We had a beginners course with Mark to learn how to set up and handle a portafilter machine. Mark embellished the course with a lot of additional information about coffee and had competent and convincing answers to all questions. It responded very well to the questions and wishes of the participants. A clear recommendation for coffee lovers or those who want to become one! Thank you!

Just on the way back from the Barista Intensive Course. Far exceeded our expectations. In the very entertaining 7 hours, Mark imparted a lot of knowledge in a very friendly way. Once again shows clearly that YouTube videos cannot replace a FacetoFace workshop and that it is worth investing in the quality of products and machines here, as in all areas. They are very motivated to do everything, thank you very much for a great day.

(Translated by Google) The basic course taught me to appreciate well-crafted coffee better and to distinguish between different types. Thanks to the instructions of the charismatic and didactically good course instructor, I now understand how to froth fine-pored milk. And with a little practice, I'm sure I'll be able to do it at home too. I can only recommend the basic course for anyone interested in coffee. ✨

The Bonn Coffee School is an outstanding choice to begin or expand your coffee skills if you desire to obtain greater SCA depth or just wow the home crowd. Mark has an excellent balance of theory and practice with a chill atmosphere. The goal of what is learned is: "coffee must taste good". The class sizes are correct allowing a very personal approach. Enough time is given to learn, repeat, learn more and repeat until each person feels comfortable with the material at hand. I highly recommend this school for hobbyists and professionals alike looking to go to the next level. Mark is SCA certified and active in the coffee German scene. I have taken the Brewing, Barista and Sensory courses. Kudos to the Bonner Kaffeeschule.

I had the barista week with SCA certification at the Bonn Coffee School. Mark is a great trainer and very personable and patient and made the whole week of the course exciting and instructive. I have already booked the next course with him and can recommend the Bonn Coffee School in every respect. Update: In the meantime, I also completed the brewing and sensory courses at the Bonn coffee school and, thanks to Mark's good preparation, I successfully passed the intermediate level. My first impression from the barista course was confirmed across all courses. Mark is a great teacher and mentor with incredible coffee knowledge that he imparts very interestingly and patiently. The courses are difficult, but incredibly fun and I'm looking forward to taking the Barista Professional course soon. Kind regards from Ludwigsburg Andreea

I gave my friend the Barista Basic course for his birthday because we have had a portafilter machine for a few months and I can only recommend this course! Our expectations were totally exceeded, we not only gained theoretical insights into the history of coffee and were able to train our senses of taste in the direction of sour and bitter, but we were also able to carry out many practical exercises on the machines. It was also really interesting to try different beans next to each other as an espresso or cappuccino and to taste how different coffee can actually be. Mark was a highly competent and incredibly nice seminar leader and was able to answer all of our questions. Afterwards, we immediately bought a new coffee grinder and were able to immediately implement the knowledge we had learned at home: We now know how to set our grinder correctly and both of us have never been able to prepare such good espresso and cappuccino at home! I can really recommend the course, especially as a gift, and I can imagine booking another course with Mark! Thank you very much Mark!

Slightly nerdy "Homebarista" takes part in the 5-day SCA Barista Introduction, Foundation and Intermediate training course. Experience? It was just great! I can give every coffee lover the advice to invest their money in their education before buying large and expensive coffee equipment. The basics that were taught to me are invaluable for my future perspective. In the course, Mark taught me the essential basics that will help me to get more out of my machine park and every single coffee bean in the future. Daily tastings were also incorporated into the training, which once again provided a new perspective on the world of coffee. True to the motto: Why does coffee actually have to be freshly ground? What is the difference between an Arabica, a Robusta and who actually makes these specialty coffees? So many questions, and Mark never tired of conveying them all with great didactics. With his calm manner and the great mix of theory and practice, the day was always very entertaining, funny and enriching. Coffee is an incredibly big journey that started for me. As a home barista, I was also able to find out what job my counterpart does in a café. It's definitely a challenge to serve me as a guest in a friendly manner and at the same time make good coffee...so 1. thank you to all the professional baristas for your hard work and 2. watch what you're doing...I now know what it's all about arrives. ;-)

I recently enjoyed the Barista Intermediate training week with SCA certification and am really impressed with Mark as a friendly trainer who has a lot of background knowledge about coffee, roasting and sensory technology. The week went by quickly because it was a lot of fun, although there was also a little stress from exams. But everything went well with Mark's preparation for the practical and theoretical exam! Thanks again to Mark for the great and very interesting training week!
