Very disappointed in the cleanliness of this place. The cabins have great potential, but was very dirty, light fixtures hanging out of the ceiling, no towels, floors were extremely dirty, as were the appliances. Carpet in the loft was stained and full of dog hair. The facility grounds are very trashy and cluttered as well. I'm semi local to this area and would not recommend staying here.

Stayed here for 4 / 5 nights whilst visiting the nearby Grand Tetons. When staying in these sorts of areas [unless paying the big bucks] this is the type of accommodation on offer, we had a hut with 2 double beds and for what we paid it was a steel. Were told no bedding provided but on arrival some had kindly been provided. Only visited the bar area once [balcony area to the rear with stunning views] and the female waitress was very friendly. Some small minor improvements would make a big difference, could have been a little cleaner [hut & communal shower / toilet areas], mattresses could have been a little softer and could have done with a change machine for showers which took quarters but again for what we paid no complaints and would happily stay here again.

When you travel by bike you don't have many options. Your range is limited and in this environment you make do with what you come across. So also in the case of the lava mountain lodge. We were in need of a good meal. Upon entering we did not immediately feel welcome. Would they prefer no one there (we were the only ones). Nevertheless, we took a seat and we were approached in a friendly manner, but it did not feel sincere. We ordered our food and drinks (see below) and filled our empty stomachs. Before we left we visited the toilet. It was really too dirty to visit actually. Smelled and the floor was wet. A real shame. The restaurant looks good inside. But if you zoom in and make contact, it is disappointing. our advice: drive on to Crooked Creek Guest Ranch, everything is better there: the food, the view, the people! well worth the extra miles!

The rooms in the “big house” cabin were very clean & neat, lots of pillows & blankets to use, the water was nice & hot, the views from the windows were amazing in every room.! The staff, Taylor, the cook & a red head woman who was serving at the restaurant were all very kind & helped us enjoy our stay to the fullest.! I understand that sometimes it’s difficult to maintain a facility which is why it did not bother me to drive to Debois to the laundromat since there’s was out of order. Overall we had a wonderful vacation trip & thank you deeply for making us feel at home away from home. Stay safe God bless.!

DISGUSTING. There was just an envelope on the door with keys and directions to the dilapidated trailer they had "upgraded" us to. We were met with a blast of stink when we opened the door- which I initially attributed to the full trash bin in the middle of the room, or the heap of dirty dishes. Looked into the bedroom, already slept in and blankets and towels in a messy heap. I discovered this by flashlight, as the light did not work. Thought I might at least use the bathroom before fleeing, but alas found the source of the reek, the mouse corpse floating in the toilet. There was NO phone number provided for staff, the one on the website had a full vm and no way to reach anyone. Emails with photos of the carnage have not gotten a response. Requests for refund have been met with silence. We fled to the Dubois Super 8, highly recommend. UPDATE- two months later, I still have not been able to reach anyone and no response to my emails or messages. My credit card sided with THEM because they have a no cancellation policy when you book the room (or dilapidated trailer, in this case). BEWARE. STAY AWAY. DANGER LIES HERE.

Had a great breakfast on the way to Jackson today. New cooks doing a few New Orleans style Cajun dishes. Have had the beignets a few times! They do it right. And very generous portions. You won’t leave here feeling hungry!

Food here was good enough, the fries are actually pretty good. Rooms were not very clean and the tap water was very white and murky so I took no chances in using it for any hygienic purposes. Many dead insects in the room.

Amazing staff. They were overly helpful and tried hard to meet the needs of our group of 19. Rooms priced fair. Great location. The only negative is that the food is extremely overpriced compared to others in the area. The convenience of having gas food and lodging all at one place was great.

Fantastic place to stay. It's older compared to some of the other lodges, and it shows. However, the service here is... You can tell the people who work here had a passion for it here and wanted to see it flourish, which is something a lot of places can not claim. There is so much more here than just a place to stay. This is an amazing spot to meet people and hear their stories. The people who come from all over the world will love to tell you about their travels. And the experiences they have had. Sit down, be patient, and someone will be with you.

We were on a road trip from Minnesota and decided to find a cheaper place outside of yellowStone and I'm so happy we stumbled on this place. First off the Staff are amazing I literally felt like I made friends here. As for the food! Marty is a painter/artist and I'll tell you that rolls over into his food. It not only looked great but man was it good I almost wanted to buy another burger to pack it into the cooler because it was that good. I had the Bacon n Blue. The Cabin was fine we got one of the small ones with bunk beds and it did the job. If I was to stay here again which I fully intend to do I'd get a upgraded room for sure the bunk bed thing isn't for me. I definitely recommend this place even if it's just to stop for a quick bite you won't be disappointed. Thanks all for the great service.

The place is a little further than I expected from Grand Teton National Park. I think the place is very short on help, so bathrooms were not the cleanest. Men's soap was empty the 3 nights we were there. The women's bathroom had toothpaste in the sink for 2 days. We stayed in the Grizzly cabins. Bring towels, and my suggestion is a small camping air mattress for those who have back issues. Plus a sleeping bag for those who wish for more than one cover up. The Grizzly cabins are quite a little trek in the dark to the bathrooms. The orange cat is very friendly.

Rooms need updating but were clean. A coffee pot would have been nice. The attached restaurant has a limited menu. We didn't have anyone to get a receipt from when we left. It diffently needs to be cleaned up outside.

While visiting Dubois on our way to the Grand Tetons, I saw the roadside Wednesday special "Prime Rib" and had to stop. This local gem provided amazing customer service along with the most delicious dinner! Make sure to stop by and say hi to Taylor and his wonderful campaign Schnitzel. You won't be disappointed!

We stayed in a cabin so I can't talk about the lodge rooms and how clean they are. But, the cabin was not clean for 80$. The location is great, but you can stay in a cabin between yellow stone and grand teton for 100$ and they are extremely clean. They had a restaurant that served breakfast and it ea a good taste.
