The best spot in Fremantle. There are so many different kinds of foods and accessories. Lots of interesting shops great to hang out here on weekends! And it is only open on weekends. Friday Saturday and Sunday. I like here. This market is very gorgeous.

Lots of great food, fresh fruit and vegetables, cheese, spices, dried fruit and nuts, clothing, cosmetics and soaps, accessories, arts and crafts, odds-and-ends, toys and memorabilia stalls and a good variety of ice-cream, coffee, tea eateries including a Crepes outlet. The market has a great atmosphere and is definitely worth a visit.

Fremantle Markets happen to be my absolute favourite weekend spot in Perth. We usually take the train there as it's so easily accessible and the train journey is absolutely scenic. The markets have a wide variety of shops including fresh fruit juice, fresh fruits and vegetables, handmade jewelleries, handmade soaps, honey and much more. You can expect to find the kind of things that would not be usually ohms in other shops in the city. The vibe of the place is just completely different and just so lively. There is often live music by local artists and frequented by tourists. Wonderful place to spend a nice morning in Perth.

Went on a Saturday and it's school holidays. It's been very busy, but I enjoyed it. I expected a little more local art and not products from Nepal and India. The food stalls were plenty to choose from and was in luck with the chai latte. Very festive feel to it. Some nice fashion and jewellery piece to buy.

Must visit when in Perth! This market consists of many different unique stalls and food stalls and vegetable/fruits stalls. Do give the honey cake a try too, although very expensive but it's worth the price for the unique taste. Do note that the market is only open on weekends! There's parking beside the market (expensive) and parking along the nearby streets (less but still expensive).

I haven't been here in years! It hasn't changed much, and the vibes are still there! If your not a fan of crowds, possible chaos, hunting down parking and small spaces, this is NOT the place for you. This place holds lots of little shops, local products, Perth sellers and quirky Fremantle things. I saw some amazing local Honey products, whisky tasting, sweets and waffles. The coffee guy at the front entrance was amazing, the sellers were helping eachother (or no one would eat or have breaks) and overall, it's a nice day out to do something different ✨️🖼🧸🌯🍦☕️

Incredible experience exploring the place. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and there were loads of people exploring the stalls. Everything you can think of can be bought here, ranging from jewellery to fresh fruit 🍓 and vegetables 🍆. Smells of cooked food were captivating and really draws you in. Strangely, prices aren't that cheap compared to market prices back home. Expect to spend in the range of $60 and above for 2 on an assortment of cuisines. More so if you're into souvenirs.

Great place to move around. Incredible, colourful and charming local market place. Visited on a Saturday afternoon. You can buy things from fresh fruits and vegetables to freshly cooked food. Unique arts and crafts from cultures around the world. A must visit place for tourists.

Fremantle a markets is the best part of Freo hands down. A little bit of everything and a lot of culture. Some stalls have been there for as long as I can remember but there’s new stores every now and then, particularly in the food section. Probably the best “food court” as far as variety goes.

Super packed if you don’t come early, but highly recommend going to Viet Kites for their roast pork croissant banh mi & to the fruit stall - Dong Khoa - towards the end of the market (look for Tea! She’s so helpful and knows how to pick the sweetest fruit!!) i also went to the herb stall and bought like 10 bottles of seasonings & a bottle of homemade jam (tastes great as an addition inside my brownie mixes!!) I also highly recommend the salami stall (garlic wine salami is AMAZING)

Historic and interesting but a bit squeezy to get around. There are the usual market fare such as fruit and veg stands and clothing and art and craft stalls and a few food options. The empanadas from the Venezuelan stall were yummy and son enjoyed his hash brown egg brioche burger from eggspot.

Thanks to cherries espresso 🍒 for the new coffee beans. Tried them out this morning and they’re fantastic. Twin Peaks Deli blend. Delish! Nice in a flat white. (Running it through a lever machine). Look forward to a few more hot brews over the coming days.

A great place for tourists and locals alike. The building itself is an attraction. So are the many stores inside this old building that sells everything from fresh fruits/vegetables, cooked food to anything and everything.

A good shopping place of all things big and small. Clothes, coffee, Tea, Flowers, leather goods, fresh and cheap veggies, various food stalls of different parts of the world is here. Mostly crowded and busy inside. It’s good for people wanting to spend some time cruising around and away from the city.

Freemantle market is a beautiful place for those who want to purchase fruits, vegetables and other eatables You will also get delicious cupcakes in this market in a very reasonable price.. All the food items are fresh and absolutely clean.. The only problem of this place is that you have to park your car in the parking space which is a little bit far from this place

A very popular undercover market that is steeped in history. Huge range of fruit & vegetable, clothing & collectible stalls. This market has something for everyone including lots of food options. Toilets were spotlessly clean. Very popular with buskers. Can get extremely busy - recommend to go early.

Awesome market in Perth, a bit pricey but still a great place to visit. Has all kinds of shops from food to clothing to accessories etc. Gets very crowded over the weekends since its not open during weekdays. Can spend pretty much a while day window shopping and trying different delicacies. A must visit when it Perth.

Cool little set of markets, best to visit earlier in the mornings as it gets quite busy late morning and afternoon. Unique food stalls, health foods, burger bars, donut & pancake stalls, smoothie/juice bars and fresh fruit & veg shops. Other side has your regular crafty stalls with a few unique hand crafted & imported goods stands.

The place can be slippery when wet as many people walk in from the wet weather. The ventilation in the market is still so poor after so many years, it gets pretty stuffy when it gets crowded. There are a variety of food to try and eat. Prices are not cheap. The prices for the groceries are more expensive than supermarkets. Paid $6 for a half-liter fresh orange juice, which is considered very expensive. Please beware of pickpockets and take care of your belongings.

Fantastic idea to turn old wharf warehouses into this lovely venue. Well set up with tables along the dock side complimented with an on site brewery, a large selection for various food tastes. A bonus is the view across the Swan River to a working container port and also the comings and goings of pleasure craft.

For every regional place we visit, the marketplace is something we never miss. The desire to look at local produce, art and craft, and culture brought us to Fremantle markets. The place was super crowded. A potpourri of colours from clothing, paintings, jewellery, knick knacks, and fragrances from candles, soaps, and food stalls keeps pulling you in a different direction. But we found the items overpriced and nothing overly special. Lots of clothing are targeted toward young and hip beach goers. Worth a visit to understand local culture and buy some gifts back or a souvenir or two. BEWARE of pickpockets. We spotted we suspicious looking people pretending to shop along but clearly targeting bags of other people.

I wish they have more seating in the food court area. I know it's already a tight fit, but surely they could come up with something. Apart from that, I like all the small shops in there, feels great to support the local businesses.

  • 5/5 Simon M. 3 years ago on Google
Quaint markets in the centre of Freo with a fresh food section, some food stalls and a gifts, crafts, touristy area. Some very interesting stalls selling unusual items so great for a wander around. Parking is all around but can be tricky to find a spot when busy. We'll worth a visit.

  • 4/5 Patrick K. 3 years ago on Google
After not having visited for many years we went twice in two months. We were after a particular brand of tea that we liked a lot. This was the first day of the easing of COVID-19 restrictions in the wake of a five-day lockdown and I think people were glad to get out and about. There have been changes in stallholders over the years but there are still many familiar favourites. We had a nice lunch of ban mi made with roasted belly pork, a variation on the usual ones found elsewhere. Very yummy. The markets are always good for an occasional outing. I used public transport to get there. Disabled access is possible if a little difficult because of the crowds.

It seems they have a bit of most everything. We loved the didgeridoo musician and the pianist. My son was very happy with the coffee from the bean place and I love the lolly shop as they have so many products that I used to have back in Canada and have a hard time finding here.

Lots of stalls in a historic location. A Perth landmark. Be aware the hall is not air conditioned and can get extremely stuffy and hot especially at the choke point right before the food stall area. This area is also unable to be passed during busy times.

Went here for a little side job, all around great atmosphere, unique and entertaining performances from a local circus performer of some sorts? Also talented buskers everywhere. Locals are so genuine and polite. I almost got into a brawl with an aggressive drunk man armed with a beer bottle but apart from that it's perfect!

Family friendly, very helpful staff and friendly. Plenty to do and see, train and team rides, plenty of undercover picnic areas. Loved the car museum, going back again to look at tractor museum, ride on steam train and look at wildlife centre. Was too hot and tired to look at everything, went in 34 degrees day.

Such a stunning park! Manicured lawns, lovely bushland, paths and playgrounds to explore. We took our bikes and rode around, having a lovely day. Picturesque spots for photos on bridges. Many picnic shelters and tables. Clean, well maintained BBQs, well worth the money. You need $1 coins and each dollar gives you 15mins of cooking time. Highly recommend this park for an outing and family/group get togethers ❤️

A fun place with plenty of activities for all ages both static or activity based ones; or you can just relax on the lawns with your family and have a picnic. There are pavilions for hire, train and tram rides, vintage and other cars and tractors, playgrounds. Food is available; various interesting shops are onsite; an abundance of walk and cycle trails and kart with trailer hire. Good conveniences with a room for mother's with babies.

On their web site, it says full refund for returns of any purchase within 30 days with receipt. But they won't let you do return or exchange. Be aware. If you're looking for authentic solid opal, buy it somewhere else. This store misled the customer that they won't tell you they're selling artificial “doublet” or “triplet” opal. More importantly, the lady in the store is very mean and a racist. They treat asians as stupid one-time buyer (traveller). Don't let it change. The attitude is extremely bad. I suggest you go to the Fremantle Opal store outside the market. The goods are clearly marked and the store is friendly. (Original) Aussie Opals Direct. A place where you can still find one-off unique items not available in big centres. We got handmade jigsaws for children, alternate health care, imported lollies, non-franchised food stalls, handicrafts, clothing and vegies. A pleasant day out. Public transport best idea. Even if you drive close to Freo then get bus/train as parking a nightmare. Don't let the multistorey carpark deceive you. It took us 1 hour from getting in the queue to pay parking fee ticket to arguing at the exit gate why we shouldnt have to pay extra to get out because of the traffic gridlock to exit. Spolt our pleasant afternoon at the market.

No seats, I need to seat often a no seats is a big deal for me. Markets in general are not my thing, these were ok, it was wet outside so it was a nice indoor activitie

Fremantle Markets is a historical feature of Fremantle, Western Australia and much loved by locals and tourists for its rich culture of food, drinks, handmade products and fresh produce. A great place to spend an hour or three wandering through the various stalls, eating cuisines from round the world and savoring the cultural diversities. Freo Markets isn't exactly the greatest of places for those with mobility issues as the pathways are uneven, crowded and some stalls are up stairs. An ever changing scene happens inside these markets and the rich aromas always draw the hungry in. The outside is comical for buskers and musicians alike. Freo Markets are the place to be from Thursday to Sunday and Public Holidays. Parking is available nearby in the FOMO Secured Carpark on Henderson Street for $3.80 per hour or there part of.

A very unique market that only opens from Friday to Sunday. The food stores provide very good restaurant standard dishes with market price. Lots of stores from Street food to chocolate, nuts, coffee beans, arts work, children puzzles, clothing ......

It's Been A While Since I've Been Down To Fremantle And It's A Shame To See So Many Shops Closed Down. Due To The Covid Virus. Even The Fremantle Markets Has Changed And Not For The Better. Fremantle Needs A Hawkers Food Market And Keep Fremantle Markets For Local Producers Of Fruit & Vegetables, Arts & Craft And Local Artisans Of Cheese And Small Goods. This Just My Opinion.

We love weekend trips to the market and I'm sure your family will too! Huge variety of stalls selling everything from handmade jewelry and furniture to fresh produce and hot meals. Can get very crowded in warmer months so keep little ones in a pram or a carrier. Bring cash to avoid card surcharge fees at many stalls.

I love coming here with friends. I come for the food especially. So much to choose but I wish they had more seating arrangement. One can never get bored here.

Loved going back again but very packed and parking expensive so unless there is another parking option it's not somewhere I would be going to every week. Also I need disabled parking or space to get out of my car and we ended up parking in a multi level car park. Hubby had the best toasties from one of the stalls that he's ever had and it was nice to get cheese from another stall. There is a huge range of food. You could have something different every week of the year. Also lots of fresh fruit and vegies and fruit cut up which was really cheap.

There is a public piano free for anyone who know how to play piano in this Freo Market. Pianist loves to play their favourite pieces here. For outdoor lovers, there is also a sunshine place under the umbrellas for resting. What a great Freo Market!

The whole place was not crowded even on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, especially the fruit & veges areas seemed to be quite empty.

Everytime we go to fremantle, food hunting is a must. Fluffy Lamb is one of the place must to try, other than that a pancake, ramen is very nice too.

It's changed over the years, but always awesome to spend time look and learn in all the little shops. The new food court is impressive

Very popular amongst locals and tourists alike. A great range of stalls and shops that sell unique souvenirs, light fixtures, leather items, shoes, coffee, condiments, confectionary, bohemian clothes, gin, scented handmade soaps, gift items, accessories, scented candles and what not. There's a bunch of stalls that sell different kinds of cuisine: Mediterranean, Chinese, Indian, Korean etc. Really good place to shop for fresh fruits and vegetables--I personally find that their stuff is superior in quality than what you get in supermarkets. It's also cheaper.

Oldest markets in Perth, WA? Huge variety of stalls. Love all the different wares showing local talents in arts and crafts. Fresh fruit and veg at reasonable prices. Great dining options available. Definately worth a visit. Nice icecreams!

A busy and interesting market! Fremantle Markets is a great place walk around and there were so many stalls selling different food and items. The fruits and vegetables were really fresh and we get to try them before purchase. The market is a good place for tourist who is looking for souvenirs too. Here, you will find gifts and souvenir stalls including handmade products. The market can be very crowded and has a busy atmosphere.

This is a charming market you should definitely visit if you are in fremantle! There were performing singer, and lots of fresh fruits as well as cooked food stores inside. We were snacking on baby pancakes with lots of yummy Nutella coatings! I bought a bag of delicious seedless grapes from the Chinese lady and she was so kind to help me wash them when I told her I would like to eat it immediately. Big and juicy! The walk around this area is fun too. Just right across the road of the market is an old prison, where we had fun playing visiting each other as prisoners. One of the keeper at the gate joked to us that we can't leave the prison, and we joked back that we were released by the judge inside. :p

Awesome markets! Kinda sad that they are not operating all days of the week, but then going to them makes them even more special and exciting! The stalls are great, loads of different food options, and some stalls selling fresh fruit, at a really good price ( got a huge bucket of cut fruit for 5$)! If you got time to go, the Brazilian stall is a must if you like steak, the Greek one right next to it is delicious as well, amd when you’re feeling thirsty go get some strawberry tea at that tea stall in the middle! For dessert, I’d suggest one of the rolls from the Filipino stall!

Good Things Fremantle. Food and coffee was ok although expensive for portion size of what you receive in my view. $24 for Bulgogi Benedict on a slice of bread. Small Cappuccino approx 150mm $4.50. Fir yea a cup of hot water with tea provided. Place was very busy and does have a nice atmosphere. If you have a problem with stairs and want to dine in,don’t go as the only place to eat is on first floor. Did feel very closed in due to layout and size so not favourable for someone who struggles in confined places.See photos. One unisex toilet 800x 1200 approx on ground floor.

No matter when I come here I find this market is overwhelming. There are always huge amounts of people and you can never browse peacefully. If your not a people person this place isn't for you. On a good note there are heaps of stalls. A food market section and usually some outside entertainment to keep you busy. The bus stop is right outside if you don't want to drive. Parking can be a bit of a mission but there is paid parking either right around the corner or a short distance walk away. There are eateries both inside the market and next door there is a pub. Cafes and other food places are right down the street. Highly recommend for the experience. Expect to be bumper to bumper with others in the actual market area.

Netty. Was. Here. I bought a spoil of handy crafts and then had my feed in at the food stalls. A very relaxed and chill way to start any weekend day. Not busy at all early mornings.

Loved strolling around the different stalls and eateries. Fresh fruit and veg, homemade produce, relaxed atmosphere, undercover, friendly folk. It was smaller than I thought, but it had a lot of charm

Great markets! It is super busy, so if you don't like people, this is not for you! Lots of stalls, amazing artwork, great food, something for everyone. Entry is free. The fruit stands were great and super well priced. We purchased wine, fruits, fudge, nuts & a few other local things. Great place to stock up on snacks before heading to the beach for the day
