We've always enjoyed this park. It is a nice place to play in the water, the playground, or to take pictures. The kids enjoy playing with the ducks too. Sometimes they even fish there. They often find frogs and other things to entertain them as they go around the beach too. There is a nice view of the marina, so the kids can see all the big boats.

There was a barbecue, right next to the lake with a tiny beach, had a playground that is suitable for most kid ages. Downsides are that there were some wasps, the playground equipment was too hot to play on, and previous people(s) didn't pick up all their trash.

This has always been one of my favorite spots to bring my grandson. We were so disappointed and angered by what we found today. I'll never understand why anyone would feel the need to vandalized and deface property. Spoke with a family visiting the park and contemplating moving to the area. This definitely made a negative impression of the neighborhood.

It’s a nice playground by the lake and a good place to have a party but people are relentlessly leaving their stash of trash everywhere. It could have been neat and more fun to look everywhere. I hope the county should implement stricter rule to maintain the tidiness of this park. People should also contain their trash and dispose it properly.

This is a lovely park it's a great place to go take a dip to beat the Texas heat. However the problem is that there is so much trash everywhere. People come and have picnics at the picnic tables and somehow neglect to put things in the trash bins that are being provided They just leave all their styrofoam and plastic garbage trash fast food junk on the ground and it's very difficult with walking the dogs because they try to eat all the garbage on the ground. Aside from that it's very unsightly and unnecessary for everyone to just throw their trash on the ground and it would be a much nicer place if people would simply clean up after themselves.

I love this park! I always come swim with the dogs and family. It's clean and it's a big area. Brought my German here for his 10th birthday. It's his favorite place to swim.

Stopped by on the way to the reserve nearby and it has a really nice view of the lake, found tiny sea shells by the water.

water at the park area was very very nasty huge bones everywhere water murky. no way i would get in that water. there was a couple people in the water i asked them how the water was and they were getting out looking for a better area to try to get in the water. camp joy use to be the absolute best place to drive up to and go run and get in the water but that was a very very long time ago

Open lake view, very quiet. Vulture are in the trees, but total bliss. Playground is there for the kids and picnic tables around the park.

My kids love the playground and I enjoy the view of the lake! There are plenty of shade trees and a few picnic tables for small gatherings.

Since covid I've struggled to find great, safe and fun places to take my toddlers. My mom and sister kidnapped us there and I was pleasantly surprised by the quiet, plentiful and clean scenery. They had ample space to play, scream, laugh and explore without too much worry on my end. They even had a chance to splash in the water with new friends who happened by. No place is ok to turn your attention completely away so I'll warn about the easy accessibility of the lake, so just beware of that, but it was easy to enjoy and we can't wait to return for another peaceful unplanned afternoon.

Nice park. Great for hanging out with the family. Right by the lake, has a nice play ground, benches, tables and trash cans. Does only have a portapotty.

Beautiful, well-maintained park with numerous mature trees of all kinds. Great place for a relaxing walk. Wildlife includes the egret, great blue heron, killdeer, giant dragonflies and more. Especially beautiful at sunset and is a good place to see Fall colors in late October and November. Has a playground with swings for the kids and plenty of picnic tables, some with grills.

It's a beautiful park to enjoy the sights, really calm winds and a still lake make this a scenic place to check out.
