Texas history lives here! The cattle drive at 11:30 am is something to see! Big beautiful bovines with the longest horns you've ever seen! Tons of shops, food and beverages. Open containers are allowed and sold in shop at drink stands. Stay hydrated, it's hot in Texas 🥵 The Stockyards Station is completely covered but open ended. Allows a nice breeze but shaded on a hot day and dry when it rains. The weekend gunfight shows are entertaining for the kids and adults. Family friendly for sure. I went back on a Wednesday and they did not have the gun fight show after the 11:30 cattle drive. The shops are busy but the staff makes sure customers are well taken care of. I highly recommend it and will be going back to do a deeper dive. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

No better place to spend the day with family and friends! 11:30 AM we saw the cattle drive come down the main street. We then took our son to ride a pony and visit the petting zoo. So many fun things to do, including riding in an original stagecoach like the one from Little House on the Prairie! We visited the rodeo, ate delicious steak, and stopped by the general store. Such an awesome day! Worth every minute.

Gun show was cute. It's more done for a younger age crowd, but still fun. The Stockyards train ride was very nice and relaxing. However, watch out for those bandits. You may get held up, but not to worry... There's law enforcement on board. Watching the cattle run was so fun to see. Real cowboys walk a heard of cattle down the street while they're are on their horses. The Stockyards are a must do if you're in the Fort Worth area. They have a little something for all ages. Night clubs, rodeo, live free music and so on

Its the Stockyards! It does not get more Texan than this :) Highly recommend for locals and visitors - such a vibrant place! You can see the rodeo (we got lucky and were able to see an actual competition), dine at amazing steakhouses, shop for high class Texas style attire (boots anyone?), and get whatever Texas souvenirs your can imagine! I've been buying all my leather purchases here for almost 20 years! And of course, have been bringing all visitors here too. Don't miss the experience!

If you're coming to the Dallas-Fort Worth area this is an absolute must stop. This is one of the few spots in all of Texas that makes ya feel like your in a movie or western 1800 Texas. Food is delicious at all of the restaurants. The cattle Drive happens two times a day at 11:30am and 4pm. That is an absolute must see so plan around that. If you're looking for live music, cowboy boots or any kind of souvenir the shops have it all!! Make sure you get here when in town.

It was touristy and fun. A very cool thing to do if you are visiting the area of have friends visiting that you want to show around. Lots of restaurants and gifts shops. There was also some live music. The cattle drive was kinda cool but last about 2 mins. Worth a visit.

Incredible destination! Love the Old West Heritage and Tradition and the Ft. Worth Stockyards did not disappoint. From the street performances to the food, drink, family fun activities, restaurants, and all of the shopping - this is by far one of the coolest places around, indeed. Extremely family-friendly and an absolute blast for anyone!

This is a great place to visit to get a taste of the old west and how things were done back in the day. There is plenty to see and do in this historic location. You can take walking tours or ride in a coach, watch an iconic Long Horn cattle drive, see an old west shootout, find plenty of places to get some great food and drink (in one of the many steak houses) or visit the coliseum, to see some rodeo history and a real rodeo. There even are some historic hotels all within walking distance. There also are plenty of souvenir shops to buy a memento of your visit. Have a fun time reliving the old west and learning some history here.

A great experience like a true Texan. When you say Texas this is everything what most people think of. True Cowboys 🐂, that have a cattle drive down the street. The stores are very different and offer very unique and one of a kind purchases just make sure you bring your wallet. I found free parking but most parking you have to pay.

Stockyards Station is highly recommended and a must visit place if you are visiting Dallas TX. It’s a historic district and you have plenty of authentic foods and experiences that can be enjoyed. We have visited on Christmas time, which was very special and nice with Christmas decorations and lighting. You must see the 2 hours rodeo show ( Please check the show times beforehand) while you are enjoying the food and other activities.

Here is the deal! There's nothing like Southern hospitality or its barbecue. bring your appetite and come to this family-friendly atmosphere where everyone is Mayberry friendly. I can't speak enough to the culture of hospitality. Yes, here in Texas, I can honestly say you will meet no strangers. Dis I tell you we sat on a bull! What about those Long Horn? What a sight to behold. Well, what are you waiting for? Get your vacation in TEXAS and make the memories happen.

Worth visiting for the rodeo and cattle show in Dallas! They preserved the cowboy culture very well. You can have a nice experience there! Definitely worth it! Here is nice for family and friends. There’re many kinds of restaurants (including bbq) that you can go.

My best friend and I were visiting my sister who lives north of Fort Worth. She took us to the Stockyards and we had a wonderful time. So much history to learn, old buildings to check out, and great places to eat. The John Wayne museum is close by The Coliseum and just going into the lobby was great. The General Store was a great place to pick up souvenirs for the family.

1st time here. Recommendations to stop here. Wow, the cattle drive is very impressive, and the history they discussed beforehand is really neat. It did need to be louder. We only got to stop into a couple of stores. A quick trip. Pictures of the area.

We came here on a cold and windy day. We thought it would be an indoor shopping mall, but it is just a bunch of shops under a roof, but you have to go outside to get to the next shop. Other than that we had a lot of fun looking though all the specialty stores and picking out trinkets to take back home. The cattle drive is a free event and is worth the 5 minutes of your time.

Awesome time at the Fort Worth stockyards. Experienced the cattle drive, mechanical bull ride, and close encounters with Longhorns! A must visit for k8ds and adults. Plenty of places to eat, drink, and be merry! Be prepared to walk on brick pathways, that aren't all level. Great place! We loved it.

So much fun! Free for the family with the normal side things that cost money. They have a tour for $8 a person, behind the scenes of the stockyards and now a tunnel underground part of the tour you can see! There's a nice maze for the kids ($5) a kid but they have a free cattle run they run every few hours.

Unsure why my previous review and pics never posted. It's always a great place to visit. If you take the paid guided tours it's $8 you get an hour of info plus places you don't get to see if you walk around. The cattle drive is a big attraction pay attention to the person speaking because he's always announcing free events going on. Pony rides are $6 but can't weigh more than 100lbs. You can take pics on the bulls $5 you got 3 different ones to choose from. The museum is $2 lots of history there. Parking is $15 about $18 if the machine is down and you have to do it online.

Lots of great stores, restaurants, and experiences here! The gun fight show was very fun, but might be loud for little kids. This is a great viewing spot for the Cattle Drive. Parking is nearby - most of it is paid. It gets crowded later in the day but with most of the walking being outdoors, it was fine!

This was our second visit. We didn’t realize that they only did the street fight on the weekends so we were looking forward to that along with the longhorn cattle drive. The longhorn cattle drive was very entertaining, my children (of all ages) thoroughly enjoyed it! We all enjoyed the shops and many food options. Some of the shops offer the same things, so don’t buy the first thing you see. If you see something and love it, only purchase it after you’ve checked that the other shops aren’t 20-30% cheaper.

Love this place! It's the old stockyards. A lot of it has been converted into stores, and they all carry lots of western type clothing, house decorations, and some food, as well as Ft. Worth souvenirs. It's also where they do the daily cattle drive with the longhorns. We always enjoy that! We go through here every time we go to Ft. Worth!

Great little tourist stop. We could have stayed a lot longer to see all the cool shops and great food. Plus the longhorn cattle stroll was very informative. Who knew their horns never stopped growing.

Fort Worth is a must-see if you are in the Dallas Fort Worth Area. So much history and beauty. Had an incredible lunch at Cooper's Old Time Pit Bar•B•Que. Enjoyed watching the long horns come down the street. The unique shopping and art galleries. All and all a wonderful time.

We made just in time to see the cowboys herding the Longhorn cattle! That was amazing for the entire family. We watched the gun show play that followed right after. Lots of shops and restaurants/bars. So much to do for the entire family. We went on a Saturday so there was quite the crowd. Great atmosphere for all ages. I recommend going at least once. You will get a taste of that old Texas culture. Lots of walking. Make sure to bring cash as many of the vendors don’t accept credit cards. The stores do but the vendors along the street did not.

A fun place for the whole family: horse and pony rides, old-timey coaches and wagons, petting zoo. Loads of restaurants and bars to cater to most tastes, as well as shops to buy souvenirs (or cowboy boots and hats) to remember the day trip which this place rightfully deserves. Parking is a little pricey, but you may be lucky to find a sport on the neighboring streets. The cattle drive, which is reported as the main attraction, is probably the biggest letdown: it is about half a dozen cows accompanied by almost as many cowboys. I imagined something way bigger and more spectacular than a brief walk around the block with people lining up the street so that you could barely see anything. Yet, it is an absolute must for anyone who comes to Dallas/Fort Worth. You won't regret it! P.S. don't forget the train ride!

I got to see longhorns!!! It smells amazing, like BBQ meat. It's fun to people watch. However, a lot of the stores were only for rich people. Who has $4,000 for a pair of boots in this economy?!?

My first time here, we stopped on a whim to check out. It was quite interesting loved the shops, petting zoo, trail rides, train rides.... So much to see and do! Definitely a trip worth planning for an event or concert. Family oriented or couples getaway.

Fun place to walk around on a nice night! The shops do close a bit earlier than we expected but we got to check out some of them. Lots of cowboy shops and other things to visit. Restaurants in this area are quite pricey since it’s a tourist town. Lots of lights up around Christmas time so the area is pretty well lit at night. Parking is available in various lots for around $5.

Fort Worth has one of the most historic country places in Texas. There's a lot of places to eat shop watching actual cattle drive twice a day. That's also good food good music a mechanical bull. There's also a petting zoo and horses you can ride on as well. It has the whole package plus kind of be Fort Worth Walk of Stars plates on the floor.

What a great experience. Fun shopping and eating. A staged gun fight, a long horn cattle drive a quick history lesson about the stock yards. Just a good family fun day.
