This Hilton is literally right down the street from everything including LL Bean, Polo, Orvis...Shopping and dining. The hotel does have a nice pool and the lobby was nicely decorated for Christmas. I passed by the business center which looked pretty good. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. I thought the pillows were excellent. The temperature was hard to control. The doors inside (especially to the bathroom) was banged up. There was only a shower in the bathroom (no a problem only a comment). The water pressure was horrible. Not a really good water temperature either. The shower floor was dirty and thankfully I rinsed it before stepping in. The house service started vacuuming the halls at 7 pm - 8pm. The furniture and lighting were good in the room. I like the wing type chair they had in the room. They hit every door as they went by. I had a good sleep except for a noisy mini fridge. In the morning the breakfast was not available. Had to go off grounds to get breakfast. I was extremely disappointed with my stay. Certainly poorly worded sign...Hopefully these problems can be solved.

I have spent the summer traveling and, whenever possible, stay at a Hilton-brand property. Due to this, I don't normally write reviews - unless they are notably great - because brands are about consistency. You hope you know what to expect. This hotel in Freeport, though, prompted me to share some thoughts. The people who work there truly care about what they are doing. At every point, we met people who were friendly, considerate, and genuine. This was the highlight. Our room was spotless. It was worth a few extra dollars to get a suite for a two-night stay. Finally, the location is great. It is just a short walk away from LL Bean and all the other shopping and restaurants. It was exactly what we wanted. Check it out if you want a comfortable stay where you will feel welcomed as a guest.

Charming little hotel in a charming little town. Room was big and comfortable with full modern bathroom, tea/coffee facility. Breakfast was of an excellent quality with proper utensils, linen and table service by excellent team of staff (Sylvia and Amber are fabulous!). Close to shops and cafes/restaurants. LL Bean and outlet shops for Ralph Laurent, J.Crew and many more are within walking distance. The only down side is we had to leave after 2 night to continue on with our journey. Highly recommended 👍👍

Stayed for a weekend and had no complaints at all. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the service was extremely accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel was nice but I was disappointed to hear that Hilton made the decision to expand the fitness room at the expense of the hot tub. We were there for a relaxing weekend and missed being able to soak after a long day. Rooms are still great, train tracks behind didn't bother me much, but might if you wanted to sleep in.

Very pleased with this hotel! The location was great and it was close to several things to do. We visited the outlet mall and use this as a stop on our journey from Boston to Acadia National Park.

When trying to book a room, I was forced to talk to a woman in eastern Europe who has absolutely no knowledge of the property. I asked if my vehicle pulling a trailer would fit in the parking lot and she said she would put it in the notes! Then when I said I needed to talk with my family about the room, she tried to pressure me to commit and book the room right away, because of "limited availability". In a snowstorm. The hotels are almost empty. You actually can't talk to the real front desk person over the phone. Absurd to the point of comedy.

Most of the staff is great, but a staff member David made the experience quite poor. His attitude was very poor and unwelcoming. I’ve stayed at multiple Hilton Garden Inns and because of that staff member I won’t be revisiting this one, unfortunate for a great hotel generally speaking. Hopefully this gets fixed!

The hotel is great. The staff was fantastic. Great job keeping everything clean and neat! The wait staff was terrific during breakfast. I did not use the restaurant for dinner. Great location. Only disappointment was the breakfast buffet. The first day, the buffet did not have any sausage or bacon. The eggs were lacking. The second day was much better! There was bacon and sausage long with pancakes, eggs, potatoes (a little undercooked). Great location! I would stay there again!

This is the second time I have visited this hotel. The first time was several years ago and since then they've gone through a major renovation of the entryway and some of the facilities. It's very attractive and well set up to serve their guests. They also have excellent banquet and facilities if you're looking for a major event.

Clean rooms, a very accommodating staff, and a perfect location. Close to town, but private. The best part was breakfast. I had the best spinach omelet I have ever had in my life!

Friendly and accommodating front desk staff, very clean rooms/ main areas, the food in the restaurant is delicious and the servers are friendly and attentive. Overall a great place to stay short or long term!

I cannot speak for the rooms, I’m sure the location is fine. My rating is based on the “customer service” or lack there of from Lisa. After waiting on hold I just spoke with them on the phone regarding reservations made by persons currently in the hospital and her service on the phone was absolutely deplorable. She coldly stated she couldn’t help me with my father in laws reservation due to “HIPPA”(I think she’s using the wrong privacy terms but I understand what she’s getting at, however this shouldn’t be thrown around willy nilly. She offered no suggestions on how she could help me and it was clear she was in a hurry to get me off the phone.

Beautiful Hotel in Freeport, ME! Very clean, friendly staff, large parking area. There’s a restaurant and bar on site as well as an indoor pool and fitness center. The town’s village is very walkable from the hotel, especially the LLBean “village” with many shops and restaurants within. We had a wonderful experience staying here and exploring the village.

It was a nice place to stop for a night. The front desk people are very friendly and accommodating. They do have dog friendly rooms. It was a busy location during the beginning of August when we went.

I had to share how pleased our family was with the quality of customer service at the Freeport Hilton. We arrived shortly after 3pm and our room wasn’t quite ready. Hazel at the front desk, kindly arranged for us to be in another room and gave us a free breakfast voucher. She made sure we got extra pillows and blankets. She was incredibly kind. The toilet unfortunately was not functioning properly in our room. The best handy man, Tom, competently resolved those problems quickly. Which apparently was snaking out a bar of soap that the previous customer had flushed down the toilet. Lisa was an incredibly friendly and kind front desk worker that we interacted with the next morning. Shay was our hostess at breakfast, also incredibly friendly and attentive to our family. Our waitress was Kourtney, and she made sure we had everything we needed. She was so gentle and sweet. Thank you for making our sons birthday getaway such a wonderful experience. We appreciate the top notch customer service.

One of the BEST hotel experiences in 2023! We are digital nomads and have been traveling for the last year throughout the US staying in only Hilton Hotels or unique resorts. The Hilton Garden Inn Freeport, Maine was fantastic! Freeport is the friendliest town to visit and shop! Customer Service - Top-of-Line staff throughout the hotel! Everyone was beyond professional, friendly, and helpful! Rooms - clean and efficient! Great view! Clean and kitted w/ all necessary amenities (plenty of towels, coffee accouterments, etc.)! Food - the onsite restaurant had a daily changing menu - w/ vegetarian options! The gym and pool were amazing! Such a great experience! Already planning our next stay! Also - the Downeaster train that runs right behind the hotel is not bothersome. We enjoyed hearing the train go by and sound it's horn as it neared the Amtrak station!

Arrived early and checked in without any problems. Staff was very accommodating and the room was relatively clean and decent. I know and understand arriving early housekeeping at times can rush, but we were happy to have our room early so we did not complain. However, housekeeping did a terrible job of cleaning the bathroom. The showerhead at a ton of grime on it, hairs in the sink, & bathtub. Plus the shower curtain was filthy, it looked like someone wiped their dirty hands on it. Additionally the TV remote was broken and had a piece of string holding on the back cover. Staff did come down and swap the remote which was nice of them. Also no complimentarily continental breakfast at this location. I read other reviews after the fact and while others have pointed out the hotel seems to only say they are competitive in the area. Hilton should not be competitive but better than the rest. Overall the room was average, the staff was off-putting at times, but other staff members made up for it. The best part of the hotel is certainly the location. Only a short walk from the restaurants, outlets, and Amtrak station. I would certainly stay here again but also would pack and bring my own breakfast.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The suite was very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast and evening restaurant were very good. The barman was very attentive and professional and the menu, while not extensive was excellent and presented very well. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to others as the location is tremendous and the service felt very personal. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Price was reasonable, staff was friendly, and the location is great with just a short walk to downtown. However, this is the second occasion in a row where the housekeeping fell short. Shower floor was definitely not clean and there was buildup (mold?) in the corners, furniture wasn’t vacuumed around, and there were crumbs in the front of the vanity. We’ll be staying elsewhere on our next trip.

Great service, friendly staff! Very clean rooms. I would definitely recommend staying here. Not far from down town and it has a very big parking lot. The fire pit on the patio was to die for!

The staff at the Hilton Garden were all so friendly and helpful. The front desk crew was especially helpful when I had to print a document and then have it scanned/sent back to me; and also in getting a taxi when my rental car wouldn't start on the day of my departure. The room was comfortable and the staff was responsive when I needed more k-cups for the Keurig. Great location for easy access to LL Bean and the shops in Freeport.

First of all, Lisa at the front desk was wonderful! She greeted us with a welcoming smile not only for us, but our dogs, too. That first meeting set the tone for our expectations. We were not disappointed. The room was perfect. The breakfast grand...including the service. Thank you.

Recently stayed in a one bedroom suite with my mother and small children. The room was great and clean. My kids absolutely loved the pool. We had prepaid for breakfast when we booked and it had a great selection. The staff were all very nice and accommodating (when we needed extra towels and they were delivered very quickly). Great location to the shops.
