WOULD GIVE 0 STARS!!!! I joined Fitstar in Munich over two years ago. In the beginning I had only great experiences. The studios were always clean, the staff was really nice and always prepared to help out. I started experiencing issues when I had to move out of Germany, to continue my studies in France. According to the Fitstar guidelines, the contract is allowed to be broken if your new living address is situated over 30km away from the nearest Fitstar. I happened to have moved several hundreds of kilometers away from the nearest Fitstar. Fitstar however, refused to let me break my contract, (although I had sent proof of my move, along with my official university registration documents), instead sending my details to a collection agency, which continued to send letters to my previous address in Munich. As I had already moved, I was unable to know that these letters were being sent. I found out about them, only when I returned to Germany for the summer. Ultimately I had to pay a very large sum to both the collection agency, as well as Fitstar, as neither were willing to negotiate. Despite my horrible experience, I decided to join Fitstar once again in the Summer of 2019, as I was preparing to move to Berlin for a year, as part of my Erasmus program at my French university. A few months later, I injured my knees, which disabled me from any physical fitness. I brought my doctor’s note to my nearest Fitstar in Berlin, with the intention of ending my contract, as I was no longer able to work out, due to my injury. Fitstar refused to let me break my contract, instead insisting on giving me a three month voucher, wich they said I was only able to use after the end of my contract. I tried to negotiate with them for many days, but to no avail. Ultimately, I ended up going to the gym a few times in the course of 6 months, to do some light weight lifting for my arms, as my knee was still heavily injured, but I was still paying my full membership. I have been paying for a membership that I rarely use. This company is worse than pirates. Not only are the never willing to negotiate, regardless of their company policy, they will try to extract every penny from you. Do yourself a favour, DO NOT JOIN FITSTAR!!! There are tons of other gyms available!! Fitstar is definitely not worth the time or the effort.

Such a nice gym! Would never come back, though. I originally subscribed for only 2 months but it was a bloodbath to try to cancel my subscription. The staff at the reception tells you one thing, then their administrative staff says something completely different by email. I actually had to file a complaint with the European Consumer Agency in my country. Waiting for a reply 😍

This is the first gym I joined, and would highly recommend. Lot of equipments, fun activities like Zumba, Bodypump. Best part of joining here for me was introductory session. No more clueless about gym workouts now. Big thanks to Lucas, he explains you so very well and easily walks you through all sets. Speaks English and friendly! No more scared to go to gym!😊

Totally no sense rule!!! I forgot my entrance card in two years only once but they didn’t help me to entry the gym. They wanted me to pay extra money to get new card for only day. They are more scammers than a fitness studio. Even 1 star is more.

Pros: - Affordable Subscription: The gym offers a very budget-friendly subscription, making it a great choice for those looking for value. - Spacious Facilities: Fit Star boasts spacious facilities equipped with a variety of tools. This allows for a good range of exercises and routines. - Staff Interaction: Although my interactions with the staff were limited, they always appeared available and kind. Tips for New Members: - Peak Hours: To get the most out of your workout without the wait, I recommend visiting outside peak hours. Cons: - Initial Fee: Be aware that there's a medieval fee to start the subscription. When I joined in 2019, it was possible to take over someone else's subscription, but this option is no longer available. - Subscription Pause Policy: My experience in late winter 2023 was a bit disappointing. I requested to pause my subscription due to health reasons. Despite providing a doctor's statement, I was informed that the gym only compensates for training absences of at least 3 months. Final Thoughts: I stopped my subscription in November 2023 after nearly five years. Overall, Fit Star is a solid choice for those who prioritize cost and facility space, but be mindful of their policies regarding subscription pauses.

In July, I requested a cancellation of my membership via email because I moved to a city where Fit-Star has no gym. I provided the necessary documents as proof. They never replied to my email. In August, I contacted them again via their website support form. I still have not got a reply. The didn't not charge me for 2 months so I thought they took care of it and that their communication was just bad. Today, I am a 120EUR charge in my account. I am planning to call them to find out why they charged me - not easy as they don't have phone number on the website. The gyms themselves were good. The support when it comes to cancelling your subscription is awful. They will keep ignoring you. That is an awful service and people should know.

Spacious, good quality of equipments and hygiene. Its situated very close to S bahn station, so reaching with public transport is also easy. You will find disinfection spray everywhere in the gym - which is very thoughtful. Members should be considerate. In the machine itself you can see those reps counting number which I liked it very much !! I usually visit late nights due to my work. I have to appreciate the night care taker. He is super friendly, humble and always active. Please convey my compliments to him. Things which I felt missing - locks for the lockers should be provided by the gym. And there is no handwashing area in the men’s locker room area. Otherwise , go for it :)

If you can avoid the rush hours, it's a really good gym. Otherwise, it's too crowded and sweaty. Of course, it's low cost so don't expect anything fancy, but that's exactly what I looked for. Usually very clean and everything is functioning. Staff are nice. Music during morning hours is very good IMO.

This gym is always busy. With all that there is too much equipment that is useless and not enough of what actually is being used. U cant do some supersets because theres 2 floors of this gym and the equipment is devided really badly. Gym is always dirty. Locker rooms are cleanish but overall gym is not. Weights are all over the place and staff doesnt care about that and people aswell. Would not recomment this gym!

I have been billed of 350euros even after i was told my membership is cancelled.During pandemic and lockdown situation its unfair. Fitstar customer service have sent the email and then asking for written contract ending. I really need help!! Fitstar Please reach out to me and solve this issue.

Good gym in terms of space , variety of machines exercises can be done, nice coffee machines, juice and protein shake bar but..... Due to low price, always full of people, specially evenings specially the cardio machines are all occupied. So difficult to find a free locker as always full, this is the most annoying part. Also you're not allowed to leave stuff in your locker overnight meaning always availability crunch. Has open shower together in the bathroom area , no cabinets or partition in between which is a bit uncomfortable. If you are okay with these challenges considering the good points, then go for it or look for a better one and pay a bit more.

I mean, it's ok. Nothing to fancy, but for the price I wouldn't expect more. I just find it annoying that they clean the coffee machine at 7 (ish) in the morning when I am really looking forward for my morning coffee. Either before or after training. The cleaning takes like 20 minutes.

The gym was overcrowded and stinky. Second thing, contract only, so you cannot buy one-time entrance, you need to pay on monthly or yearly basis consecutively. After visiting gym for a single time and forgetting to cancel membership on time I received a check on 70 euros, there were a lot of cancelation fees (about 15 Euros). They also lie about 20 Euros per month. Also, they will take photos of you. Disappointing experience.

They don’t honor their contracts and will steal your money, threatening with a debt collections agency.

Body combat sessions experience at Fitstar laim. It is extremely phenomenal . I did get to evaluate my stamina for the session. Supported me understand where i stand when it comes to stamina and how much i need to improve futher. A fabulous training concept, but at the same time fun with good motivating music. I am not good at numbers, but at a scale of 1 to 10, i can give ONLY 11 to the body combat session. Would like to end with one line ----Get your shoes on and let's combatttt again.....in the next session.Regards, NVN

The gym is nice and modern. You may find all kinds of equipment. There are group courses. They improve the quality of the gym constantly. The price is very low. However, keep in mind that wrong type of people may also visit this gym - my old sneakers were stolen (no idea who would need them). Luckily I prevented the theft of my phone - noticed it literally in the thief’s pocket.

Cheap prices for a reason. Gym is totally full from 5pm and you can wait and wait just to use a machine. Only 2 women's bathrooms where the floor and hand basins are always wet and the rubbish bin overflowing. The change rooms are always packed. Nowhere to even get water except the bathroom unless you want to pay for it. Nowhere to stretch at all as the fitness studio is locked when there are no classes. Fine for a cheap bargain gym as long as you don't want to go at peak time.

Very good gym, good equipment and clean, infrastructure is nice, people very friendly!

Good, clean gym with good and clean equipment. Although the area is quite large, it's mostly clamped with too many machines. Free weights section is too small with just 2 adjustable benches. If you are looking for some serious training this gym is not what you are looking for.

Pilates class Monday and Wednesday has a brilliant teacher,; great at what she does. Equipment very up to date.

I like this gym but more equipments for the calf are missing :(

I love this FitStar. It's not too big and not too small. Yoga teachers are great.

21.08.23 - UPDATE : THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I CAME ACROSS IN GERMANY, PERIOD. They make me repeat my situation to different people again and again, and after all my time they took, they just said "we apologize for the inconvenience." Good place, nice equipment, terrible customer service. I was misinformed TWICE in a year about promotions they offer, and they didn't take any responsibilty apart from only giving a dry apology. They apologized, but no refunds, no nothing.
