This hotel was absolutely awful. Technically stole around $400. A friend of mine booked a room here and they did not clean the room, the hot tub was not working, or bring towels to the room for 5 hours, they did not have breakfast for 3 days straight, and the shower did not drain. So each day she complained for the issue that came up that day, and they apologized for the inconvenience but didn't fix anything. Eventually, they said they don't clean the rooms in this hotel, which was not mentioned on the website or anywhere prior to this. So she said she would speak to corporate about that, and the manager said he would call for them, so she went back to her room to find that they had turned off the room key and when she asked he told her that because we had called corporate without giving them a chance to fix it, she had 30 minutes to leave or they would call the police. He originally agreed to refund the remaining days of the stay, then changed his story to he can't refund the rest of our stay because we booked through Travelocity. I have never heard of worse service than leaving someone from another country stranded because they said they would call corporate. We have called corporate and they told us they would give the hotel an opportunity to respond to the situation, that could take 2-5 days to respond and if the solution is not satisfactory we can call back at that point, so they weren't helpful either. They have not issued a refund or done anything to make this right. I will gladly update this review if anything changes, but I definitely recommend finding another hotel.

Let me begin by saying the front desk staff were VERY NICE. We checked in late with 2 teenagers and 3 toddlers who were all exhausted from our travels. The sweet lady at the front desk quickly brought us a crib for the baby and extra bedding for the pull out sofa-bed. She was seriously wonderful. It wasn't until we were getting settled in that we noticed the carpet needed vacuuming, there was a potato chip bag behind the television, the pullout bed had terrible stains on it (and I didn't sleep due to it being so uncomfortable....we could feel every spring in that mattress) and the carpet smelled like urine in some spots. At $170/ night, our family deserved much better. We only stayed one night and checked out mid morning. If it wasn't late when we checked in and the room was cleaner and the sofa-bed was even slightly comfortable, I'd be willing to give this hotel 5 stars. It doesn't have to be new, it just needs to be cleaned well. We truly wanted to like this place more. When we return to this area in a couple months, we may have to find another hotel to accommodate our family.

We are a family of 5 with kids' ages 6yr, 4yr and 21months. The standard seemed to be not to clean the rooms or check to see if you needed anything exchanged, such as towels. Our trash was never taken out and often other guests left their trash in the hall. Staff was pretty much no where to be seen during the day after breakfast. I will not be staying at another Best Western after this experience. Not worth the money.

Mold on the shower curtain. Electrical outlet in bathroom scorched. Toilet did not work. We had to turn on the water. Carpet was dirty. AC unit was loud and noisy. Jets on the garden tub did not work. I got food poisoning first morning after eating breakfast.

Room was very clean. During check in they let us pick what floor and gave us a room close to our car. We have never been offered that at any other hotels to that was awesome! Breakfast was very good! Would stay here again!

This hotel shouldn’t be categorized “best western plus” whe it is barely “best western” The carpets in our room smelled really bad and the mattress quality was of a cheap motel. It is almost like 1 star roadside motel. We will never stay here in the future. We have stayed multiple times in best western and best western plus.

THEY LET STRANGERS INTO OUR ROOM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT!!! Front desk staff was short and rude with guests. Multiple guests had reasonable issues and she was incredibly dismissive of issues. Then to top it off while asleep with my wife and 5 year old strangers burst into the room because they gave someone our room number and keys. We even had the security lock thrown which did nothing at all… This hotel is a disorganized mess that puts its guests safety at risk and then just replies “so sorry but nothing I can do about it” Never go here.

This is one of worst hotels I have ever stayed in. You messed up our rooms for as many as we had with us and wouldn't fix it. The pool you say is heated is barely luke warm. You had no hair dryers, no laundry bags. If you want to talk to anyone you have to talk to them through there kiosk. The only thing good was the breakfast and the lady was very nice. Will never stay here again

Stayed at the end of February for a concert and the first room we were booked into was directly next to an exterior door with a broken lock. When we went to let the front desk know, they said they were aware of the problem but hadn’t been able to get it fixed yet. We requested to be moved to a different room, and the receptionist acted quickly to move us to a new one, but it would’ve been nice to have not been put into a room next to an unsecured exterior door.

#1 We had to yell to receive service! Why isn't someone always at the front desk? #2 Plus, while we paid for 2 rooms with the promise of a pool, the pool was inoperable. And we heard from other guests that the pool had been inoperable for days, while they promised the repair of it "shortly". We should receive a refund or we won't be going to a Best Western ever again.

Air conditioning was quiet. Room clean. Breakfast was the highlight...tho the coffee was instant. Rug heading to the second floor was weary looking.

This could have gotten five stars if not for hot tub not working, having to get desk person to unlock both pool and exercise room, they allow cooking in rooms which smelled up entire wing of hallway, had to literally beg for four bath towels with four of us in room also pool towels, fold up bed was thrown away and it was only one they had though advertised as being available, no one answered phone so had to wait to get there to find out so hence had to sleep on floor, lots of noise first two nights second night it was the smelly cookers. Price was great, room clean, breakfast very good, location near zoo and science museum and restaurants. Fix other things and it would have been our preferred place to stay. Not fixed will look elsewhere. First time at a Best Western.

The room we stayed it was really nice. We got two queen beds and in that same room there was a mini living room. The bathroom was alright and pool was good too. We had to talk to a kiosk not people at the front desk and there’s a $50 deposit to pay in case of something happening to the room. The breakfast was good and the lady there was really nice.

Bad experience. Our fridge didn't work, so we had to switch rooms. Then the sofa mattress had stains all over it. The hot tub didn't work and this was one of the reasons we booked this hotel.

I know I said I would never stay at and Average Western Again... my daughter had reserved this place without me knowing and it was too late.... At least I knew what I was in for... The hot tub is still broken... The laundry is out of order... And the worst part.... The curtains!!! Yeah it's great to have a suite in 2 rooms, But when you have the light blinds, no darkening lines and just the dressing blinds, there is no way to stop all the light from coming in... On top of that, there's a really great hotel right next to this one with all the lights shining in all night to remind you of The poor choice you made. The lights shine all night so enjoy. This time I'll provide photos.

Best Western is usually a great value. The customer service was very good and fast. Building was all clean and quiet. Room was nicer than expected, but would've been nice if mini fridge had a freezer space in it. A little damage on the wall by the shower head too, but that didn't effect function. Beds are comfortable, towels were soft, my only real complaint would be wifi speed, but that's to be expected.

We stayed over night on our way back to PA from MN. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff that we dealt with were professional, helpful, and very friendly. Loved the free breakfast in the morning to get us on our way. The person in charge of the breakfast was cheerful and really seemed to love her job. We did have a problem booking through Priceline but the manger Kim was super helpful in getting it resolved since I got a run around with Priceline. Thank you for a great over night stay. Highly recommend.

The blackout curtains were missing so the lights from the hotel behind shined into the room all night. The shower curtain had black mold on the bottom. The shower head had no water pressure. There were wrappers under the pull out bed. Definitely a older hotel that needs some TLC.

TV sound was horrible in room 218...vending machines we really bad..cost me $8 for a 20 oz starry pop. Pool closed..laundry out of order. Dresser was filled with dings and dents. Not cool

We were having car troubles nearby and was looking for a place to stay, unfortunately Best Western was all booked, but out of the dozen hotels we called, Kimberly was BY FAR the sweetest and most polite receptionist we spoke to. She was warm and kind upon answering the phone even at 3am, and was sweet and apologetic when she had to tell us there were no rooms available. If we could have, we would have stayed here for that interaction alone! If you see this Kimberly, I hope you know you're doing a wonderful job.

Show up. Two employees I think (wearing the blue BW polo shirts) are smoking pot on front porch. No one at reception. Have to talk to one of those kiosk people. Can't hear it over sounds of lobby. Kiosk person won't show face, talking to image of couch. How dehumanizing. The couch tells me it will be a $20 charge to check in 40 minutes early. Seriously? Since when is that a thing. So greedy! I wait. The room isn't the worst, but it has maintenance issues: tv speakers were shot, ac was excessively noisy, and it was pretty dirty. Only bright spot was the nice lady who ran the breakfasts. On check out the kiosk lady refused to print a receipt for me. I need printed receipts as that is what my organization requires. No hospitality at this BW.

This hotel is not the most expensive option in Fort Wayne, nor is it the least expensive. The hotel isn't new, but it's clean and the staff we interacted with were courteous and friendly. The breakfast was adequate, the Internet a little intermittent, but overall it was a great option for our needs/situation. If you're looking for a lavish hotel stay, this isn't it. If you're looking for the least expensive hotel stay, this isn't it. But if you're looking for a reasonable room for a reasonable price, with reasonable amenities I recommend this location.

This hotel was very nice and so affordable! My room and the bedding was clean and smelled fresh. The employees were very nice and polite.

Upon arrival, found no one at front desk. Sign said to use a kiosk next to it. Wanted to check in early, but it was going to be $20-30 to do so. The reason I booked here was it stated a Heated pool, since we would be here for 2 days, we would be able to relax in a warm pool. Upon arrival, found out pool was closed because of a chemical imbalance. No discount was offered for the lack of amenities though. The room had leaking faucets, poor sound quality on the bedroom TV and needed some updates. The price I paid for this room should be considered highway robbery. There are so many hotels in this vicinity, I would think they would be more competitive. Didn't know who to complain to, because no one was there.

Not really a Best Western Plus in our estimation but it was fine. Breakfast was every good. Complimented the employee who prepared it and gave her a tip. She was most welcoming to everyone.

This hotel has no business being branded as a Best Western "Plus". Stained, dirty carpets and filthy bathrooms. Just take a look at the attached bathtub pics. It's got a decent continental breakfast, but still, if you're paying more than $60/night, take your money elsewhere.

Our room was very clean. Jacuzzi didn't work. The main reason why we chose that room. Check out is noon, yet house cleaning bugged us 3 times between 10 and 11. It made us feel like they was rushing us out.

Fairly priced. The rooms are long and the online pics compared to the actually there views are way different. Almost a dreary kind of feel, even with the lights all on. Breakfast was very good and fresh. Quiet stay for the 3 days we were there. Friendly staff. Dont really care for the kiosk to check in but times are changing.

The breakfast exceeded our expectations! There were lots of options and it was tasty. Deb was super helpful and friendly and even made our daughter's waffle while we got our plates ready. The pool was nice and warm and our room was clean. We will definitely be staying here again.

Very nice hotel for the money. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Room was clean. There's a nice little pool. You do have to pay a $50 incidental fee at check in but you get it back when you check out. The only thing I think this hotel needs is a small remodel and updating. Other than that zero complaints.

This hotel is not a bad option if you’re in need, but at the price …. You might as well go somewhere a little more updated and in better shape. Laundry room was out of service, cracks in suite door, hot tub was closed, and everything could use a fresh coat of paint. Will compliment the staff. They were extremely friendly. The breakfast was better than expected. Overall, for around $150 I should have gone to another spot.

Thank you so much to Katrina and she was so nice and really made my stay better than I expected! I appreciate their eager thoughtful responses to my concerns! Only thing missing is the pool being open and the kitchen in the room. Seems most upscale of its kind ~ a very hospitable limited-service hotel offering a somewhat separate living space from the sleeping arrangements without a door to separate them. - looking for kitchen? Check out the Residence Inn Marriott by Lutheran Hospital! Its amazing everything and the kitchen sink! Very nice! #worthit

I am extremely concerned about the state of the rooms. We found the pull-out mattress with mold and stains, and the 3rd floor smelled bad. Worst of all, the fan on our ceiling was shaking when we turned it on! It made my group and I terrified. Also, there was no warning that the pool was closed on the site. The only thing decent was the breakfast.

My wife and I booked a room with a king sized bed online. When we got there they gave us a completely different room than what we paid for. One with two small beds. We went downstairs to ask what had happened and the lady at the front desk just shrugged her shoulders and said “I don’t know.” She didn’t offer to help us in any way. All she did was tell us how she doesn’t know what happened while on a video call with somebody on her personal cellphone. She was no help at all and downright disrespectful. We decided to get a refund and leave. I’ve never dealt with a more dysfunctional establishment. If you’re going to take somebodies money, you should know what you’re giving them in return, and it better be what they asked for.

  • 2/5 Stevan A. 2 years ago on Google
When we arrived we were told the king suit with jacuzzi tub and fire place we had booked could no longer be used because the previous guest smoked in it. They said they had the air cleaner in since 11am. I would have been nice to get a call to let us know we couldn't get that room so we could have found another hotel to stay at. But they did offer another room and because of time restraints we had to take it. We went to that room after going to the show we were in town for and the toilet didn't work so back to the desk we went. Got moved to a third room. Was a little dirty and the fan light didn't work but the room served it's purpose for the night. But overall Breakfast was good and desk attendant was friendly.
