I have always loved visiting Goodwill locations and generally loved what they stand for and everything. And this location is no different. But today, we encountered a very anxious employee and her tag happened to say that she was some sort of manager. We were browsing around the check-out section near the end of our trip in and we noticed her pacing back and forth to the register and when we eventually made our way up to complete our purchase, you could tell she was incredibly impatient, asking us in a strange tone if we were "ready yet"...Try practicing some people skills. But otherwise, we were happy with our purchases today and we will of course be stopping in plenty of other times in the future.

Only thing worth buying there is the clothes. It's kinda aggravating that everything is donated for free and then they Jack the price up on everything was going to buy one of the game systems from them but when I found out they were itemizing everything and you had to buy the counsel separate from the controllers and games I did my research and they were 80 dollars higher then buying the whole package online everything included. I showed them and they wouldn't lower the price and were very rude about it. Before buying anything from them do your research to see what it is selling for online first before you get ripped off by a donation center!!!!

I used to shop here weekly but the prices are getting ridiculous. I switched to the Salvation Army near me. I actually got a punch bowl with 8 cups and a set of dishes for 8 people for three dollars. Their drinking glasses and cups and only less than a dollar. I was at this Goodwill last week and they wanted $4.99 for a coffee cup. The section was overflowing with cups and glasses no one was buying. Very sad. People donate these items to help people that are less fortunate than them and Goodwill used to opportunity to price gouge poor people.

Ahh nothing like trying to upcharge mothers for USED baby clothes!! Upped the price to a $1.50 per item! For a tiny newborn onesie? You can get at a gsale for .25-50cents or by the garbage bag for $20! Are you an organization that’s trying to make profit or help those who struggle? Greedy!!!

They took away more space from the men’s clothing section, now we are limited to just 4 clothing racks, I mean honestly? Why do women need 95% of the store this is just plain ridiculous. I’d rather go to savers or the goodwill in Algonquin than come here. It’s just unbelievable you can take away even more space.

My new favorite Goodwill store! Store is nice and organized, I found great stuff for reasonable prices including an authentic fur jacket and a vintage silk suit for 5.99 each, whatttt?! I found an Escada blazer, which was the color of the week, I got it for 3.00. I will definitely be back!

So I go in early morning, because I needed a cheap drop in receiver to replace the one that blew out that very same morning. There was this strange person, dressed in all black, hovering by me the entire time, like I am some thief at a GOODWILL STORE. It was very strange and discomforting. Its a good thing this Goodwill is NOTHING in terms of "stocked" items, compared to McHenry and a few other GWs I stopped at yesterday morning. Better stock, and no creepy kid in black. This Goodwill stinks!

Very interesting store to say the least. Seems like they are very over staffed..constantly bumping into employees walking around aimlessly with no work agenda seemed kind of strange to me. Some of the items seemed over priced by 1.99 compared to other goodwill stores. They seem to be over stocked with knic knac junk that nobody buys while the in demand clothes and other items stay hidden in the back..purposely? Or? Some of the books they put on the shelves are literally falling to pieces. Had a piece of book cover fly into my eyes while looking at books. The electronic section should just be thrown out completely .alot of items that should have ended up in the garbage on the shelves ??? Goodwill has being going down hill all across the board though so i guess its a poor management type of situation.

No return policy on website. Bought a blazer for my GF that was a size too small but it still had the tags on it and I had the receipt so I figured it wouldn’t be a big deal. Get to the store and tell me they only accept returns on “electronics.” I thought that was some kind of joke because nobody in their right mind goes to goodwill for electronics. This location is trash.

This place makes me feel like I have taken for granted the thrift stores in Chicago. I couldn't find one good quality garment throughout the whole store. Everything is cheap, polyester, Target brands. And the prices they're selling them for are laughable. If you want good quality, real fabrics like cotton, linen, silk, wool, and cashmere, don't even waste your time coming here.

I shop at a good amount of goodwills in the general area and this one specifically has the rudest employees. The girl at checkout tonight was very pushing and rushing through the process. In the past I have asked for assistance or questions and the employees will give you a lot of attitude. My shopping experience gets ruined by the poor service each time. Very disappointing:(

I only have one concern; price’s on items should not be more or the same on items that’s already in regular department stores. I’ve seen this on clothes to furniture. For my clients who really need the discount items have stop shopping there.

They do not put out a lot of stuff that’s worth buying. Plus the prices are ridiculous, $10 - $20 for items that are worth $2 & $5 for the junk they put out. Sometimes you can find stuff from the dollar store prices at 1.99.

I’ve found some good things here, but all in original condition. Beware of... skid marks. Lovely place to find well-priced business attire, but prices aren’t marked well.

This place was outstanding compared to most of the other Goodwill stores that I have been to. Everything is clean and organized. The clothes are on the correct hangers displaying the matching size. The clothes seemed sorted by color and style. The knick knacks were sorted and nicely placed on the shelves. The frames, purses, and shoes were all lined up nicely to see everything all at once. Friendly cashier too.

First time in this store and I was very impressed! Absolutely neat and very organized. I only shopped the clothes Dept and for me prices were pretty fare due to the fact I got all name brand which was a awesome turn out for me!

Prices have gone up considerably in this location compared to others. Still fun but WHY? You don't pay for the inventory you have raised the price for.

One of the best selections of a Goodwill I have seen in ages. I actually spent more time in here than planned. Got a great selection of weird tiny items that I love and are on display. Definitely would visit again.

I don't understand Goodwill... So I bought my daugther a pair of brand new Van's yesterday from there and they unfortunately are too small for her. So I brought them back today to return. And they don't take returns on anything but electronics??? They literally take EVERYTHING in donations new and used for a profit. But I can't return a pair of shoes I bought yesterday, tags still on them, and had the receipt for?!?! Another reason I hate goodwill. Such a scam. Don't donate to them. Donate to places where it actually benefits people and not just the Owner of the Company. (I understand it has nothing to do with the workers. They just have to follow the rules.)

Okay... I went into the Goodwill Store in C'Lake to look for a gift for a friend. While shopping, I lost my set of keys somewhere in the store. After replaying surveillance camera footage, it was not on film where exactly I lost them. The manager and 2 employees helped me search every shelf and beyond. Messages were broadcast over the intercom. About a half hour later, we found them! YAY! "Thank You" to the Goodwill staff in Crystal Lake, Illinois, that we're on a mission! Well done. Anyway, I purchased one of the items I set out to find (a clock), and I picked up this furry little friend after finding my keys. This is now my "Mini Purse / Key Chain". I attached them and they zip up inside. I will never lose my keys again. I must say, I felt kinda silly walking across the street with this on my shoulder, but I'm 53 and just don't care what people think anymore! My real life pup, Lucy, has since claimed it as her own pup. :) <3

Friendly staff and reasonably sectioned goods. Prices are quite low and make for a good place for cheap clothing and some decor. I do remember seeing a cheap airsoft rifle on display as well.

  • 4/5 Debra G. 3 years ago on Google
Very nicely organized! It is a bit dark in the store though. It's easy to shop for shelved items, as they are spread out a bit more than other stores.

Good sized clean store. Not over crowded. Had a good amount of clothes. I thought the men's section was bigger than others I've been to. The furniture looked to be in good condition. Cashier was pleasant. There were four or five fitting rooms that were in good condition.

the prices have skyrocketed in the past few months to the point I put almost everything back. it's a thrift store, things aren't supposed to be brand new price. and "the color of the day" tags are taken off the shelves and put in the back for those days. only reason I'm giving two stars is because the workers are very nice and it's corporates fault for the price gauging.
