It was really a great experience. Nice south Indian and Sri Lankan food. I would definitely recommend for people who would like to try Indian food other than just curry curry... You should definitely try iddiappam (rice strings steam cooked along with brinjol side dish)..

Awesome food!!! We spontaneously decided to try out this restaurant and it was totally worth it. The food is delicious and very homestyle. As an Indian in Germany, I'm always looking for good Indian and South Asian food and this place nailed it. The beans and potato dish and the daal were especially good.Highly recommend!!

Very good south Indian Sri Lankan food especially Dosa and sambar and chutney my favourite and cheap at 4.50e. Other dishes too and can have masala disa with potatoes filling and this costs 8.50e. Nice atmosphere

Only place as per my knowledge to have south Indian food in freiburg. Good quantity for the price. Try masala dosa and mango lassi. Only drawback is the curry and chutneys are not standard and always change as a surprise. Taste is good and can give u feeling of the south india with south indian music in background.

Worst south indian food we tried till yet. In the place of "sambar" thick yellow lentils were served, pathetic in taste. Dosa was unhygienic and had a hair in it. Coconut chutney was mixed with green chili which is too spicy for anyone to eat. The person serving had a very cold vibe.

It's closest you can get to Indian food that Indians actually eat at home. Their dosa is great. Their curry dish is really big and authentic. If you want to eat non-Germanized Indian/Sri Lankan food, then this is the place. It is not very spicy but has all the flavours of sour, sweet of an authentic Indian kitchen. I'm sad that it took me 3 years in Freiburg to discover this place. Staff is friendly. (It's a family run business). Their interior is not very modern and beautiful. But if you only care about the taste of your food, then it's the best place.

A very authentic dosa/thosai. We ordered the chicken dosa and masala dosa, mango lassies, chai masala, chicken 65 and others. We ate at their restaurant with our two year old. It was delicious, just like what we had back home. The staff are so friendly. And everything was clean. When we ate there, there were so many take out orders, other people must love this place too! Highly recommended for an authentic taste.

Sadly, the food it great or I wouldn’t subject myself to the service. Very often there is just one man in there who takes your order, cooks the food, and serves it. So everything takes way too long. Some customers don’t get served and just walk out after a long wait. I called ahead for takeaway one time and was told to come in 20 minutes. When we arrived the chef arrived 10 minutes after use and received the order for the first time. So we waited 30 minutes to get the food. Another time we came to collect our food and the one man was serving and cooking for 17 waiting customers with empty tables. We waited 45 minutes until our food came out.

This place is run by a Sri Lankan Tamilian family. They are friendly and offer good service. I frequent this place to have my weekly dose of the famous South Indian delicacy called ‘Dosa’. Totally recommend their plain, masala, or chicken dosa. Tried another dish called ‘kothu porotta’ as well. It was, however, just average.

South indian dishes were nice. Highly recommending Masala dosa and dosa. Idly was okayish. Dahi vada could have been lil more soft. Decent south indian dishes for reasonable price.

Great authentic Sri Lankan Food. Try the chicken roll (pan roll) - it was fantastic. The papadam crackers go great with the biryani.
