What a great find. We went here because it looked decent and was near our hotel. Now we might stay in that hotel again just to be close to J & M! Where to begin? The food is amazing: great menu, unique offerings (Reuben omelet anyone?), catering to a range of tastes and appetites. The fact that greens were offered in place of carbs was a very nice touch. Then there's the service: friendly, helpful, accommodating, professional, attentive, and quick. The atmosphere is intentionally kitchy and quaint, with just enough self-aware irony to make it clear they are in on the joke. There is ample parking. It's often quite busy--you can get on the waiting list online, but your whole party must be present to be seated. Don't let that deter you; it's well worth the wait. One quick note on location--J & M is tucked behind another building; don't give up!

Hands down the best breakfast I ever had! A fun, innovative, upscale brunch. The sweet potato hash is a must try! Will definately be back soon. P.S. Well worth the wait, and make sure you join the waitlist.

This is how a restaurant should be. You walk in and immediately feel welcome. Everyone is friendly and happy to be there. Service is top notch. The food? Better than my grandma's (sorry, granny, I love you!) I live 2 hours from here and it is worth the drive. It is worth the drive! GO!!!!

This place was lovely!!! Staff was very attentive, the decor is bright and fun, lots of choices, and more than reasonable prices for what you get. Another thing that really stood out was that they allow you to take your drinks home in to go cups!

UPDATE: Finally back again after the COVID break! So nice that it’s still as delicious as ever, service was still top notch and a great family environment! Be sure and visit as frequently as possible!! Such wonderful and delicious food! Nice potion sizes, even the kids pancake fills the plate! Large bottomless cup of coffee and super friendly and efficient wait staff! You’ll always feel like part of the family! All the food is cooked from scratch and is super tasty! My favorite is the loaded fries with ranch on the side! The Hubs likes the “D” combo with the corned beef hash - also homemade! On yelp you can get in line before you’re there-a great way to shorten the wait! No matter how long the wait, it’s worth it!

By far the BEST diner I have had the pleasure of dining at. The atmosphere was amazing, the staff and service was wonderful and the food was delicious!! Juliana ❤️ (the J in the J & M ☺️) was wonderfully friendly and pleasurable to converse with! We will definitely return!

I’m a breakfast freak. Just went here and had the best breakfast I’ve ever had in my life, the best hash ever, in the cleanest restaurant, with phenomenal service. It’s not the cheapest but I’ll be back soon and often as you definitely get what you pay for. All businesses should function like this place. I wish they’d open one in South Boston. 5 stars PLUS in every aspect. I’ll make the drive for this place any time.

Pros: •Amazing food (amazing hot chocolate) •Great service •Great atmosphere •They're always trying to improve on their recipes (to me, their weakest link was their homemade fries, which is now one of their best food). Cons: •There might be a long wait and they don't do reservation.

We had a wonderful time. I recommend you join the wait-list online. We got the eggs Benedict with the side salad, USA waffle, and corned beef omelette. They were all delicious, and the stuffing for the omelette was a standout. We will definitely be back.

We travel a lot and frequent a lot of diners. This place is the best. We were seated quickly and were greeted right away. All the employees were happy and friendly and you could tell they enjoyed being there. The menu was great and the specials unique. The food came out quickly and was delicious. My wife couldn’t finish her omelette and insisted we stop and buy ice for the 5 hour trip back to upstate NY. The management definitely knows how to hire, train staff and run a business.

This place is very busy, there was a wait before we were able to sit. I had the chocolate chip pancake and a hot chocolate. Both were very good, decent in price too. Staff was very friendly

Good size portions of breakfast favorites. Variety of specialty Omelettes or you can build your own. There's a small counter with seating or two connected dining rooms. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

Very cute and modern diner. Loved all the art and photos on the wall. Don’t go here for healthy food. It’s a sugar persons heaven. Food was fresh and delicious! Great portions, totally filling! Service was great. Prices were decent. Plenty of Booth seating. Would be great to bring kids.

This was my first time here but won't be my last. As busy as it was we got seated within 5 minutes. The service was extremely fast. Within 10 minutes the food was out. The wait staff was bustling around but always checking in. My only regret is that I have not been to J&M Diner before now. The pulled pork omelet was something I have never thought of but I enjoyed it thoroughly.

This place is worth the wait to dine-in. I ordered the classic Benedict, Ooey gooey French toast and fresh seasonal fruit. Unfortunately I didn’t take many pictures because I couldn’t resist diving in. Excellent quality breakfast in MA.

Baby Benedict was delicious and perfect portion for me. First time here and waited 55 mins, so next time will do the waitlist online. Didn’t know it was a thing.

First time at J&M and I was greeted with the best service and the friendly faces as soon as I walked in. I sat at the counter and got a great view of the place with the walls showcasing fun art, retro decor and beautiful family photos of the owners and their kids. I got the eggs benedict and they were delicious. Absolutely great atmosphere and a fun time. Now I need to bring all my friends here! Keep it up guys

Excellent breakfast and lunch restaurant. A hidden gem! Lots of brunch options. Four of us chose to make our own omelettes. Staff is very friendly and service-oriented. Fun, comfortable restaurant.

I love this place so much!! The food is amazing and the service is top notch. It’s about 30 mins each way for me but well worth the trip. Definitely definitely check in on Yelp (sorry google) before you go or else you’ll be waiting about 90 minutes for a table. Can’t wait to go back!!

The staff is nicest, as well as the taste of food. But, food is so little and pricy. Can you imagine they charge $10 for their special made beverage? The restaurant is small and overcrowded during breakfast and lunch time. You can feel hot and get sweaty while eating. Not a good experience at all!

$70 for breakfast? Breakfast is supposed to be super cheap. The atmosphere is really cool, good food, Easter special coffee float good idea poor execution. Overall over priced. Great place for kids.

The food was good and once seated, the service was fine. My only complaint is their policy of only seating people when the entire group is there. Instead of adhering to that policy as if it was carved into a stone tablet, it would be better if they made exceptions for very large groups. We had 11 people and they wouldn't seat us even though we had 10 people present.
