Housed in the rooms of the Starzelbachschule, this small museum impressively shows the peppermint past of Eichenau, which was once the center of peppermint cultivation. In addition to many exhibits, you will also find tools and interesting illustrations. Run by an association, the museum opens its doors on Sunday afternoon and if you are lucky, you can taste and buy the peppermint tea, which is still grown in small quantities in the museum today. You are also warmly invited to a conversation.

Super nice, very small museum. Free and based on donations. Free welcome peppermint tea. Guided tours are also available free of charge for groups upon request and are highly recommended

Small, fine, informative museum in the basement of the Starzelbachschule. Open on Sundays from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Free entry. Here you can buy (in my opinion) the best loose peppermint tea. Always from the end of September/beginning of October. We were there today (October 1st, 2023) and got tea (€5 per pack, max. 2 packs). I'm looking forward to the great tea 😍

Fantastic collection of displays about the groth and harvest of peppermint. The local variety was really unique and the farmers were careful not to dilute the strain. Large scale farming has been discontinued but there is a small plot being operated by a few enthusiasts, so you can buy some freshly minted mint. Observe the opening hours

Nice place to learn about history of peppermint in Germany...Mr.Heilmann is too good he explains everything crystal clear..plus u can enjoy the peppermint tea on arrival for free... Couldn't buy nothing memento as the shop is empty...u can spend maximum 10-15mins here...u can cover everything within that time.

Interesting, also for residents. Delicious tea from oak cultivation. Unfortunately they always sell out quite quickly.

Our neighbor gave me dried peppermint a week ago and said I definitely had to try it. She was outstanding. So on Sunday I took a trip to Eichenau and visited the Peppermint Museum: a small museum, but one that was set up with a lot of love and good information. You can sample freshly brewed peppermint tea, chat comfortably with the club members present and of course purchase a small supply of peppermint for your own use (highly recommended).

The pfefferminzmuseum was awesome. We only speak English and the folks who were there were very kind and welcoming despite the language barrier! Fresh, free tea was offered when we walked in and we were able to buy more bags for after we left. Delicious, wonderful, I recommend. Also, since the museum is only open Sunday, and buses don't run on sunday, work the 20 minute walk from the train station into your plans.

Very nice, albeit small, exhibition about peppermint cultivation, which played an important role in Eichenau in earlier decades

(Translated by Google) Very refreshing. is the only one here anyway. I could learn why I always have to have Airwaves in my shorts. (Original) Sehr erfrischend. ist immerhin das einzige überhaupt hier. Ich konnte lernen wieso ich immer Airwaves in meinen kurzen Hose haben muss.

(Translated by Google) A nice little museum. Peppermint was unfortunately already gone, luckily I still have some at home (Original) Ein schönes kleines Museum. Pfefferminze war leider schon aus, zum Glück habe ich noch etwas daheim

(Translated by Google) Not huge but definitely worth a visit. And not least because of the tea 😁 (Original) Nicht riesig aber auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Und das nicht zuletzt des Tee‘s wegen 😁
