Diesmal eine sehr gut besuchte Ausstellung. Zu Recht! Absolut sehenswert, gut kuratiert.

Interesting exhibition but the price quality ratio is quite disappointing. For the same price you can stay in the Städel museum for 4-5 hours, but this Schirn Kunsthalle has only one floor of exhibitions. Before you realise, you are already at the exit in less than an hour. I don’t think this small amount of content is worth the 12€. However, it is still worth visiting if you have a museum pass.

Great exhibition on Marc Chagall. Reservations sold out online but you can still get tickets on the day by queuing early at the museum.

(Translated by Google) The "We never sleep" exhibition on the subject of espionage consisted primarily of various unrelated film posters. A brochure was sent out with background information. This was poorly prepared and not very informative. Overall very disappointing. The exhibition had no message.

Great exhibitions in the middle of the city, easily accessible by public transport. Instead of an audio guide, take your smartphone with headphones with you and scan the app over the exhibition. The Kunsthalle allows a great presentation of the artists' works in thematic blocks.

Awesome building design with a glass roof. Rich collection of 1900s art in Germany. Worth visiting while you will def visit Romerplazt when you are in Frankfurt.

Very nice gallery space just next to the Römer. I saw an exhibition on Hip Hop art and culture that was excellent. Nice facilities, helpful staff.

Just been there today for their Marc Chagall exhibition. It is well organized but today was too crowded. We bought ticket at 12 pm and had to waited for 1 hour to get in, understandable. But once we got in it was too packed I mostly saw people’s back. LOL. Ticket is 14€. Audio guide is available only in German. Staffs are friendly thou.

This is a museum for modern and contemporary art It is well organized. The exhibits are very limited. You can be out in 1 hour. Only visit there if you are a big fan of modern art or if you have a museum pass.

Very expensive for such a small exhibition (12€ for an exhibition of around a dozen artists. The layout was also a bit confusing- the blurb about the artists was not always at the beginning. The curation was mostly good- the paintings were interesting.

A really impressive piece of contemporary architecture in the heart of Frankfurt’s old town. I loved the lil piece of art right outside, and it’s on my list to visit the inside as soon as possible!

The Schirn Is certainly one of the major exhibition halls we have in the city. It usually has two art exhibitions running parallel to each other. More recently we were able to share Niki de Saint Phalle's work, which is rarely shown worldwide, discovering her painful youth, yet undaunted creative spirit. Just before that, we had an extensive show of Marc Chagall's works on loan from major museums and rarely seen paintings on loan from multiple private collections - a privilege one seldom had in previous decades. A couple of years ago, we were blessed with an insight to Jean-Michel Basquiat's short-lived street art, whose spontaneous works paved the beginnings of the many graffiti we can discover when exploring small and major cities - everywhere. Keep a watch out for upcoming exhibitions because their programmes for adults, but also children - are surely worthy of visiting.

One of the best museums in Frankfurt. It is situated on a really good location in the Innenstadt's Römer square. It always has interesting exhibitions, kudos to the curators. And the best part for us, there is a playground inside, the Minischirn, where you can leave the kids for a maximum od 90 minutes while youpu enjoy the exibitions. The tickiet for the Minischirn is included in the price for the exibition, just ask for it - you don't pay anything extra. There is also a very good restaurant by the entrance, with very good coffee. Yes, it is OK to sit just for coffee :)

As far as I know, they do not have a perminent exhibition. Last week, I visited 2 exhibitions; one about female artists including Frida Kahlo, one is by Richard Jackson. Both were really amazing. I recommend you to buy your ticket online because there was a very long line in front of the cashier. Also, you can buy a combined ticket to save some money.

Was not a fan of the Niki de Saint Phalle exhibit. This type of modern art, was not of my liking. Tickets were expensive and ONLY had access to this exhibition but not to the rest of the museum, unless of course you payed more. It was a completely underwhelming and expensive experience.

(Translated by Google) The Schirn itself is fantastic. Here I am only evaluating the online presence that I just had to go through with my smartphone. This is the most user-unfriendly site I've come across in the past few months. Catastrophic! The fly doesn't make it any better either. The picture jumps back and forth, the text is microscopically squeezed onto the left side of the screen, the display jumps back and forth on its own all the time without you doing anything, so that you don't even get to read the offers. Have your developers heard of responsive programming? I give you the award for the worst website I've seen in the last few months. Do you still do not know that today more than 60% of Internet use is via smartphones or iPhones?

NO GO! Schade!

Always worth the trip to see an exhibition. Went for Kara Walker and Niki de StPhalle and was happy with booth. Convenient location in city centre for a coffee or drinks after. Either come by train or park at Römet Parkhaus is best.

Definitely it’s the worst museum I ever been. Rude people working. You pay 12€ for something you can see in less than 1 hour (and it’s bad btw). And there’s more bad stuff… however I can’t fully describe how bad was my experience. Giving one star because it’s not possible to give 0. Never again!!! Don’t recommend!!! Hipster material.

I visited Schirn for a Marc Chagall exhibition. The guided tour with all the background knowledge and historical facts to Chagall’s artwork was amazing and while saddening in many cases, still enlightening and wonderful. A great venue for art and definitely one of the many excellent cultural highlights in Frankfurt.

It’s cool that it’s open so late on weekdays - theres not much to do in frankfurt so this was at least something! They dont have a permanent collection, just exhibitions, and they’re all modern art / student art. Okay if you have nothing else to do and like that sort of thing! I saw kind of a funky exhibition of niki de saint phalle - it was quite well done and they did have some writing in english (audioguide just in german).

My visit was quite disappointing. Good exhibition but no conditions to enjoy it. Schirn let's much too many people in so it is literally hard to move. If your space is too small- and it is - it is only fair to restrict the amount of visitors. 14 Euros that were pretty much wasted.

(Translated by Google) I think this location is "just ok". I had great expectations when I was at the Schirn Kunsthalle for the first time and unfortunately it could not live up to expectations. I find the idea of changing exhibitions interesting, but I don't always find the implementation successful. In the "Fantastic Women" exhibition, I found it was too crowded. It offered a lot, but it was just too crowded and confusing. I think the rooms here are too small for my taste (or it seemed super small to me).

Loved the idea behind this particular gallery based on unorthodox musical instruments. But I give 4 not 5 because it should be more clear to the public that to really enjoy the soul of the musical instruments mixed into your living space you had to be there for certain times of the day on certain times of the week. I saw a guitar made completely from parts of guns... Very cool

I can't say I was too impressed with the current exhibitions about the wild and about Africa. Aesthetically, everything was nicely presented. Content wise, i'm not sure I follow the curatorial decisions. The space of each exhibition was large, entrance was 7,00€ pro exhibition, so 14,00€, which I found to be a bit too much for this specific combo, especially as I didn't see the artistic value of the Africa exhibition, beyond the context of colonialism, and I didn't feel like the perspective was critical, as I believe it should be
