This is a hidden GEM! The rates are really good for the size room. The room is pretty big, full kitchen with a two burner counter top stove & microwave. A small refrigerator not a mini one either ( pics posted), coffee maker and coffee ceramic mugs & tall glass for your beverages. A living room ( pullout sofa bed)the TV swivels 360 degrees you can face it to the living room or bedroom which my husband loved! A table/desk with a lamp. We had a king size bed super comfy, slept like a baby! We requested bay view, the view was beautiful! The restroom was large with vanity & sink, large full size mirror near front door which I loved! There was a separate vanity with vanity lights that I absolutely loved, so I can do my makeup & not sweat in the restroom ( ladies ya know what I’m talking about).. lol The breakfast was a full breakfast! Eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy, bagels, cream cheese, oatmeal ( toppings: walnuts, raisins, chocolate chips, granola, just to name a few) cereal, whole milk, chocolate milk, 2% milk, cranberry, orange & apple juice, variety of cereal, yogurt, bold & decaf, regular coffee. Please see pics posted to get a better idea of the hotel. I apologize I didn’t take pics until the morning bed is not made☺️ We were very pleased with our stay, the hotel over all is very clean! Staff is very attentive, we had no complaints! We would highly recommend this hidden GEM! LOVED this place, we will definitely return!

My family and I travel often and we were looking forward to our stay here. I did lots of research to confirm that the property was smoke free before we booked a top floor room with balcony. Turns out that even though they say smoking isn’t allow on balconies they refuse to enforce this policy. After providing proof of the room under us smoking they told us “they would have to contact the manager to see what could be done” Nothing was done. They also allowed smoking near the pool area and at the front entrance. We were unable to enjoy the amenities we paid for. And our daughter, who has severe allergies, left sick. We will never return to this property and I recommend you look for better accommodations.

FWB Residence Inn Marriott (Miracle Strip) was a great option in terms of location for out very extended stay in the area. We enjoyed the pedestrian friendly options to a variety of bars/music and restaurants. Traffic in the area (Destin, San Destin, Okaloosa) gets horrific at times and it was a relief to have the option of walking to restaurants and bars with music; no worries about driving/paying for rides back to hotel. Easy access to boat rentals as well. The hotel interior and exterior premises itself was well kept. A HUGE Shout-out to the exercise room. This is by far the nicest, cleanest gym with leg press/lat pulldown/elliptical/treadmill/free weights of Any hotel we have ever stayed in, for our daily health regimen. There is also a large gym less than a half mile from the hotel, should you prefer. The breakfast options are standard and menu a bit repetitive but we were there for >3 weeks so, that's to be expected. 95% of the staff are helpful and responsive. It would be great to have a few umbrellas for shaded area option at the pool. I'm glad there's limited smoking areas. Try Docie's bar, Nellie's and the Mexican food truck across the street; great local places.

The only thing more beautiful than the rooms is the staff that works here! I was TDY here for a training event, and I was put in a hotel that I didn't like. I reached out to this hotel to see if they could get me in, even though they were filling up. Hailey and Lauren were able to work with me and get me a room, and it allowed me to focus on my training rather than worrying about my hotel room. I would recommend this place to anybody who is looking for a comfortable and reliable place to stay with tremendous views! Thank you again, Hailey and Lauren!

The front desk and management need to go. The manager avoided me the entire time. They overcharged my credit card and charged my debit card twice, blocking my available funds for the one week stay. I actually had to file a police report, and now detectives are following through with criminal charges, and my attorney is filing a civil claim. Simple apology and correction would have resolved this. I didn't even get the room credit I paid for by booking their package through bonvoy member. The rest of the staff are outstanding. The room was great, location perfect view from the room breathtaking, made my business trip easy. I'm not sure how my car tire was only tire stabbed on the side wall (I do have my suspensions). I will be opening an I.G. investigation on the hotel to make sure they are not embezzling funds from our military service members who are staying there, using their government cards.

Very nice place for stopping on a road trip or just a place to stay for a week. Right on bay, beautiful views of sunset, friendly staff, helpful in all ways. Rooms are spacious and laid out great. Balcony is a plus for anyone. Free breakfast was very good for the most part. They've labeled all items so you know what you're getting. The pool is clean, and outside sitting areas are great, too.

From the staff at the front desk to the house keeping, they go over and beyond to make your stay a great one. The room was clean, and smelt amazing. They have a fire pit to hang out at in the evening on a cool night by the water , BBQ grills , and they LOVE PETS!!! . Thank you all for making our stay great . Till we vacation again friends 😀

Beautiful view from our room. No rest in the room everything is immaculate. The front desk people are very kind. Breakfast was served. My only complaint is there was no waffles. During the week which I don’t understand why don’t they let us have our waffles during the week? I waffle batter can’t cost very much, especially if they made it.

The location of this hotel is fantastic and the staff were incredible and friendly. The bathroom in our room could use a little upgrade and we had the view of the parking lot, but overall we enjoyed our stay.

The rooms are nice and there is ample parking. The view from the back porch area is amazing. The pool is small and very warm. The hotel barely has an unmarked smoking area that provides no shelter from rain or wind, little shade and exactly ONE chair. There is no place to smoke and look at the view. The employees are forced to smoke by the dumpster with no chairs or shelter. All of the employees we encountered were very friendly, with the exception of the general manager who we witnessed being rude to both guests and employees. The rooms do not include ice buckets and you are told to use the bowls from the kitchen cabinet instead. The carpets are quite dirty and one of the stairwells leaks when it rains. This hotel is okay, but DEFINITELY not worth $320 a night!

Amazing location and awesome staff. We absolutely loved our balcony water view. The room was huge. Bed was very firm. I loved it, my wife not so much. The interior furniture was very uncomfortable, huge disappointment. And, the pool being closed for construction that was not happening seemed like it could have been managed better. No reason to close the pool when the workers are focused on the front of the hotel. Breakfast had a very "granola" feel, turkey sausage and other similar stuff. Couldn't even score some bad scrambled eggs.

We spent one night here to be closer to the airport before flying back home early in the morning. After arriving home a couple hours after checking out, my teenage son realized he left his wallet. We called the hotel immediately. The housekeeping manager easily found it as our room had not been cleaned yet. A family member in Ft. Walton went and picked the wallet up for us. When they received it, it was empty except for his driver’s license and bank card. When I inquired about the nearly $400 in cash, the front desk attendant told me the wallet was given to the asst manager empty and put into the safe. Watch out for this place since their staff was so quick to steal money from a kid with no remorse or care. I definitely wouldn’t want housekeeping in my room at this hotel!

We stayed at this property for 41 nights so we got to experience the whole gambit. Pros: - Tobias—somebody please make him a manager. He’s the only reason you get two stars instead of one for service. - Location (we were local and staying due to repairs to our house. The location was close to our home, work, plus everything else downtown FWB has to offer) - Amazing views of the sound - Decent breakfast - Nice Gym - Dog friendly Cons: - Indifferent employees at the reception desk. Some literally sat on their phones with airpods in for hours. - Housekeeping was absolutely abysmal, probably due to staffing shortages. We were only able to get our room cleaned 3 times because they were so swamped with short-term stays on the weekends. - Parking! Says it’s free, but the reality is you get charged for a 2nd vehicle. Every night was $20. Since we were local and still working we were forced to pay this. You’ll also find that people come for just one night with giant trailers and take up 6 spots. They also get to park for free since they only need 1 parking pass… - Someone added a 32 night stay to my account after I checked out. No idea how this occurred, but I had to call the Marriott fraud department and found out this property is actually franchised and has a separate internal system for reservations that connects back to Marriott. - Bonvoy status means nothing to them which is a first for any Marriott property I’ve stayed at. All in all I would never stay here again. If you’re looking for an actual extended stay try the Home2 in Destin. 3 stars because the property is in a beautiful location and Tobias is awesome.

This residence inn is very clean and has great accommodations. The location is on the bay, but you cannot access the water nor walk around the neighborhood as it is not very appealing. Really great staff and rooms. It was perfect for the night before getting to nearby airport.

This place is beautiful, fresh, and clean. We didn't have time to enjoy the breakfast but were very happy with a coffee cup to go! They have pool towels available, a nice workout room, pool, fire pit - a perfect getaway vacation location!

Had to stay here one nite and it was very nice and clean. My family and I stayed in a balcony room overlooking the pool which was awesome for my young ones. Close to everything in Fort Walton as we were there for and event at the convention center. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Staff was super nice and helpful with everything and very informative.

Wasn't sure about staying in the Bay instead of the usual beachfront but the new Residence Inn made it a great decision and i would absolutely return next trip. The place is a year and a half old but still looks mostly new. We didn't get the exact room that was requested online so be sure to spell it out before you start the check-in process. Still the room was very spacious with a fantastic balcony view of the bay. (Was put in a suite as opposed to the requested studio.) Turns out there is much more interesting activity to view on the bay; wildlife, boats, foliage. The water view is right at the property's edge instead of the further distance at the beach. The beach is only a 5 minute drive across the bridge. Haven't come across one employee who didn't rate a 5 out of five in the friendliness/service category. Would return again just for that reason. Great workout facility that overlooks the bay. And surprisingly the morning free breakfast was not bad. Eggs/turkey bacon/yogurt/oatmeal/pastries/biscuits and gravy. Dawn and Luisa were very friendly at the breakfast bar and obviously took pride in their job. Thanks for a great stay!

Every encounter with the employees was very pleasant, but one employee stood out and exceeded expectations. His name is Bryce. He was always so pleasant and helpful. Interacted very well with my daughter. The room and building was always very clean and smelled great.

Great place to stay!! Staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean with great amenities. Only suggestion I have is to mix up breakfast a little bit. That being said, they do have lots of options.

Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Walton Beach is an excellent choice for those who prefer the convenience and comfort of a home-like stay. The hotel offers spacious suites with fully equipped kitchens, which is perfect for families or anyone looking to prepare their own meals while traveling. The rooms are tastefully decorated and well-appointed, with modern amenities like free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and separate living areas. The free breakfast is a great way to start the day and the outdoor pool is a perfect place to relax and unwind. The fitness center is well-equipped and provides guests with an opportunity to stay in shape while away from home. The grocery delivery service is a nice touch and makes it easy for guests to get what they need without leaving the hotel. The hotel's picnic area with BBQ grills is a great spot to enjoy a meal or to spend time with family and friends. The convenience store is well-stocked with a variety of items, including snacks, beverages, and travel essentials. The hotel's free parking is also a plus, especially for those traveling by car. Overall, Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Walton Beach is a fantastic option for those looking for an extended-stay hotel with a home-like feel, modern amenities, and excellent service.

Overall great room, property, and amenities. Very clean, spacious, and good breakfast selection. Only complaint I would have is that no one came to clean the room for the couple of days that I stayed there…had some trash that needed to be taken out and needed new towels.

The Staff service, location (on the bay/sound side), rooms and cleanliness are all 5 STARS! We are marriott bonvoy members and have been treated very well. Our room is a 2 queen bed suite with a kitchen (full fridge, 2 burner stove, microwave, drawers were stocked with utensils, bowls, plates, pots pans etc), office area, bar style dinette and balcony. Very spacious and is perfect for a couple or family. Free breakfast is included. There's a cute little area with shops walking distance and Its only 15 minutes to drive to destin. This place is the best marriott property on this beach and is going to boom when people find it! We will be back for sure.

Our room is clean and spacious. The view of the water is nice. They have a pool, bocce ball, fire pit, along with the coffee/tea/hot cocoa bar. It's nice having a large fridge and a mini kitchen along with the cooking utensils amd pans. They even had dish soap. The TV is large too.

I like residence inns and they are nice but you usually get the same experience from one to the next, this one sets the bar for my expectations. The rooms are large and spacious and once you close the curtain, they get very dark. The staff is super friendly, and the breakfast is more than just the usual. They had good sausage gravy and biscuits and the oatmeal bar had a ton of toppings. If the hotel is fully booked, I could see parking being an issue, otherwise a great experience with a good view.
