We did the date night at the observatory it was a great experience. The tour guide was amazing. He was very delightful. Because of the bad weather we couldn't look in the telescope which we were very sad about that. We just wished they had something to where those who attended were able to come back a different day to look through the telescope. The buildings were amazing to see all the history that went into it. Amazing. We will definitely attend again.

My grandkids and I enjoyed some moon gazing this week. The observatory held a special event where local star gazers set up their personal telescopes to gaze at the stars sun moon. The eve was well attended. I’m guessing over 200 visitors? They provided tours of the 2 scopes and there were special Star Wars guests in attendance. It was a nice event to get the grand kids introduced to star gazing.

This place is so cool. Great historic building surrounded by beautiful historic houses. It’s amazing to be able to see such old technology that close. We got to turn the observation tower and the telescope. Our guide John was also ver knowledgeable and friendly. He got straight to the point with the information and didn’t stray. Loved this, will be going to more observatories in the future because of this place.

One of the most hidden treasures in the city. I have fond memories of visiting the Observatory in elementary school and being absolutely in awe. Great place to take children for scenic exploration and certain astronomical events.

The observatory is a must for all folks, tourists and residents alike. The night was cloudy so we couldn't view the sky. The tour was still fabulous! The guides are volunteering that have an educational and fun program. This might be a underappreciated treasure in Cincy, but this is worth the trip!

Dean and John are super knowledgeable and keep the entire night entertaining. I highly recommend taking a class. I would go in Sept/Oct for a chance to see Saturn and possibly Jupiter.

We went for the late night date night event and it was amazing! The host, Dean Regas was amazing, incredibly knowledgeable and overall fantastic. It was a great tour even though we had cloudy skies and couldn't look through the telescopes. Highly highly recommend, regardless of the weather you'll have a good time.

I went here for an event and it's a cool place! They always have events and the ticketed ones sell out fast, so we felt lucky we could visit for one, let alone the night was clear enough to see the moon in the older telescope. They do have a lot of events, including free ones, that are also popular. It's perfect for a date night or for a special event. Worth the visit!

There is so much history tied to the Cincinnati Observatory. I highly recommend taking a tour, whether or not you like astronomy, because there is amazing information about the people who lived in Cincinnati and did things to help improve everyone's lives, globally. I am so glad these buildings and property have been preserved. A hidden gem.

Great tour. Loved the star lecture and history. The old telescope is beautiful. I'll have to go again on a clear night.

Went to the Valentine’s Night event. Was an extremely enjoyable experience, they had fun activities, tours of the telescopes, and we even left with a cute Polaroid of the both of us. Highly recommend! The tickets do sell out early for the event so don’t wait until the last minute to get them.

Beautiful! They replaced butterfly exhibit with hand crafted dinosaur out of one wooden log 🪵 🦖

Nice clear evening. The volunteers were very knowledgeable and helpful. So may telescopes were available to see a variety of planets and the moon. My favorite was the one of the moon as they were very crisp and clear. Neat to see the rings on the planets and other planets' moons too! Thank you for sharing!

I wasn’t sure how much I’d like the daytime tour or how much there would be to see. But the guide was very informative, he made sure to make the tour as interactive as possible and give everyone a chance to participate. He was very friendly and accommodating. We especially liked the sundial. It all took about 45 minutes to an hour including checking out the gift shop; the tour only cost $10 per person. Next time I’m in town I’ll make sure to do the nighttime tour.

Excellent talk today from Dr. Nick Abel and team on the Orion Nebula and the history of the Cincinnati Observatory. Stimulating, education, & entertaining for all ages. Will have to come back soon, and again in the summer for a Sunday Sundae SUNday 😄

What a treasure, got an entertaining lecture on Cincinnati and astronomy history plus got to look at amazing engineering and look through the oldest operating telescope in north America. The volunteers are so knowledgeable and share their love of space.

Visiting the Observatory was a learning experience. There is a beautiful hand-crafted sundial. It was interesting to see this ancient time-telling device. The visit was a brief trip back in time to witness how people used these instruments to keep track of time. The experience will give you more appreciation for intelligent design! 🔭🕰️

It's the first time I've been to observatory, and I like it...a lot. I did it for my Astronomy class, but it makes me want to go independent, and learn more!!! And to look through the giant telescope is amazing in itself. There are 2 that are over 100 years old. 🌠🌕🌝

Definitely not what was expected! Said limit was 40 people there was way more than that. Then was rushed to look through the telescope so everyone could see. Definitely would not recommend. Only 2 working telescopes for 40 + people.

We went on a date night here and it couldn't have been better. Only thing is if you dont want to be out late at night its not for you we was out here past 12. But it was mind blowing to learn more and to actually look through the telescopes. There is tons of history and great facts you will learn by coming here. This will change your life.
