Microtel has saved my life once. It was maybe about 6 years back and my son was still in diapers and barely walking. I had drove in from Arkansas late one night and it was pouring down rain hard and so very bad you would have thought that you were in the middle of a tsunami! It was just me and my toddler son alone and still had another 4 hours of traveling time to reach my destination, but there was no way that I could continue any further in that weather. So l had no choice but to find a room for the night and I pulled over to try and find something online that could fit my budget , as i hadn't prepared for this storm to intercept me like this. Every single hotel, motel, Holiday Inn was sold out. Even this Microtel , located at Tanacross and Beach, according to the information posted online. I have always adorned microtel in the past and its actually my most favorite choice and place to stay whenever i am selecting hotels with similar rate classes. So i drive up to the Microtel anyway. Low and behold, they were booked as the online info stated. But the young woman there saw me and my son drenched from the storm outside and told me that she would give me the handicapped room that was located on the first floor but it wasn't cleaned because someone had actually checked out a few hours prior and housekeeping would have to clean it in the morning, but instead she said she would go and clean it for me right then and there. I didn't write have enough money to afford the room, food, and travel so she discounted it and didn't tax me and me and my child had a warm, comfortable and safe place to sleep that night. I will ALWAYS remember this and I will ALWAYS choose Microtel!

Never have i ever had a problem getting my deposit back with any hotel. It was $100 cash. We were acused of vaping in the room Wich we didn’t do. This might sound like a silly review but i feel its unfair to not recieve the deposit back for something we simply did not do. On top of that i was charged for a queen and got a full size bed. Sheets werent washed properly. Really dissatisfied how the front manager handled everything when i was taking to him calmy.

You get what you pay for and I pay under a $100 for my room, so in that regard it was fair. The room was adequate for someone like me who was traveling alone and needed it for only one night, but I will not stay at this hotel in the future. There were noises all night and I was in the third floor. The Heater comes in all night long waking you up every time. . The walls are paper thin and you hear every step you take on the floor. I liked that the bathroom had a fan (because I was on the top floor) and my room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. Plan for breakfast elsewhere, especially if you like having coffee as theirs comes from a carafe that keeps it cold and it tastes like they don't put enough coffee when they brew it.

Tge man working the desk during my check-in was very rude. Tried to extort me for $100 cash deposit and did not want to take my card. *SCAM * One person drinking heavily at the front door and two people with obvious drug addiction issues sitting in the parking lot. Upon check-in, there was an issue with what appeared to be, in my opinion, large blood steaks on the wall of the room. Never recommending this hotel and writing review to warn others. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Breakfast might as well be non-existent. All the reviews are correct, and I wish I had seen them prior to booking. Update: Being rude and the deposit are completely separate. The employee was rude, period. Also, the employee asked me for $100 cash when I presented a credit card. The card was used for only a $60 deposit hold. Why the differing amounts? Lesson learned. Never again.

This location is not in a very upscale or even metro part of town. The breakfast did not exist and the rooms are dated to say the least. It is obvious that it's an old property. The employees do not have uniforms at all and people from the street have access to just walk through the place all night. There is no attendant on duty at night. The door has a key card reader, but its disabled so you can just come in. I was shocked by this place. I stayed st Microtel in San Antonio and loved it. The guy at the desk the morning we left was playing a racing game on his laptop, had his street clothes on, and said he couldn't print me a receipt upon checkout. 😳 Let's not get me started on the out of temp fridge with a half used gallon of milk and several containers of yogurt in it.

Not sure what these other reviews are talking about. This place is just fine. Maybe it's not the best area but it's certainly not horrible. It's not a drug hotel by any means. The room we stayed in was clean and decently sized for a great price. I mean come on, it's a 60 dollar hotel, you definitely get more than you paid for at this place.

The man at the front is the absolute rudest person I have ever spoke to. We arrived at 130am to check in. I immediately asked for a late checkout (by 1hour) and he said that should be fine but to call and ask in the morning. So, we did that. He then informed me that there is no late checkout and he would CALL THE COPS if we weren’t out by 11. I am appalled and flabbergasted by this guys behavior and lack of empathy for a couple that drove here from Sedona, AZ! (14hour drive) and can’t get an extra hour!

The breakfast bar was a joke. Cereal, bananas, milk and coffee. Had us expecting a contintal breakfast instead there's children's breakfast. At least clean the muck out of the swimming pool whether it's usable or not, very disgusting. I can not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Service and price were not at all bad, but there were a few issues with the room. Things like every drawer and cabinet had an issue. Most notable was the missing drawer front, and every cabinet had at least one broken or missing hinge. And yes as some other have said the rooms are very dated, but the lobby and other public areas were rather well maintained. I don't think this is a hotel I will be using again.

First of all the hotel smells like cigarettes when you first walk in. Then they have a no visitor policy which is completely absurd to me. Because of previous customers behavior. but they also charge you a deposit fee. The hotel is ugly and out dated. If I'm paying over $100 no one should have a say so on who I decide to bring in MY room. The smoke detectors don’t work in the rooms well mine didn’t at least… Be glad I don’t call code compliance. Also the customer service there is terrible! The only person that was nice to me was a little short guy. If you want guests to visit you or your family member to come visit you they have to meet you in the lobby they’re not allowed upstairs. Because that makes a lot of sense? The women that work there are rude definitely gave me racist vibes. Pretty sure the pool had mold in it looked disgusting. Take your business elsewhere people don’t stay here.

This is by far the WORST hotel I've ever stayed at, all the front desk receptionists are rude and unprofessional especially the bald guy that works during the day with his wife. The sheets had blood stains which they did not replace also the pull out couch was really uncomfortable, the mattress felt like a piece of cardboard. I recommend that NO ONE stay at this hotel, just pay a bit extra and save yourself the hassle of dealing with the front desk receptionists and the bloody sheets. There are many more issues with this hotel, but I don't want to write a novel, hope this helps others!

I am still in disbelief. A personal hand towel was removed from my room and unfortunately, I didn’t discover it until checkout the next day. By that time, I am sure it was already in circulation. The hotel refused to give me back my towel or any other towel for that matter. What has service come to? The front desk rep checked with housekeeping and was informed that two bath towels and two hand towels were removed from the room the previous day. How can that be correct if four additional towels were also given? That would have meant that four bath towels and four hand towels should have been removed. This information was used to not give me back the personal towel taken from my room. I am very disappointed. Hotels are willingly to lose a customer over $2 linen.

The rooms are pretty cute. It is not in disrepair, just most of the repairs aren't aesthetically pleasing. Breakfast was sad. I don't know if they just didn't have it fully open at 7am when I was headed out, but they never said when it was. All that was there was milk, yogurt, and cereal. And coffee of course. The $100 deposit is kinda a lot for a $60 room, but whatever. They gave it right back when I left the next day. The bed was not comfy. It was like sleeping on a rock.

I can't tell you about the rooms because I never made it that far. I needed a room for just my wife and i and our dog. The room was a little on the expensive side already but I had to put a $60 deposit down. So I did we were tired I had to park on the side of the building because there was no parking spots out front park the car get out get the dog out and make our way inside and soon as we hit the elevator we hear a lady yelling at us and come to find out they don't allow dogs. Well if that's the case why didn't they tell me that before I paid for the room put the deposit down and sign my name. I don't know if they're a bad place or not but I won't go back.

This hotel is in a good location. It's not the best hotel though. I stayed on the first floor and it was EXTREMELY quiet. The hotel could use some serious upgrading. The pool is closed. The rooms smell awful (not all of them) and the homeless population roams all day and night. My room was very clean. Upstairs is where it's really really nasty. Think bloodstains and weed smoking. The stairwell is disgusting too. 😒 The staff was nice. I arrived at 4am and they let me choose my room. I'm sure they could see I was disappointed. This is not a hotel I would stay in again. Quite frankly, 94.00 was waaaay too much.

A great place to stop and smell the coffee. The staff was very friendly and the others guest were too. I felt very safe parking my vehicle and indulging in a weekend getaway Pro: the window opens up completely Con: Their is no window screen. Yah girl could have took a tumble. Overall, I would totally rebook and so should you. Thank you for allowing me to experience your space.

-I wished I paid just a few more dollars to never have such a terrible experience. -received weird calls from front desk in the early morning by someone just breathing into the phone. -worst hotel experience ever, can’t imagine even our enemies staying there. -Owned and run by racist Indian family that believes everyone is beneath them. They mistreated a good family for some stupid towels, worst people there is.

This hotel is a very nice hotel. With my experience my room was clean. I never saw any bugs. They stay on top of making sure your lining is clean daily. The people who work there are veery courteous. The breakfast is a little lame, and without there pool and exercise room open due to COV, entertaining oneself can be an adventure.

My friend booked a room here, through Ogoda. The agreement stated that there would not be a deposit. When we checked in, they charged a $60 deposit. When we checked out, they kept the deposit, not recognizing that my dog, is a registered service animal and called the police. They told my friend they were calling police and he could wait and speak with them, thinking that we wouldn't. When the police arrived, they lied and said that he refused to leave, after she told us to wait for them. We left, without deposit. My friend spoke with Ogoda , confirming that no deposit was supposed to be asked for, much less, kept! Severely crooked management. I provided them with my animals registration proof. There was pee stains on the sheet and hair in bathroom, like a partial clean. Not very nice people!

I strongly advise against staying at this place! The room was extremely unclean and had a severe bug infestation. There was a terrible odor, holes in the walls, and bed bugs everywhere. When I requested to change rooms, the problems continued. The bathroom lights didn't work, and even after a staff member replaced them, I was shown six more rooms, all of which were in deplorable condition. The manager Roma Patel was absolutely no help at all! This place should be closed down

I checked in on December 31. I got sick on January 2 and was diagnosed with covid 19. I informed the manager that I had it and would isolate. I was just informed by the manager that they want me to leave tomorrow morning because they are afraid I will give thier staff covid. Mind you I am isolating in my room. I have never been treated so unprofessionally and inhumanly in my life. I told the manager that I would never blame the hotel for me getting Covid like she blamed me. Very sad. Now instead of finishing my isolation so I can go home, I am praying I can find a hotel close by to stay at. This is a horrible horrible place with a very unprofessional manager!!

We chose this hotel do to the location being close to a conference and the Wyndham name. That was our mistake, I should have read the reviews and done more research. The rooms were not clean, they were smelly, and with holes in the walls and cracked bathroom sink. We went for breakfast at 7:30am and there was only cereal and a jug of milk. They didn't even bring the chairs off the tables so there was a place for us to eat. We felt unwelcome to eat breakfast down the breakfast/lobby area.

Awful. Treated with indignities. Asked for extra pillows (you get 1 per guest, I get it) but was asked "you need more cushion?" Well, my moms shoulder is all metal and it causes discomfort, was it necessary to explain though? Also, I was lead into their laundry room and directed to grab the extra items myself. Plug ins were not secure. The room was dusty, phone didn't work and the continental breakfast was 2 cereals and a shared milk jug for guest. The pool needs renovation so even if it was warmer...you can't use it...there is no fitness room that we could find either. Each time we approach front desk we are treated rudely. We were provided 2 towels. When I asked for more as we had 3 people, again, I was directed into the laundry room and get them myself. The mattresses also have large brown stains and some of the furniture is torn up. Yes, we are aware the surroundings are a bit cheaper, bit come on...guest abuse is unacceptable and so is false advertisement and being treated as a disease. Don't go here. Go next door...it is half the price anyways...

This at one time was probably a very nice hotel. It has signs of age and poor repair work. The pool is permanently closed and it isn't reflected on the website. The toilet tissue is directly in front of the toilet, about 2 feet away and difficult to reach. There were no tissues in the bathroom. For this to have a small kitchen area, there were no kitchenware or utensils of any kind. Not even paper plates. There were people standing near the doorway smoking at all times. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked great.

Would NEVER recommend the Microtel Inn to anyone. After checking in. Getting up to our rooms(2) Room #1 smelled of spoiled milk and was extremely warm(Didn't seem ready or cleaned) Room 2 had a better smell. If you can say that. Went back down to asked for a new room. 2nd option smelt of mold, and old food. Front Desk came up. Showed us room #3. Finally we found one that "smelled" clean. Got things settled. Went out for food, found a near by park so our children could stretch. Was nice, clean. Kids enjoyed themselves. Hamilton Park. Got back to our rooms. Started bedtime. Pulled out our coach bed. As you can see in the picture, how disgusting the mattress was. So back down to front desk we went. Front desk found another mattress, pulled it down the hall. SMH.. We asked for extra sheets and covered it the best we could. Trying to just laugh it all off. So we could get some sleep. Next morning. Our family went down for the "Continental Breakfast" which wasn't much. Cereal, Milk (only saw a gallon) so I'm guessing it was community milk -😂, some Yogurt and Juice. Needless to say- Huge Flop and Disappointment !! 10/10 would NOT recommend this place. But I would like to add. Our Front desk assistant she was nice and as helpful as she could be. Thanks for reading this far 👍🏼 PS forgot to mention the pool. I bet they had a good laugh when we called before our stay asking if it's open. Pictures on Priceline definitely are not updated.

Checked in and out a few times this week. Highly satisfied with the service and cleanliness of each of my rooms. The night auditor understood my concerns because I booked through a third party so she allowed me to check my room first, before payment, that was beyond accommodating. Although they do not allow visitors it’s good because it reduces the traffic and activity as there are a few other surrounding hotels. I appreciate the staff being nice to my children and I.

Very Rude lady at front desk I booked a room and then she said she was not gonna charge my card till I got my friends ID to add him but she did anyway. Then said we can't rent because... and then could not even even give a reason. She said he looked like someone on the not allowed to rent there list. And he has never been there. So now because she lied i have to to wait 3 to 5 days for my money to post back to my account. I believe it was racial discrimination.

Entrance to "hotel" currently exudes ambiance of a haunted house entrance. Very tammed in a beige decor choice; automated approach to customer needs. Overly Expensive as most hotels seem in the days of economic recession and covid restraints restructuring and lack of knowledgeable attendants for guests to be able to be inn and not sweet enough to stay. Will most likely need to try another time ..hopefully not soon though.
