We had to move our reservation up one day and Hilton charged us $50. The hotel room was smoky even though it was a non-smoking room. Our neighbors were arguing loudly all night. We went to the front desk at 1:55 am, but no one came to talk to them and they never stopped. The continental style breakfast was cold and cost $12.99 per person. We have had better free continental breakfasts at other hotels.

This hotel was very nice. Clean comfortable rooms. I really loved the fact that there is a light in the closet as well. Helpful staff. I'm airline crew and my suitcase handle broke while I was on my trip, the maintenance man Todd, jumped into action and fixed it! Put my mind at ease, thank you Todd! I loved the on-site restaurant. Nice dinner and hot breakfast!

The hotel staff has like zero turnover which means they remember your favorite drinks and room types. The cleaning staff are very routine so it’s not uncommon to find mirrors or a surface not wiped down but you are for sure to have proper towels and soaps. The rooms facing the sun have curtains that get dusty so in some rooms I seem to have allergies in the morning. They are service dog friendly and receive packages if you need it. The Starbucks in the hotel is great!

So disappointed and grossed out with this hotel. Upon checking in and getting settled into the hotel room, we noticed the bathroom floors in our room were dirty and there was hair on the floor. Then we noticed the floors behind the couch were filthy! It looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in a long time as there was even trash behind the couch. We checked the bed underneath our comforter and there was hair on the bed on top of the sheet. We called the service desk and they got us a new room. This room looked better however when we want to put something in the fridge we found someone else’s leftovers in the fridge. We talked to Drew at the front desk about it and he promised to drop off two free breakfast vouchers to our room. This was already a disappointing compromise as we had 4 guests. Upon arriving at our room later that night, there were no breakfast vouchers to be found. I have never been more disappointed in a hotel stay. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

A convenient hotel (Theater we were attending was across the street) in downtown Fort Wayne. It is connected to parking and other buildings by a enclosed skywalk. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is available at a reasonable cost. Omelette bar, pancakes, waffles, and other breakfast selections available to order from wait staff included in cost. Cost of room and fees is higher than other hotels in area but worth the price. Room was large with many amenities including a room safe, fridge, extra towels, etc. Highly recommend.

While I really wanted to love this hotel based on the other reviews, I am not sure how they even stayed at the same hotel. I'll start off by saying, I would love to invite the Hilton Executive Leadership team here to stay in our room, and then hear their feedback following their stay... All I can say is, our room did not live up to the Hilton name, and I will leave feeling disappointed to have stayed at this property... and feeling beyond gross and ready for a shower! While the room was dated and showed signs of high use, that cannot excuse the fact that this room wouldn't pass any standard of cleaning at any property, unless you were staying in a Red Light district. Mold on the shower tiles, curtain, and bathtub. Mildew smell. Hair and crumbs throughout the bathroom, especially in the corners. Old wrappers and crumbs all over the room floor. It was clear, no effort to clean occurred. Mirrors were filthy. The kind of cleaning that you feel like they used the same rag to clean 20 rooms with, and just brushed the hair of the sheets from the last occupants... at least that's what you start thinking when you see this kind of dirty... It was the sort of room that if you touch anything, you feel dirty. You cringe when you shower and accidentally touch the curtain or wall. Feel like you need to wash your feet if you accidentally step on the carpet. The office chair had food matted in it. The sheets barely fit the mattress. Dust all over the surfaces if you moved anything. The staff was nice checking in, although I had to wait a good few minutes before being greeted. As far as I could tell, this property really only had its location going for it as I was at the convention center... but that shouldn't be the only reason to charge Hilton Rates, but not deliver Hilton Standards. If you're reading this Hilton Leadership - come give a stay - I'm curious if this would live up to your expectations. Because if so, I'm looking forward to giving Marriot a try!

Great room size, but room was not clean: could write my name in dust on end table. Hate having to request everything, i.e. more coffee cups, clean towels, straightening room. Front desk people were helpful and quick to help.

The king bed seemed more like a queen. The shampoo, conditioner, and soap all sucked!! Then they wanted to charge me $15 to park in the garage when that is the only place there are handicap parking. Plus, it was supposed to be included in my group rate, but she didn't have me booked under the group, but she finally waived the fee for me, but it was a big hassle. Otherwise the hotel is nice.

This is a very nice and clean hotel located in the heart of downtown. For the price we paid for the room we had hoped the parking would be free, but it wasn't. The room was clean and the bedding and pillows were oh so soft and fluffy. It was like a warm hug while watching the large TV. The shower had nice hot water pressure. It was perfect as long as you were under 5' tall. The restaurant, in the lobby, had OK food at way too high prices. They offer nothing in the way of a free breakfast, which even the lowliest of hotels have in this modern day and age. There was not even a coffee station. If you wanted coffee you had to go to the attached Starbucks. All in all it's a beautiful clean hotel, but caveat emptor, nothing is free in this hotel.

Beds need to be upgraded. Hurt my lower back sleeping on it for our 2 night stay. Water pressure absolutely sucked as well on the 4th floor, which definitely needs some attention, this will be a big reason i dont come back. Other than that staff seemed friendly. Hotel seemed to be in good shape still. Elevators work good. The location is also very good in terms of being close to things to do. Noise level wasn't very loud through the rooms. The parking garage is very nice as well, considering it has a skywalk tunnel to get across to the hotel.

Very nice staff and a convenient location to the Convention Center. I was pleased that they have a Starbucks on-premise. The room was clean but in serious need of an update. Most hotels have USB charging ports in the room, this hotel has not upgraded to this feature. Beds are very soft, so if you like soft beds, you will sleep well.

On 02.10.2022 I stayed at the Hilton in downtown Fort Wayne. I was all but impressed for the price I paid. I encountered several issues that were of concerned: the sink had someone's hair in it, the shower/tub did not have good water pressure and the trickle of water that did come out was warm. As I stood in the shower, I looked up at the vent, it had so much dust built up in it, it was ridiculous. As I was looking for a outlet to plug my cellphone, I happened to look behind the nightstand and instantly felt dirty as there was so much dirt behind the stand it was just gross. For the Hilton to be considered an upscale hotel, there needs to be more attention placed upon cleanliness especially with Covid. I happened to just see a previous post with similar concerns and the hotel response was that the housekeeping issue would be addressed, hum two weeks later and the problem still appears to exist 🤔 Room 418

The stay was horrible. Had no place to go. Needed one night of rest. Paid 250 for one night. While I was getting my key. There were couples just walking by the front desk and just going to the rooms. Not paying Room was dirty. Disgusting. Furniture was beat up. Ar least 15 years old. Worked in the cleaning dept And there's not one clean bed But, The burger was great. I did get sleep that night. Reserved another night. Cancelled before 6 days. Never got back one penny. Oh. The room that I paid the 250 for They rent out for 109 any night. And there were no special events Don't stay there! Yes. They charged me $250 for the second night. Max value $75 a night

Staying here while working in the area. I'll get straight to the point. The people working the front desk during the daytime were really nice and friendly. The housekeeping at this particular location was top notch. Now there is a restaurant located in the hotel. The only thing I ate from the hotel restaurant was a piece of strawberry shortcake which was actually really good for $8. There are many restaurants within walking distance of this particular hotel. Many of them are gastropub type places where there's more alcohol on the menu than actual food. The hotel room was okay just much smaller than I expected. First night there I froze the unit was blowing cold air only. I spoke to someone at the front desk in the morning explained to him what was going on and the issue was taken care. The room temperature was comfortable for the rest of my stay.

The downtown Hilton is a terrific property. Yes it’s aged; but more like wine. There is so much history right here at this Hilton Grand Wayne location. Deyonna is knowledgeable and I really enjoyed our conversation. I will absolutely make this hotel a regular stop while in Fort Wayne. Deyonna is a gem of an employee and an even better young lady!! 🙏😎✅

This is a typical downtown legacy hotel, complete with large rooms but desperately in need of an update. The location is certainly prime right in the heart of downtown and co-located with the convention center which is nice. The parking lot across the street has a covered walkway directly to the hotel which is nice as well. But the hotel itself is clearly old and tired. Furniture in the rooms were beat up, and the furnishings felt old. The bathroom was also tiny. But the bed was comfortable and it was quiet in the room, which is the most important factor to me. Service was decent, but not memorable. Overall it's a decent place to stay if you need to be in downtown or are attending an event at the convention center.

If only the rooms were soundproof. First night get in with 2 young kids, neighbors decide to have a party at 130AM, cussing up a storm. Called down and did a complaint and they ended up being quiet for the rest of the night. Second night, no clue if they are new people but they have multiple people over there and loud around 130AM, I’m here at 430AM currently hearing this lady sound like a dying cat while having s3x. I shouldn’t be able to hear skin smacking each other when the beds don’t share the same wall. Disgusting, especially having young school aged children. Beds were good, pool was nice, got food elsewhere than the hotel so I can’t speak on that. Nice staff at front desk.

First of all, while checking in for the night, the host Was not very friendly and, when I was asked for a card to keep on file, for Incidentals, I gave her mine and asked her Not to charge anything on it because a friend had reserved it and we had concert tickets to go a concert. This hotel room was supposed to be a gift. She Said okay, but then I was charged for the room anyway and have spent a week trying to reverse that charge still to know resolution resolution yet. When looking online, the rooms said that they were $119, however, this was $198.95! The Room was not great either. Everything was dusty and old. Doesn't look like it's been renovated for years. So I would say the service or the room we're not great to say the least! The bed was comfortable, is why I gave 1⭐️ star. I have pictures to post, but that was not an option on here. The shower walls had several spots of mildew on them. The tub appeared clean but was worn down and Gray at the Bottom, So we did not use it. The lamps and all lighting fixtures and shelving was all dusty and grimey. The microwave had 2 pieces of duct tape where some buttons used to be. It had smeary hand prints all over it. Clearly, the cleaning people had not been checked on very well .

The desk clerks were pleasant. Their policy is that you ask for a clean or refresh. I asked, and nothing was done. They did send someone after I called attention to it. The one thing I did ask for specifically was dusting. Never happened. Almost every night, there were muscle cars or loud motorcycles racing up and down the street outside. The hotel can't control that, but if you choose to stay here, bring very good earplugs. There is a Starbucks connected, and a restaurant which was nice. Connected to the convention center and close to Allen County library.

I’ve stayed at different cheaper hotels and they’ve all been way cleaner and nicer than this place. Our bathtub was clogged and so was the toilet. The bathtub also seemed to not have gotten cleaned before our stay which we just decided to ignore. Also, I know for a fact I lost my ring here, when I called to ask about it, they told me that they would start a report with the housekeeping staff and I’d get a call back. It’s been about 3 weeks and I’ve received 0 updates, so unfortunately I’ll just have to say bye to my ring!

I would not recommend this place to nobody! I would not have a event with them. they're very unclean, nasty and use the same old food from one event to next, & utensils don't even be clean all the way, the Board of Health should be over there every day!!!

This place is disgusting. Walls, floors and rooms are dirty. Horrible. I've been in cheap hotels that were cleaner then this one. Service was stupid. No smiles no one friendly. Over rated for the price. They have the same exact beds as a low priced hotel. This place was not special an anyway. Very very very dirty!

The two experiences I’ve had have been decent. The rooms have been clean for the most part but this current visit I happen to look behind the tv and see items that were not removed which instantly had me questioning the cleanliness. the remote channel guides wasn’t working. Also, the remote was in a sterilized bag like other lessor hotels. Still not a bad place to stay. Please take more effort to keep rooms clean.

Be extremely careful with booking with this hotel. Our event for traveling to Fort Wayne was cancelled by the venue. The hotel refused to honor my request to cancel or a credit. Do not recommend.

Very nice, luxurious hotel. The rooms at least the one I stayed in didn't meet my expectations when it came to matching the first impression. When walking through the front doors and through the lobby, left me a beautiful, luxurious stay. But it was a very nice and clean hotel room. Again jus didn't uphold the first initial impression of luxury.

This hotel is in the top 5 of hotels that I have stayed at. It was immaculately clean with very friendly staff. I have had a variety of different meals at their restaurant, across from the main desk, it delivers great food, fast, and at a great price. The heated pool is nice with plenty of towels, and my daughter had a great time swimming. The pool is just the right depth for me, considering that I can not swim. I believe it was around 5 feet deep or so. The room was very nice and clean. I loved the pressure that was coming out of the shower, it was relaxing. The only negative comment I have to say is when the reservation was made the hotel was informed that we would not be checking in until very late which they said would be fine. The hotel staff then directed us to park across the street in their parking garage and enter via their bridge, which connects to their garage when we arrive. After a very long day at work and a very long drive to Fort Waye that evening, when we walked down the bridge the doors were locked. I wish they would have informed us to enter through the street instead of the garage. But with one quick call to the front desk, security was notified and opened up the door within 10 minutes. I like this place and I will be staying there in the future when I return.

The staff's excellence has set the bar for professionalism and kindness. We attended a convention that favored older travelers and the staff went above and beyond to help them understand the surroundings and services. This was most apparent at the hotel restaurant where every team member was wonderful. As typical at urban hotels, public parking was in a multi-story garage across the street (attached via sky-bridge). The front desk took care of both billing and provided easy to understand instructions on how to come & go without multiple parking receipts.

They are truly amazing. Vontrell was able to get us into two rooms when they were fully booked. Lobby was very well decorated for the holidays. Rooms were clean, smelled great, nice view of the city. Would definitely come again the next time I am in Fort Wayne.

The customer service reps here are so kind! I'd recommend them just for that alone but to be honest our whole stay was amazing! The bed was incredibly comfortable and the shower pressure was perfect! When we woke up the next morning we took full advantage of the free breakfast. Hands down the best breakfast from any hotel we ever stayed at! Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Our room was clean & roomy. Public parking garage directly across the street. Key card elevators. Pool was nice. Quiet place. Breakfast buffet was delicious. The convention center was easy to get to as it was connected. Easy walk to places of interest as well as restaurants. Will go back.😊👍

I did not feel unsafe, the sheets were clean, and there were no loud arguments in adjacent rooms. Had this been a motel 6, I likely would have offered a 4 or 5 star review. I wouldn’t avoid it if someone paid for my room here, but I wouldn’t choose to spend money here. I rarely splurge on hotels, and I got no value from the extra money here. The staff communicated incorrect prices for parking, didn’t know prices for breakfast or what what the breakfast offerings would be, and weren’t sure if I could request a late checkout. They asked me to come back to the front desk to find out a couple different times before I got answers- all of them sort of dissatisfying answers. The place looked worn out and seemed like it would have been nice 20 years ago, but with a low paid staff that maybe wasn’t born yet when it was last renovated. This is not a horror story, but it was a miserable value for the money and a terrible introduction to the Hilton brand. It a loss to the community for it to be in such a prime location.

Wonderful and comfy, totally worth the price. We stayed the night for our anniversary and loved it. Room was spacious, TV was huge, and at night with room lights out and only the TV on it is dark and cool and quiet. Restaurant in the lobby is excellent, not a big menu but super tasty and very nice staff. 😋

Checked in at 3pm. Turned the air down as the room was warm. Left for a few hours came back it was like 90 degrees in the room. We were offered a box fan for our inconvenience. Unacceptable. Horrible customer service. Still have a charge for one night. Never again.

Nice hotel, very friendly staff at the bar/restaurant inside. Rooms were nice. I guess they had cleaned the floors and put all the furniture in the bathroom area in my room, and forgot to put it back. Had to move it around to get to the sink. Most people would cause a fuss over that, but having worked at/managed a hotel in the past i know how easy that is to do. Monor inconvenience. At least i know the room was cleaned! Thats the only reason for the -1 star.

I loved my room at the end of the hallway! The room was spacious and clean, with all the amenities I needed, including a shower cap, which is not something you always get. The front desk clerk on Christmas morning was truly outstanding! Thank you again!

This is an excellent facility for having any kind of a large Workshop or convention. We had over 700 people attending for a three-day weekend stretch and found our dance rooms as well as Main Ballroom to be even better than expected. They met and exceeded all of our needs and expectations for the entire weekend.

  • 1/5 Brad P. 2 years ago on Google
The cleanliness of the room was unacceptable. Our room had clothing left in it from a previous guest. It was very dusty and the carpet appeared that it had not been recently vacuumed. The bathroom had dirt and hair in the corners and the tile grout in the shower was moldy. The sink in the bathroom also had a crack in it. I listed we had four guests in our room but we were only provided three bath towels. When calling the front desk on the disgusting, dusty phone in the room, I was told it would be an hour before we would receive more towels due to them needing to wash more. I was charged $15 per day for parking in a parking garage that has an $8 per day maximum parking fee. I was charged over $200 per night when the others we were traveling with were only charged $139 per night. The hotel staff was unwilling to help me with the fees. Overall, it was not a good experience and I will most likely not consider staying at Hilton Hotels in the future.

Lovely hotel centrally located in downtown Fort Wayne. The rooms were very spacious and clean. There is a Starbucks inside located next to the lobby which is super convenient on those blistery cold days when you need your Java before stepping into the Arctic tundra of Indiana in January.
