The location and rooms are fantastic but two major things made our stay here much less enjoyable and we were here for a special anniversary. 1) my wife and I have particular dietary restrictions, so I decided to call ahead to ensure there would be options. In reality, the staff were extremely unhelpful and unwilling to help us find something gluten-free and vegan for my wife. When you, as a hotel, agree with a guest they will be able to cater for them you cannot simply fall short after making an agreement. This is extremely poor. My wife ate a plate of fries for her anniversary dinner. 2) after travelling in from Berlin we requested a laundry service to which the hotel kindly accepted. We were told 2-3 hours so we based our plans around this. 11-hours later our clothes were still damp and we had to sprint to catch the last funicular down to our anniversary dinner. The older gentleman we dealt with had a particularly horrible attitude towards the situation. If you think this acceptable for guest experience then you are not a proper 4-star hotel.

Is there a perfect Hotel? This gets very close... Awesome location, great staff, clean rooms, comfy beds, great food and drinks. At checkin they went out of their way explaining how to get to Heidelberg, made restaurant reservations for us. Parking can be a pain especially on a busy day, but tons of free parking available around the hotel. Looking forward to a longer stay next time.

I’ve stayed at the hotel with my husband and it was a lovely stay! The room and the bathroom were new, spacious, extremely comfortable, quiet and clean. The bathroom has a closed shower stall, which is sometimes hard to find in Europe. The bed and pillows are quite comfortable with high quality bed linen. The amenities fragrance’s are so refreshing. We will definitely stay there again when visiting the area. Also the hotel decor is very elegant and the view from the balcony and breakfast room are amazing! We loved it!

This review is based on lunch only. I ate a Gnocchi dish that was over cooked and there was sand in chanterelles. My friend ate chicken breast and compared those to McDonald's menu item.

We booked the entire hotel for a week for a large event. The staff and hotel were very accommodating to help us out and make the stay as pleasant as possible for us. Including good breakfast and a nearby restaurant. The only minor downside is that the hotel is a bit hard to reach from the city center unless you have a car. But on the plus side, you're in a very nice and quiet area on top of a mountain with an excellent view of Heidelberg.

Had food at the hotel overlooking Schloss Heidelberg. What a amazing view. The service was OUTSTANDING and the staff was awesome. Everything is clean and well kept and even the bathroom area feels elevated. The staff spoke perfect English and was very helpful. The bretzel with everything was fantastic, the cheese, gerkin, meats were all tasty. The pork belly was great and so was the potato salad. Really enjoyed everything here

Top 3 best hotels I have been in Germany. Best rooms by far, everything polished and great TV with Smart Tv to watch Jack Sparrow (rainy day). Best restaurant, first time I almost cant finish my meal (ordered a King Schnitzel). Ofcourse top quality. Insane views

Really poor food and very rude and unfriendly staff, plus, very high prices to wash it all down like a good boy/girl! I guess the only reason it survives is the beautiful location and the fact that there is nothing else here. Would recommend to fans of masochism and disappointment.

Awesome and cosy place to have lunch with friends and family. Especially in autumn and winter. I just love the view from the window and the workers are really really nice and caring.

Amaising view ! Rooms are very confortable with place. Restaurant with limited choice but very good. Open at 7PM to 9PM I recommand Schnitzel . Hotel Parking is not free but you have a lot of Parking slot outside.

The place is awesome, it enjoys one of the best views I have seen in town. The restaurant has pretty basic German food but again the location pays off especially at sunset

Wonderful unassuming hotel at the top of the hill overlooking the city of Heidelberg. Easy paid parking. Dog friendly. Nice bar and nice restaurant on site.

Absolutely incredible location and value. The views are amazing and so is everything else. Make sure to plan for ~an hr to get into town on the buses.

A beautiful hotel do stay there. We had an unfortunate experience which reflects poorly on an establishment of this caliber. A miss understanding possibly do to language came close to physical because the restaurant manager was loud and belligerent which was totally uncalled for in a place like this. It was terribly embarrassing and ruined the evening for everyone in the restaurant

Great food, we had the large bezel (pretzel), the original and the vegetarian. Both very generous proportions. The staff were great, very helpful. It’s well worth the trip up to the top for the views and a relaxing meal in the sunshine here.

My experience is based on the restaurant. Had a lunch outside overlooking the town below. Ambience is lovely, great view. Menu is typical German food at reasonable prices. Portions are big. You will not be left hungry. Card payments accepted. My only quirk was my espresso. I ordered but they forgot to bring it. I ended up waiting over 10 min. That bit I didn't like.

The hotel's location is fantastic overlooking Heidelberg and right next to the funicular allowing us to get into Old Town Heidelberg very easily and in a quite memorable way. The hotel itself was very clean, quiet and has a nice comfortable ambience. We will definitely return. One downside was that our room had not been cleaned two days of our stays. However, Antonia from the front desk staff went out of her way to make things right one evening. Great job!

Königstuhl (king stul). Where king used seat to take look on entire Heidelberg. Loved this place. Here can you go by taxi, by walk or you can take funicular train which started in 80’s. This place is most Recommend.

+ amazing location and very modern clean rooms with a fantastic view (top place to stay in Heidelberg if visiting) + outside restaurant was very good, fresh food & cake menu with reasonable prices +- staff were not always so friendly +- breakfast is not included and for 17,50 Euro per person very basic and not up to 4 star hotel standards (e.g. rolls were not fresh, limited choice of cereals, only German water coffee although a proper espresso machine is available at the bar)

We visited this place on Sunday. During the lunch time it was relatively empty. The interior is nice, how ever the service was not as good as expected, maybe we were unlucky due to the time. Prices are higher than average what is fair due to location.

Nice hotel away from the crowds. Great breakfast and friendly breakfast staff. Got a room with a view, beautiful even in winter.

Very friendly and welcoming hosts. The interior was new and very clean. The room was good and the beds comfy. The dinner menu was small but the food was tasty. Breakfast was good but basic.

The view from up there is astonishing. We didn’t stay at the hotel but only stopped for a warm refuge for a little while because the wind outside was wild. The hot chocolate was really good but the food, all to the presentation was super nice, the taste however was nothing out of the ordinary, also I choose something that was supposed to be a small bite was too big, I couldn’t eat the whole lot.
