Great gardens. Perfect for long walks even in summer. Plenty of shadows and options to sit and rest. Ticket for entering the castle is extra.

Beautiful gardens. Everything is well kept and absolutely spotless. Many different flowers, greenhouses, areas with animals (flamingos etc), children’s area and cafes.

It was a site to see. My family and I enjoyed all of it. From the fairy tale section, the gardens, and pumpkin festival were beautiful to see. I absolutely recommend this for families and as a good date night trip as well.

Amazingly beautiful! Especially in the spring then everything is in blossom! The new orangerie exhibition was on (still on until mid May), and if you haven't yet definitely consider visiting! It's magnificent 🥰🥰

What can we imagine of pumpkins and how many variety? Maximum of couple of types of pumpkins and some curry or soup or haloween decoration items prepared of pumpkin. At Ludwigsburg palace during Kurbisfest (generally from 1st week of August till 1st week of December), one can find hundreds of varities of pumpkins, of different colors and shape and size. Moreover, during this fest, there are many statues prepared of pumpkins, many idols being carved out of a single pumpkin. There are many stalls to try out different recipes prepared out pumpkin or to buy the raw one. Pumpkin Ice (cream) was the surprise element for me. There were stalls for carving out shapes from pumpkin too. The palace also has big garden with variety of flowers and birds to see. It also has a tower to see around the palace. I felt the entry fee 10€ per person a bit on higher side. Tickets could be bought online as well as at the entrance of the palace. Otherwise it is all together a different experience.

We went to the gardens for the pumpkin festival and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed looking at the pumpkin sculptures and sampling all of the delicious pumpkin cuisine. The gardens are so large that all though there were many people there, it did not feel crowded. It was a fun day out with the family.

The gardens are very well maintained. I wish they had more spots for people to sit and relax though. If it’s a sunny day, it might not be as fun to visit because there is no shade. It might be too hot to just walk around and not have a place to sit.

Always nice to come for a walk. Especially in Winter the door from Schloßstraße side is just open and you can walk around freely in the place in front of the castle.

A very large area around the castle. You have to pay to see the larger part. For the children there is also a fairy land park and a small bird avarie. It has constantly changing exhibitions while I was there, they had sandcastles, and we're getting ready for their pumpkin spectacular. And a Lilly pad exhibition. Check schedules for the different exhibitions.

Really nice and exciting activity for all age groups (went during the pumpkin festival). The grounds are expansive and very well maintained. If bringing kids along, packing lunch/ snacks is a great idea as the eateries are quite far and can get very busy.

Magnificent palace. Highly recommend a tour. The church and theater are absolutely beautiful. Although beautiful, you'll find yourself wondering why anyone would want to live in a stark home.

One of the primary attraction in Ludwigsburg are it's gardens. The Schloss Garden, the Favorite Park are some examples. While the Schloss garden is an impeccable manicured garden with a great layouts, water fountains etc...the Favourite Park is just the opposite...it has been intentionally kept wild and natural. The Favorite park is host to some deer a d some mountain goats...all this adds to the charm.

Very nice gardens to look round but I would not say it just a garden is worth the €10 entry fee and they only accept German credit cards! Entrance to the garden and Palace is €20 which again is not worth the money! Probably would have been a lot better going a week before when the pumpkins were on show 🎃

We do a "yearly visit" to this place during Pumpkin Festival. Seems like it offers more than only Pumpkin. You can easily spend a whole day exploring this area. Within the same access, you can also visit a small zoo and Märchengarten where your small children can have some fun

The gardens in the Blühendes Barock are well taken care of and very nice to look at when the weather is good!

This is a must see place! It is everything you would imagine a European Garden would be and more. It is stunning. Visit during the Fall for the Pumpkin Festival. You won't regret it!

This was a nice area we went to for the pumpkin patch on a Sunday. It was busier than I would like esp with all the pandemic going on. The area was clean with a nice park across the street. Parking was not bad but we also arrived early. Lots of pumpkin things to do with kids but we were disappointed due to not everything pumpkin was available, pumpkin fries and pumpkin bier Good food though and don’t get me wrong we had a blast and it was good for the family.

All these gardens in the center of Ludwigsburg are not worth to be paid for…just usual gardens with nothing spectacular. In the hot days it’s a disaster- no shadow, just somewhere behind the palace there are some trees…obviously, you can see the view just in front of the entrance with no paying anything. 5 min and you are done. Would give 5 stars unless it’s free.
