An absolute must, for anybody. It was such a great experience, unlike anything. You truly get to experience being totally blind while trying to navigate different areas in normal life. All of the people working are so kind and accommodating. But the biggest shout-out to our wonderfully delightful guide Petty. She made this great experience remarkable. Thank you

I booked an English tour via email, and they replied with a time very quickly. The museum itself was clean and organized, and the guides were very friendly. The no-light had plenty of sounds and textures to explore, and an hour was perfect.

One of the best museum experiences I've ever had! You get to experience how it is to be blind and navigate in nature, busy street a market etc. Great guide that helps you the whole time. We booked an English speaking tour.

Great experience. Tour guide (Benjamin) was very helpful and patient guiding us through various pitch dark rooms. Trying to navigate through different environments with just a cane, your hearing and touch is challenging. It's a safe controlled environment but really opens your mind to the challenges the visually impaired face everyday that others take for granted. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Frankfurt. Just remember to book in advance as tours are scheduled on a set timetable.

Went to this musuem. Its all about what the world is to a blind person. The entire exhibition is lead by actual blind people and I listen to their stories it was quite nice. You will go through multiple day to day things as a blind person. The entrance is located underground. It's cheap 16 euros for adults. Also they do English tours but since no other English speakers were there they did a solo tour just for me. But this should not be the norm. So its better to bring more people.

Very cool concept. You walk through a pitch black museum for an hour, guided by voice instructions and your very own blind stick. Navigate simulated crosswalk, stairs, gravel paths, etc. Ends with a bar where you order drinks. Ever paid for stuff when you can't see your money?! Really eye opening - pun intended. But seriously, very good.

Fantastic experience! Recommend everyone who comes to Germany. Just keep in mind if you want to enter the room with English guide you need to book in advance. Most of the tours are in German.

Wow! We made a last minute decision to come here. Please book in advance if you require an English speaking guide. At first they couldn’t fit us in but we managed a last minute booking and it was amazing. Our guide had a very soothing and calm voice that really elevated the experience. I was quite anxious to start off with but soon calmed down after a little while. Not an experience to miss! Please remember to bring cash with you as you will need €1 for the locker and some cash for the bar

Wasn’t open despite trying to visit during the listed opening hours and weekdays— wasn’t even on a holiday. I was really looking forward to it because I myself have a visual impairment, and I’m disappointed that there was no clear signage to indicate whether it was in operation.

This was an excellent experience, with an upbeat and informative guide seamlessly leading the seven of us, in two languages. We tried out a variety of environments that posed unexpected challenges and offered unexpected pleasures too. The 90 minutes passed so quickly, it was astonishing. What is especially strange is that some of what I experienced in total darkness has been written over with visual memories, as though I had seen things that I know I only took in through other senses. Very cool!

What an amazing experience! Highly recommend to visit. After the tour, you will definitely see the world from a different angle, what is definitely the message of the museum. Tipp: it is better to take care of the visit in advance to avoid waiting as there are quite a lot of visitors. + Very attentive and pleasant guides who also conduct tours in English. + Interactive area in the lobby. + Also the design of the museum is super cool (logos, typography, colors, and space design).

Really worth a visit, the museum is very well done and gives a much better understanding of what challenges a blind person faces in everyday situations. The guide was great and super patient. Some people on our tour gave up in the first minutes and this totally makes sense as the darkness can be overwhelming for some. We stayed until the end and very happy with this unique experience!

It's a life changing experience especially after going through the museum for an hour guided by a visually impaired\challenged Guide. I would never understand but can only imagine what they (visually challenged) experience everyday of their lives; at the bar, market, traffic, trains and even at home. It's overwhelming, challenging, inspiring and transforming experience.

Unique and extraordinary experience. We visited an English tour in advance because we visited with a team of different nationalities. We felt very safe with our guide Sezen. The whole team was friendly and the service was excellent. Highly recommended!

I visited this museum and it was unlike any other museum I've ever been to. Very unique, hands on experience and gives you a true appreciation of how challenging navigating everyday situations can be with blindness or vision loss

Great choice to get a different perspective on life. Came here for the second time after more than 9 years and got deeply touched by the kindness and openness of the guides in this very special setup.

Visiting this museum was one of the best decisions we made. I was certainly nervous about what to expect and was definitely well out of my comfort zone. Having said that, the tour led by the very caring and engaging Edvin was mind blowing. I felt all my other senses switch on fully to compensate for the loss of sight. Go with your kids and family. This is a worthwhile experience for the whole family!

Very unique experience. Guided tours lead by blind people, answering curious questions and showing other how they live in everyday situations. Needs prior reservation for a tour.

The museum was an amazing experience- really a must-do in Frankfurt. We will be taking future visitors here. I wish our group had been a little more serious- some of the girls we were with were laughing and yelling when they bumped into things which felt insensitive. However our tour guide was excellent and the museum was extremely well thought out. We did the 90 minute tour. The receptionist was truly one of the most unpleasant people I have come across in my life. Our first attempt at visiting was unsuccessful due to a system outage- we couldn’t book a tour and she said to come in and see, then when we showed up she was irritated, rude, and said we couldn’t get on a tour. We went again today and nicely asked why we were charged extra (we thought we booked the 60 min tour) and she was very frustrated and said she could only see what was in the computer. This was fine but she raised her voice and was just generally really rude in responding to a reasonable request. After such a great experience with the rest of the staff I can’t help but wonder how she has kept that position. Nothing but glowing feedback for the visually impaired guides.

Must do. The best museum by far in Frankfurt for us. Unique experience, we can absolutely recommend it. Our guide was super nice but I’d recommend it anyways. I’ve never done anything similar before and I’m very glad that we went. I can better, a little, what it is to be blind. No other museum taught me something similar.

Truly interesting and humbling experience. The museum and the folks working there do a fantastic job in making you feel welcome as well as educating visitors. Our guide Benjamin was excellent in providing us tips and tricks. This definitely gives you a different perspective on how to navigate every day life. Highly recommend it.

I loved the experience! I especially liked that the blinding is not done with folds, but with complete darkness. Being more or less helpless for 90 minutes with a blind person as a guide was well worth the price. Book a slot beforehand, though. The only minus I'd give this place is that it was quite crowded and cramped during the tour. We were an 8-people group, and I suppose that's about the average size there.

An extraordinary exercise of empathy. I have an incredible admiration for this place and the immersive experience it provides. Also incredibly grateful to our guide who managed to convey the experience of being a blind person and have us re-discover the world from his perspective. I am also thankful for the chance of getting my first lesson in the Braille language.

My class and I visited this museum today. It was by far one of the best experiences I made. The tour guide (Jasmina) was very empathetic, kind and patient. At the beginning one feels very scared and intimitaed but after some time one feels much more comfortable in this area. The tour takes about 60 mins and one has to experience a lot of different areas (5). Afterwards one has the possibility to talk to the guide, ask questions, experience a room with music and bass. The price is around 14€ but I would suggest everyone to experience this once in a lifetime.

Nice experience, but it is too short. The start is the best part. The 5 minutes you have to sit in the dark and listen to music is a waste of time. Also you can talk with the guide for about 10 minutes in the end, this was interesting but i would have rather discovered more. Also 16 euro for one hour is quite expensive.

Honestly one of my favorite museum/interactive experiences ever. The darkness can be jarring at first, but the tour guide was amazing. Experiencing everything without sight is something I'd recommend to anyone, so they can put themselves in other people's shoes. 100% worth the money and the (vary short) wait times.

Great impression of how blind people experience live their lives. Very patient and considerate guide. Lobby staff could be a bit more friendly.

This is an absolute must do in my mind if you are visiting Frankfurt. It was really well set up and was so insightful to experience life with no vision. It was also amazing to talk with our guide about his views and personal experiences. You are in the dark for a while so if you are bringing kids, just make sure they will be comfortable with that.

Very cool museum. You get to experience the world as visually impaired do. You have to book a tour in advance ( options between a short 60 minute or a long 90 minute tour) and then are guided through different everyday situations by a visually impaired guide. Super interesting experience.
