😠 Historic district???? Yeah, there were some old buildings but nothing here worth seeing. Hit one of the beaches and don’t even waste your time in this dead and dirty town. Pleasant vibe of old Caribbean European town. Colorful arched walkways with storefronts and cafes, but sadly affected by pandemic closures. In January 2022, not much open on a Saturday. However, this allowed a more intimate connection with the tourists and locals who were out and about. I met baby walkers, first time scuba noobs, cafe owners who were chatty, a fashion photography group with 10 assistants and one model, lots of chickens with chicks, sailors putting in on dinghies from offshore yachts, and a very nice ice cream waitress who advised a blueberry smoothie was what I needed. How could I not see how lucky I am to be in St Croix on a clear day?

Fredriksted was amazing! We were given a personal tour by a local friend we made on the airplane. We happened to be there during the Women's Coalition race. They made it quite the party! Moko Jumbies, kids playing steel drums, followed by a fantastic sunset. There's lots of shopping and restaurants to choose from. It was such a fun place to visit. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. I loved it there!!!

Beautiful, cool shops, rainbow beach is close, and you have no oil refinery nastiness in sight, unlike many other parts of the island, however,... They didn't let us jump off the pier.

The best part about the “historic district” is walking the waterfront. Other then that, turn around and book an excursion or find a beach that has nice sand and not dead coral.

Very charming old town. Some nice beaches and great food at Fred, and Sand Castle Cottages. Some hidden gems, such as sea glass beach. This a nice place to photograph a beautiful sunset

Ice cream with the grandkids, took in a little art and watched a cruise ship leave port.

This little spot is so rich in culture. The architecture, the pier, the families..we were there when there were no ships in port so it felt like a real island not touristy. There are plenty of places to stay and eat good food! on the island though and they are so welcoming it’s a great destination in the Caribbean.

This is one of those places you just have to see to believe. I have never been to st. Croix before but I highly recommend a visit. The food here is delicious and the Islanders are so friendly and kind. You won't see too many people here on their gadgets which is a big relief believe me. You'll see kids running around playing with each other you'll see parents interacting with their kids or parents just hanging out talking to each other. This really is a great break from the natural American reality. There is so much history love Comfort religion and peace on this island.
