This was my first time at Mario in eight years. I moved back to the area and so I booked this visit a few days before getting married. It was awful. My visit first started getting a manicure. Not only was the work absolutely sloppy (even the hair color technician commented that it looked like a child painted my nails) but this lady set a poor tone for the rest of my visit. When I told her who was doing my hair, she responded with “oh, he’s doing your hair? Be careful, he’s known for cutting hair too short.” When I went on to the next part in my assembly line, highlights, this technician started with how she was having “a day.” And also though conversation about the nail technician, she stated “this place isn’t like it use to be. I’ve been here for 15 years, and now we are just like every other place out there.” When I’m spending this much at what is suppose to be a high end salon, these are things I don’t want to hear. This technician also told the next guy in my assembly line, the hair cutter, what the nail artist said about him cutting hair too short. So when I went to the hair cutter, he greets me with “don’t worry I won’t chop your hair all off.” And then each time I tried to express how I wanted my hair, he would respond with things like “this isn’t my first rodeo” and other quirky comments directing his sarcasm at me for the things the nail tech said about him. This was a horrible experience to have right before my big day. Each technician talked negatively about the others and each one, minus the hair cutter, talked poorly about The salon all together. At the end of my appointments, the manager took off the cost of my manicure, but did not communicate that with his front desk, and then was in a meeting when I was checking out so that led to further confusion and disappointment. This was the worst salon experience I have ever had. I would never recommend this salon to anyone I care about.

Went here for the 100-minute Himalayan Salt Stone Massage with Megan, and it was fantastic. 100 minutes went by soooo quickly though, and I could have stayed for another 100 minutes. I was so relaxed afterward. I would go back (and will go back) to see Megan again.

Go see Justin for a massage. I've been getting massages for years and I definitely rank him in the top two. I had a few massages before a 3 day sports competition. The massages definitely helped me perform better at the event. Thank you for taking the time to address my specific issues and focus on the areas that needed the most work. Don't miss out schedule a massage with Justin. He is super professional.

Just had an awesome massage with Justin. He took the time to address any issues I was having after being injured and relieved a headache I had for two days instantly. He truly is amazing at what he does and made me feel comfortable and at ease. I left the salon feeling 100% better!!

Had the best experience here. Scheduled a massage, pedi, hair appt all in one day and everything went off without a hitch. There was a great coffee shop next door that I was able to have too while enjoyed my pedicure. The staff is friendly, engaging, and so helpful. Will recommend to everyone

I had a good experience at this Mario Tricoci salon for my hair cut and would definitely return for a hair cut with Brynn. However, where they fall flat both literally and figuratively for me was their color and blow out service. I needed a basic black root touch up and wanted a blow out. While the colorist was very pleasant when I left there was color on my forehead and neck. It also was not washed out properly. My blowout was a complete disaster. I explained to the person doing my blowout what I wanted, and he proceeded to tussle with my hair until I walked out of there looking like a poodle with spots of black dye on my forehead. I understand that the texture of my hair is thicker, and mishaps occur but I feel at this price point I should have at least had my hair styled the way I wanted. I ended up having to comb out the blow dry which had an insane amount of sticky product in it and add waves to the ends myself to make it look presentable. All the while my hair felt dirty because of all the product in it (which I did not ask for). If you have thick hair I would NOT recommend getting your hair blown out at this salon.

Kyle is AWESOME. He listened to what I wanted and delivered a GREAT haircut. He is an absolute artist in his profession. Professional and gave great advice about managing my hairstyle. I’ll definitely be back. Thanks Kyle

Well for a cut, color (balayage) and toner and blow dry (and obviously a shampoo) my bill was $348.00. I think that’s a bit pricey however I did love my hair when it was all said and done. The $348.00 included the tip. I picked the 20% tip option. The girl who cut my hair was different from the colorist and I did think it was a little impersonal that she didn’t see the color when it was dried. She didn’t even come over to see what I thought or if I liked it hated it… she vanished. However, the place is convenient in that you can get in any day you want even spur of the moment want a new hair style today.. easy peasy. Overall I would return, just not as often.. my hair looked really nice. 4 stars for price and the assembly line atmosphere.

Mario’s is my GO TO spot! I love my hair every time i leave there! Miranda has been cutting my hair for 5 plus years now and Chole colors it just as great! Very talented girls and always the best service!

I have got my hair cut with Rachida . She did a great job . She suggested what looks good for my face type, did multiple checks to see the layers are of same length. I left the salon very happy with the haircut i got.

James is absolutely wonderful. He was so kind and funny and was so sweet throughput the entire process, and my hair turned out absolutely AMAZING. I left feeling so relaxed and beautiful. Cannot recommend him enough!!

Got my hair colored with Melissa and cut with Riley and I had such an incredible experience. Melissa did a fantastic job giving me the exact color and look I was going for. She was quick with getting my hair colored and was so kind and fun to chat with. Riley styled and cut my hair exactly as I wanted as well and I was able to leave the salon feeling like a whole new person! I’ve had such bad experiences in the past getting my hair cut/colored, yet I was able to leave here confident and feeling beautiful. Will definitely be coming back!

Had haircut with Kyle SJ. Very experienced (has been invited to give Master classes on hair styling/cutting), detail-oriented, and artistic stylist who gave me exactly what I wanted (I asked for framed bangs, layers, and feathered ends)! It’s hard to find a stylist in the Midwest who works with Asian hair so well. K-beauty & hair is known to be advanced, and Kyle definitely brings those skills to the table. I highly recommend him, especially to my AAPI friends!

Sabrina is a very talented. I’ve used the other ladies for manicures and pedicures but Sabrina is hands down the best. She is very attentive to detail.

Scheduled an appointment for my spouse to get a deep tissue massage as a birthday present, almost 10 days in advance and they call me an hour and a half before the appointment to cancel because the therapist is out sick. All they offer is another appointment several hours later with a different person or the next day at 8am, which are very inconvenient times. I will schedule my husband for a massage at another business in town.

highly recommend booking your next appointment with Kyle! I usually go to barber shops but decided to try a new route and I was very impressed. Not only did he deliver an exceptional haircut but he also provided me with great advice on how to better care for my hair as well as styling tips that I really appreciate! I will definitely be coming back!

My bridesmaids and I got our hair and make-up done here 10/01/22. I would have to say that out of the other wedding prep experiences I have had, this was my favorite. I could be biased because it was my wedding day, but everything just went so smoothly and everyone came out looking amazing! We got to wait in the spa area for our appointments while we nibbled on some snacks we brought. Our make-up artist Stephanie was super friendly, knowledgeable and skilled. She did all of our make-up and informed us about everything she was using. I even got my own custom lip color which I look forward to wearing on future date nights! I usually go to Kelsey to get my haircut because she’s just so gosh darn friendly. She was able to get my hair absolutely perfect for my big day and I couldn’t be happier! Thank you also to Jenna, Ivet, Sayra and Rezahana for my bridesmaids’ updos and manicure!
