Great to enjoy a nice day of summer with a BBQ (It’s allowed there). Enough space for everyone. Just make sure you have enough food and drinks with you. There are no supermarkets etc near by.

Best place to grill and picnic in Munich, also skinny-dipping and sunbathing naked allowed on the north side.

Superb place for a picnic. Unfortunately an opinion shared by half of Bavaria 😊. Eastern island is a nude area so expect retirees in that state.

Perfect place for a barbecue, sun bathing or a just a short cool down in the Isar. Highly recommended if ever spend time in Munich during the summer months

A perfect place to lay in the sun at the Isar river, and taking a dip when you need to cool off. It is in the BBQ zone.

Perfect spot for sunbathing and/or BBQ! Update: It's hard to breathe during hot days in July/August due to the massive amount of BBQs going on. Still a must for the summer.

Arriving at Flaucher Inseln, I was immediately captivated by the lush greenery that surrounds the area. The highlight of Flaucher Inseln is undoubtedly the river itself. Families and friends gather along the sandy riverbanks, engaging in picnics, sunbathing, and enjoying quality time together. As I strolled through the park, I couldn't help but notice the vibrant sense of community. The Inseln has an undeniable allure for outdoor enthusiasts and sports aficionados. Cyclists, joggers, and skaters make use of the well-maintained paths, providing an energetic and active ambiance to the park.
