time taking pictures outside with the helicopter, tank, and truck. Only wished there were plaques telling just what, when and how these vehicles were used. Will go again to see inside.

Worth the Effort. Yes - the museum is on base, but access is not an issue. And the Base Visitor's Center team is BY FAR the most helpful group I've ever dealt with when gaining access to an installation. Now for the museum... GREAT experience and quite a bit packed into a smaller building. Make a visit part of your travel plan.

No one answers the phone. I drove up with my 11-year-old son two hours away and it wasn’t open. I’ve called for days and no answer. 2 years later. Still no answer

Military museum. Specifically dealing with the history of Ft Stewart. A nice stop for families visiting their service member(s) if history is your thing.

This is a great museum about the history of 3rd Infantry Division. The displays are engaging and informative. If you have the opportunity for a guided tour with a group I highly recommend it. There is a small gift shop with the usual types of souvenirs. There are water fountains and very clean restrooms.

Great museum covering the history of the the 3rd infantry division. Plan on a couple hours to work through from WWI up to the war on terrorism. Some displays are really sad as they contain the uniform, firearm, and spent casings of great American soldiers who died in the line of duty trying to save other members of their unit.

Great layout of events in chronological order. Learned the other battles and engagements that 3ID was involved in, besides the WWI battles. It's not to the standards of the National Infantry Museum, but it still holds awesome history. It's pretty cool how there are artifacts of actual Medal of Honor recipients displayed; along with Sadaam Hussain's personal weapons. Overall great job!!
