The woman that's allegedly the manager is super hateful. People were coming in at all hours being loud as hell and nothing was done, but the day we checked out she scolded us like children as we carried our bags out because we were going to wake other guests...it was 10 am. The hotel had a horrible smell upon entering and our toilet was broke the entire time we were there. I complained to the "manager" on 2 different occasions. She said she would send maintenance, never did. We had to literally get on our hands and knees to turn water off to toilet after every use. It was not on a comfort level of clean. We slept on top of the comforter with our own blankets as to not have to get in between the sheets. It was non-refundable so we stuck it out, but will never step foot in this hotel again. Worst experience ever! The only positive thing i can say is the guy that checked us in was super friendly and very informative.

The location was perfect for the stockyards. Walking distance to everything! The room we stayed in was really small but quaint, basically a bed and room to walk around it.. The shower was probably 2 foot by 2 foot. The old school room keys made me a little nervous but I'm assuming it hasn't been a big issue before or they would have changed it... The lady at the front desk was nice.

My mom had stayed here about 5 years ago and wanted to go back. Little did she know that owners had changed since then. It was the most TERRIBLE hotel I’ve ever stayed! If only I had double checked the reviews prior to her booking. 😩Like many had posted on other sites, we had to pay with cash and receptionist was rude. We were in room 13. Once I stepped foot in the room, the smell of insect pesticide filled the air. We went down to see if we could get another room. Of course no room available, but were handed some great room spray. 🙄 No way is that smell ever going away. On top of that the pillows and mattresses were stained, mold on every vent, thick dust on all furniture and carpet. Something about this place is just not right. Live and learn! Never again!

The only good thing about it was the location. The hotel was not clean, needs a deep clean, the maintenance was lacking. On turning on my bedside light the shade fell off..dust bunnies everywhere...wire poking from ceiling where the smoke alarm should have been. Reception very off hand and brusk. Do not take card payment (in this day and age!). Very noisy till 1am from bar right next door. We did not feel the bedding was clean and the beds were made up in a haphazard way. Escaped at first light!

The female owner/ manager lives on premise and acts like you are putting her out no matter what you do. The first room has no HVAC, the second room had been used but not cleaned but it was late so she told me to make do with that room or leave there were no more rooms. I said I would leave and refund my money or I was calling the police. She miraculously found me another room. The bed was uncomfortable, the TV didn't work. The hot water was luke warm at best. It was a horrible night's stay at any price but she charged me $100.

When I first arrived, I waited for the hotel staff to put her phone down for five minutes; she said she was speaking long distance to India. The old TV did not work and staff did nothing to fix problem, even after requesting help twice. The continental breakfast consisted of individually wrapped Honey Buns that appeared old and a pot of black coffee was brewing. Air conditioner was a window unit and it worked great. Beds were fine. Shower incredibly small. Wifi worked but I had to go back to lobby to get password. Telephone in room did not ring to front desk. When I checked-out, I told the staff again that the tv never worked, and she didn't seem concerned, nor did she offer compensation for the problem.

The lady at the desk speaks broken English and called me the day before arrival and day of, wanting to know what time I would be there!! She lives in the first unit by the front door. We came in after midnight and the door to the hotel (motel) was unlocked! When we checked in it was 105 outside. Got to our room (no elevator) and the A/C was not on! Took until the evening to cool off!! They do not have free parking. Parking on the street is free if you can find a spot! Breakfast is a packaged honey bun from Walmart and coffee. The bathroom was nasty! No window covering, the shower stall was so small I could barely wash my hair. The air conditioner was a window unit with duct tape around it. The vinyl mini blinds had missing slats! The curtains were tucked on top of the air conditioner!! We were on the second floor and could clearly hear peoples conversation on the sidewalk below the window as they walked by, even with the air on high!! The linens were clean, thank goodness or I would have been gone. The location is awesome for the Stockyards but not worth it. Next time, I will stay at the Stockyards Hotel on Exchange Street, Hyatt Place by Stockyard Station, or Marriott Courtyard across from Billy Bobs!

This is the WORST customer service I have EVER seen. We booked our room for the wrong weekend, the weekend after we came to town, and went to check in and realized the mistake. We told the man working to cancel that reservation and we would stay in a different hotel that night because they did not have any rooms available. He replied with, "okay I will tell the manager and cancel the reservation". The week passes and we check our bank account, and they charged us for that reservation when we were 2 hours away and not even in that town. We have both called numerous times, and the man said the money would be refunded within 24 hours. It has now been almost 72 hours and I just called them to discuss the matter, and got griped out by the woman and she ended up hanging up on me. If our money is not refunded by in the morning, we will be contacting the police. This is ridiculous and I have never met another human as rude and disrespectful as the woman I spoke with today.

Stayed here for our honeymoon. The walls were dirty, the air filter was black and they don’t dust. The tv didn’t work. It took 4minutes (yes. 4 minutes) for the water in the shower to get hot and my husband didn’t even make it thru a 5 minutes shower before the water was cold again. We never did get hot water in the sink. We were told we could check in at 1 and at 4:30 our room still wasn’t ready. the rustic decor was cool, though. It’d be a great hotel if they would clean it and take pride in what they have. Instead, they’ve let it get run down. It’s a shame. We won’t be returning.

Perfect location! Right in the middle of the stockyards. Small rooms but we didn't come to stay in our room all day. My son spilled juice all over himself when we were having lunch and we literally walked across the street to hotel and changed him and were back before everyone else was done eating. Couldn't ask for better location. It fit in perfectly with the ambiance rustic rooms and friendly staff.

Our experience was AWFUL! Terrible customer service. When we arrived, our room that we were assigned had a tv that didn't work & a HUGE hole in the wall where the AC window unit was installed. There was a literal cold draft coming through the hole into the room. It appeared to be fixed once before with DUCT TAPE. Professional, right? When we voiced our complaints, we were told it was from all the "drunk" that come in and break stuff..... okay. After enough complaining, we were assigned another room. This room wasn't much better, but it was at least warm. The only good thing i can say is that it's at a good location in regards to the stockyards, and the sheets and towels were clean. We will NOT stay here again.

Was a little hesitant to stay here after reading all the bad reviews, but decided to try it because it was the only reasonable priced hotel. The room was small, but cozy, it was clean, the bed was pretty comfy. It wasn't too noisy, had a good night's sleep. The manager was nice, they had coffee, orange juice and cookies for breakfast. I would definitely stay again. It's nothing fancy but beats the heck out of $300 a night somewhere else.
