It’s a bridge and you cross it. No no times are 6 am and 2:30 to 7 pm. toll is $6 from Hayward to San Mateo and nothing going back to Hayward. It’s also spooky sometimes.

The toll is 7 dollars. They are raising it to 8 dollars next year I believe. When I moved here in 2017, the toll was 5 dollars, but they passed a bill saying that they would raise the toll by a dollar every year until it hit 8 dollars.

Functional but not as beautiful as the Golden Gate Bridge. I posted two pictures here of the remains of the bridge it replaced, located on the West side. The old bridge is not accessible to the public. There is the bay trail (paved) that goes under the newer bridge where you can hear the rumble of the passing cars and see the underside of the old bridge and it's replacement. Location is also directly below some of the flight path of planes landing at SFO approximately 6 miles north. 7th longest bridge in the USA but the longest bridge in California.

Every time we cross this bridge, I have a rush in being the longest bridge in California, fabulously built, we wonder how difficult it would have been to make a 7 mile long bridge and making life so easier.

Simple, 5 stars...this bridge has allowed transportation over water my entire life without falling into the bay yet. No complaints

This bridge crosses California's San Francisco Bay meeting with East Bay between Foster City of San Mateo and Hayward. The bridge is longest in California and 25th longest in the world. The length of the bridge is 11270 meters. Constructed in 1967.

You can enjoy the bay area view. Traffic is unpredictable. Today, it took two hours to cross the bridge not by walk but by car. The traffic picks up as early as 6 am. The sunrise view in your mirror is not enjoyable but the sun rays definitely add colour and energy to your body and spirit. Best place to enjoy a full moon . A late night drive on a full moon day is highly recommended.

San Mateo-Hayward Bridge is the longest fixed-link bridge in California and the 25th longest in the world by length. The bridge's western end is in Foster City, San Mateo and the eastern end of the bridge is in Hayward. That is why the name. The toll is $7, for FasTrak holders $3.50, and cash is not accepted.

    Wonderful drive

The longest bridge in California. May get congested during rush hours (trust me, you won’t want to be stuck in traffic on this bridge). On foggy days, the bridge seems never-ending as you couldn’t see the other side of the bridge. It is also a creepy bridge as you could make out ghostly screeches as you drive across (I know that is just the wind, but still).

Amazing bridge with great views. Toll is $7.00 and $3.50 for carpools. 3 lanes of CA-92 highway. Very convenient way to get across the SF Bay.
