We've been members for a few months now and haven't had any issues, staff are really friendly and the machines are rarely down. However, now that the weather is kicking up in texas (which is normal of course) to the 90s, the gym's AC appears to not be working so it's very muggy and hot in the gym. I'm not over exaggerating when I say it's almost unbearable, had to leave mid-workout due to feeling lightheaded and dizzy from the heat. We've asked a handful of different employees when it will be fixed so we can return to working out and they keep saying "sometime this month". I know it's not their fault and comes from higher up, but this is just frustrating and a pretty important thing that's seems like it should be prioritized now that summer is amongst us. I really hope this gets resolved soon or we'll be forced to cancel our membership!

This gym is at a convenient location which is a major plus however… this gym is pretty dated for an LA fitness. All their cardio equipment is dated and rusted!!! Treadmills with poor support and noisy when someone is using them. The staff allow these machines to be used and do not place signs on broken noisy equipment. If you want to workout in a sauna type setting, this is the place. The AC does not work/has never worked in 6+ months!!! And apparently it is too expensive and upper management won’t do anything about it so tough luck. They have industrial type fans upstairs which are always off!!! Why they don’t turn them on when it’s 100degress inside is beyond me. This place is disgusting. There are no sweat towels and people absolutely do not clean up after themselves. So imagine the amount of sweat in this sauna gym setting and no one cleans up after themselves. This place is disgusting to say the least. consider yourself warned before you sign up!!! I’ll update my review once the AC is fixed.

The gym is fine, very basic but the lack of air conditioning is ridiculous. It is 100 degrees outside and they have no AC and the fans aren’t even turned on. What is the point of having giant fans if you aren’t using them esp when the AC is not working. Fix the AC, and I will update my review. Update: the AC is fixed! The gym is conveniently located. It’s not overly clean, it doesn’t have the best equipment, but does the job. Wish they would add some wet wipes for equipment instead of the current paper towel situation.

They really need a glute drive and deadlift platform. I hardly see people use the Hack squat machine and there is room alongside the other basketball wall, especially for some extra squat racks. The vending machine does not have a good sugar free electrolyte drink, just sugary powerades. They also are ridiculous expensive. A complimentary coffee bar would be greatly appreciated. The staff are nice and great. The dumbbells station is filthy though and needs a deep cleaning. I wish they were open later everyday too.

Sales representatives giving inaccurate information about memberships to make a sell. Have been coming to this gym for over a year, get stopped at front to question my account, come to find out the sells guy set inaccurate expectations. Drive over 30 minutes to come this this gym specifically, not any longer. Also will be sharing this experience with coworkers family and friends. Losing 1 customer may be nothing to a big corporation. Without customer satisfaction no one has jobs. Sharing this to the community and to LA Fitness to learn from experiences and do better with knowledge, training, and communication. No one took ownership or tried to step in and solve the issue. 4 employees standing in front.

Good luck finding a manager to cancel your membership. Been twice and called twice to see manager to cancel she is never there. How odd. Almost like it’s planned to never be available to cancel. Don’t bother changing your payment card as they can get the new card number through some third party company. You have to file a dispute through your bank to block merchant (LA Fitness) since you can’t ever get ahold of the manager. 3 times they’ve said “leave your name and number and she will get ahold of you.” Been waiting a month and nothing. Also the equipment is old and half the machines are noisy and rattle.

I love the people that go to this gym to workout, something about the crowd, so friendly and welcoming. The equipment could use some updating and work. I love to row and they only have one, it's loud when you're using it and definitely not set to proper pull strength. The pulley machines are extremely hard to adjust the heights, gotta ask someone with super muscle to adjust or you're stick at that height, a lot of machines are missing their add on weight numbers so you don't know if you're adding 5 or 15 lbs till you go to use your new weight set, It's extremely clean in the ladies bathroom and showers with good space and nice lockers to use. Has good basketball area and gym class areas.

The worst LA fitness I’ve ever been to. I’m giving it 1 star because I can’t select 0 unfortunately. This is due to the management’s terrible response to the Men’s sauna constantly being shut down, for approximately the past 2 years, and then neglecting their responsibility to address this. Rather than taking initiative, they continually state it’s someone pouring water over the rocks and that’s simply not the case. The frequency is too consistent for that to hold true and this is especially so as the vast majority of the Men’s locker room has proactively kept an eye out for this. Additionally, the gym was providing fans in the Men’s locker room, a basic amenity available at nearly every commercialized gym such as 24hr and LA, and then they took those away with no supported reason. I’m all for getting a sweat in on the floor and sauna, IF it’s even working, but to take that away for drying off post workout is extremelyy cheap. This in conjunction with their negligence to address the sauna clearly articulates they don’t care about the members and it shows. Steer clear of this gym if you can help it.

2nd floor AC not working. TVs on most equipment never working. Hot tub always out of service for 3-4 years been going there. Must be expensive rent. Huge space. Maybe that's why LA Fitness can't or does not want to spend on anything to make repairs... place is worn out,. I mean at least AC & FIX THOSE TVs ON THE EQUIPMENT

I don’t like having to post negative reviews but after two months at this gym I feel I need to save someone the experience. If you read the reviews that are old and say the AC doesn’t work and assume that a year later they would have fixed it you would unfortunately be wrong. The last thing I want to do when it’s 105 outside is to workout in a hot gym. The fans they brought in don’t cool just blow hot air around. The owner needs to spend the capital and fix the issue. I would cancel and workout elsewhere but I decided on paying the initiation fee to opt for a lower monthly assuming I would be here longer term. Second issue is the water fountains. They are rarely cold, more warm and sometimes hot. Like steeping tea hot. So unfortunately I can’t cool off from the lack of ac because the water is warm at best. The location of this gym is the only positive. Not enough to bring this to an acceptable fitness center. Look elsewhere.

Employee name Brad is one of the most racist person I’ve met. In several encounters he’s degraded people in color and it’s unacceptable. Management should do a better background check on people they hire. Disgusting.

Why can they not make cancelling easier??? We feel like we are being held hostage-- told to go online and print cancellation form but their system won't send the authorization email. Called tech support and they say they aren't sure why it won't do that but that it just doesn't?!?!? Was told to go into the location. Went in and was told only M-F 9a-5p. Sorry if you have a job during those hours and can't come in. So frustrating and trapping people to stay in their contract does not make them want to do business with you.

Always positive environment with trainer and patrons. Fellow gym goers always are nice and helpful even . Very positive environment and no judgment. Can get busy from time to time but it’s expected because of the positive environment . I always feel fantastic after a good workout and some time in the sauna.

Parking is a bit of a hassle but once you figure it out, it's pretty simple. Still a lot of extra steps. Basketball courts are small and the flooring is a bit old, making basketballs bounce unpredictable. In the summer it gets very hot as the AC clearly does not work well. Water fountains can randomly dispense hot, gross water too. It's a very convenient location, with all other LA finesses out in the suburbs. If there was another LA fitness even remotely close by, i would opt for that one instead

From the people to the parking, I love it. The kids klub lady is amazing with the kids which is one of the most important aspects of visiting this gym is knowing my kids are safe and in good hands. I cannot say the same for any other location thus far. Workout machines are clean and placed in there own sections away from each other. The locker rooms could use some work maybe a remodel but all in all is fine. Appreciate a good gym I can call home. I actually drive further just to reach this location almost daily.

I’ve been to plenty LA fitness locations in my lifetime of lifting and this is the WORST one ever. Only reason why they get 1 star is because of the location. There is no AC on the 2nd floor which is the lifting floor. The water taste like rainwater and is warm it’s never been cold I would rather drink out of my kitchen sink and it would be colder. Working out in the summer months of 105-110 degrees this should be illegal. I’m surprised no one has passed out yet tbh. Fort Worth needs better lifting gyms but only go here if it’s your last resort.

Staff is really nice, Savannah in kids area is awesome. I actually prefer this gym over other locations and drive a bit further to come here. Staff seems to be kind and helpful. The atmosphere is comfortable and there is privacy when working out which is rare in a gym. The machines are set up in different areas which is nice to keep from having to see everyone in the entire gym at once. Parking is hassle free. Parking garage located around the corner. Most machines work I think I've onky seen 1 machine out of order. Sauna light doesn't work but still a good area. The people are kind and respectful.

1/1/24 I tried to workout here on New Year's Day and online it said open until 6pm but the workers closed it at 5pm :/ I got off work at 4:45 so I didn't have the chance to workout. 8/14/23 The pool is open! 7/25/23 Pool is closed until further notice. I feel bummed about this because I prefer swimming for my cardio. 6/27/23 The worker Caelen here was very helpful and kind. Respectable guy.

It’s a nice gym equipment wise, but it is one of the worst in terms of humidity. It always feels muggy except on the weekends when there’s less people. Just does not seem well ventilated and the way they space the machines is kind of strange. Wish there were more than 3 squat racks and their cardio equipment was a bit newer but it’s still the best location wise.

The new-ish front desk lady that is there in the mornings (7:00 AM) during the week is the best. She is extremely friendly and always greets you with a smile and some quick small talk. Everyone is generally nice, but she stands out! Hope she gets some recognition as she has made my LA fitness experience a lot better.

Apparently Brad is Racist. I was looking in to this gym and for being in West 7th, I thought maybe it's a nice gym, but after reading reviews and an apparent racist Brad, I'm not joining this gym

On our first visit, my wife and I asked a simple question about a day pass to try out the gym as potential customers. The employee at the service desk completely disregarded my wife, looking at/speaking only to me. She did not even attempt to make eye contact with her, even after my wife spoke up and told the employee she can speak directly to her. Throughout the entire interaction she was acting as if my wife wasn’t even there. They lost two potential customers and I would warn anyone thinking of getting a membership to avoid this place. The only reason we can think of why the employee would have disrespected/disregarded my wife like this is because of race, which is disgusting and depressing. 0/5 stars, and never going back.

I love the environment at LA Fitness! The culture that they are growing here is amazing and it’s all due to the great people that work here! Specifically Anthony and Gabby have been so welcoming and make my gym experience worth it here!

Gym is ok. I use personal training service which is $345 monthly for 6 sessions which seems somewhat high. I do like my trainer. However wish this location had more group exercise classes available like hip hop dance or aqua fit. Also wish basketball courts weren’t so crowded all the time.

Trying to quit LA Fitness at this location was such a headache. I was told only the Operating Manager could cancel my membership. 3 times I showed up at times she was supposed to be there and she was never in. After the 3rd time, I drove 20 minutes away to the next closest location and they helped me out right away. Also, the A/C hasn’t worked in this location for 2 years. Save your money and go elsewhere.

It is one of the largest LA Fitness gyms I have been to. The dumbells are nice and go up to the 120s. The dumbell benches really suck and seem low quality. 2 decent squat racks and a smaller power rack. The barbells are my biggest complaint. Some are bent, and others are just weird to use as they are thinker and smoother than others. Parkimg is free in the parking ramps if you get your ticket validated at the gym front desk. Overall, it is a decent gym if you are in the area.

I’ve been to a few LA fitness and this one is really well maintained. The weights are always where they are supposed to be. A/C complaints are true, should’ve been fixed but I usually go in the morning so it didn’t really affect me. Trainer Peyton Demann is a solid guy with a good workout plan.

A wonderful gym and a wonderful staff. I came in about a week ago and the AC was broken but they said they were working on it and now there is a noticeable difference. It is much cooler and comfortable to workout in.

Beautiful experience w/ the manager Giovanni. Made everything really easy to understand & didn't try to be a cheesy salesman to me or my lady. Absolutely love the way he represented the brand. Makes me a confident member going into the future w/ such an experienced, confident staff behind a great leader!

Personally I don’t like the layout; I think it can be optimized but anyway. It’s a very average gym and I recommend it for what it is.
