Cozy restaurant with tasty traditional Ethiopian food. We had a mixed Demera platter and Ye Doro Wet (Alicha) with injera (it was an all gluten free choice). The food is eaten by hand and can be served seperately or as a shared platter. We choose the latter. The food is freshly prepared. Our server was a very kind and happy woman who left no questions or requests unanswered. The coffee was excellent as well, I absolutely recommend to try some! Also, the prices were very fair and the hygienic facilities were clean. We are looking forward to our next visit there!

Excellent african food and drinks, courteous service, friendly waiters. If you need help with the food, do not hesitate to ask, the waiter was speaking both German and English. Besides that, the menus are bilingual as well (in German and English). They have few Ethiopian drinks (I liked the Tej), but also normal beers, wines and spirits. Try to get a bigger table, as the food is served in authentic(?) big platters. The restaurant has few tables outside as well as inside - I recommend the outside seating, as the street is relatively quiet, and the surroundings are very green.

One of the best Ethiopian food restaurants I've tried by far. Service is friendly, they speak German and English. For people who are having Ethiopian for the first time, I recommend the Demera Platter which is an assortment of dishes both vegetarian and meat, and if you're feeling real hungry or something else caught your eye, you can simply add another dish to that assortment. Most if not all of their food is eaten by hand so get ready to get messy. Don't worry they have a bathroom and you have the option to ask for cutlery, although half of the experience is eating with your hands. Also, I know it sounds weird but I highly recommend their Ethiopian Banana flavoured Beer. Somehow the mixture was terrific.

Decor was awesome. Food was fantastic, quite tasty, not too spicy and not greasy. Perfect.! You eat with your hands. Ordered a Pinotage red wine which was a great addition to the meal. It was quite a cultural experience. Recommended. Two ppl with nice tip 70 euro.

I am normally not a big fan for African food but the meal i ordered here was very tasty. Nice flavoring and nice bread. The portion looked small but i was very full and satisfied afterwards.

This was my second time here. On Thursdays they serve an all you can eat buffet and the food is very good. Service is not amazing. Although they are all very nice, they are slow to get the drinks order or bring the check. Maybe this only happens because it's a buffet, not sure. Prices are fair as well. I recommend it, as long as you don't care about having to wait to get a drink.

This was the best restaurant in a long time. For real fair prices we had a fantastic meal. The restaurant owner was very friendly and the Ethiopian food was just fantastic. Next time in Frankfurt we will definitely go here again.

This was our first time here but we loved this place! Food was on point. Have been to many Ethiopian restos around different cities and this was right up there with some of the best Ethiopian food I have had. Restaurant had a good vibe and the Afrobeats in the background was just an added bonus. We were greeted with a smile and left very satisfied. If you are in the neighborhood stop in and even if you are not make the trip. Order the Platte, clean your hand, and enjoy!

Although not exactly the sort of food I would go for, the atmosphere and service were excellent and there was no doubting the quality of the food - I just have a less refined palette.

Amazing place. I come here by myself, with my girlfriend, or sometimes with family. Everybody loves it, no matter if they had african food before or not. The service is great, especially the owner is very welcoming. Make sure to bring some time if you want to dine-in, because the dishes are prepared with great quality and dedication, which might take a while. One of my favorite places, current #1!

Demera is one of the best Ethiopian restaurants in Germany. You can feel the little Ethiopia in this place. The traditional coffee ceremony is amazing and the price is reasonable.
