Great hiking place and amazing views of the bay area, dogs are allowed on most trails, not many restrooms here, if u don't want to pay for parking, park on the don Edwards side and just walk in from there free of charge, plus makes ur hike longer, thanks for taking the time to read my short review 😎

Visited the park this weekend .. there was long line to enter the park as the parking ticket had to be taken at the gate from the machine .. the park had multiple hikes to choose from, mixed with both uphill and downhill.. views from the hill tops were really good .. lot of place for kids to play as well .. lush and green. Wish we had come in a lot earlier but then definitely will visit again to explore more.

It's such a lovely place with many different trails. Absolutely loved it. It's very good for low level hiking. It can get really windy at the top of the hills so take warm clothes in the winter months.

Really nice and big park to run, hike, or biking! One of the parking lot next to the road is free parking. There is around half mile to the entrance to pay for the inside two parking lots. One side is the sea view trail, and the other side is the land view trail, quite different feelings. Many options for the trails to hang out, very interesting!

This park really is a family-friendly place. It has flat paved trails along lakes, where plenty of birds, ducks living there. Also, unpaved trails go to the top of hills, where you can overlook the bay area. Hills are covered by green grass and colorful flowers, which are absolutely beautiful. Try to get there before 9am to get a parking spot at the park.

Yes, there are many places with marshes and views of the shoreline from the peninsula to the east bay. But this place has many trails and you have a clear view of the San Mateo Bridge to the west and the Dumbarton Bridge to the east. As the terrain of the hills in the east bay really traps the wind in, I recommend you wear a beanie if you don't want hair in your face and your ears to freeze. Some of the hills are quite steep; you won't be able to see over the hump, much like a roller coaster. This is especially true if you decide to go off the beaten path for a shortcut traversing the hills. There are strategically-placed benches at the higher heights. You can see the ocean and there are some unnatural colors from the algae. There is a wooden plank path through the reeds and there is a large bike path near the water too. Then, there is a beachy area with estuary birds and the meringue foam in the water. Two parking lots from different park entrances

California poppies blooming season. Prepare for long line on the pay station, maybe 15 to 20 minutes wait in line on weekends as it takes 30 to 80 seconds for a car to stop, figure out how to pay and drive away. It would be great if park can implement online prepaying method with licence plate number and simply drive the car thru the gate. Two super bloom spots along bay view trail. One near intersection of bay view and soaproot trails, the other one is the observation deck near Nike trail. Another super bloom spots is on the Vista point of red hill trail which is hilly with several 25 to 30 degree slopes but much much less bikers. The bay view trail is a flat loop paved trail which is popular with bikers too.

There are multiple scenic spots and the view of the bay from here is second to none... You could see both San Mateo bridge, and Dumbarton bridge and the entire shoreline all the way from San Francisco to Mountain View.... Sunsets if clouds allow are a beauty to watch from here. Can do little fun hikes with friends on a weekend or ride the trails on your bicycles... Pretty neat spot for spending some lazy days.

This place is heaven for sunsets lovers, bird lovers, and bike lovers. Go all the way out to the edge of the bay during low tides to see the submarine. Catch a tail wind and ride 30 mph like the pros, Joint the peregrine falcon patiently waiting for a hunt. Only place in Bay Area 🥰😍👍

Great trails for a weekend hiking. Good scenery by the water. You can see turkeys and deers on different parts of the trails. However, it was very busy, even in the morning around 9am. It might be difficult to find parking inside as it gets later in the day.

It was my first time visiting this park and it was a wonderful experience! So peaceful with beautiful views of the marshlands. I LOVED the Visitor's Center, it truly pays tribute to both the past and present Ohlone culture. (I only wish more places had Ohlone representation.) And I even purchased some bug boxes for my Girl Scout Troop! Will definitely be back to walk/bike more trails.

Very Good for hiking beginners and relaxed hikers. Nice trails and easy one. There are trails pretty flat and few have little inclination. It's very easy hike. It's surrounded by back waters and lots of greenery compared to other very dry parks. You can see rabbits, squirrels, 🦌 deers and so many birds. You can have good view of salt ponds. Many people bike, run or just walk on flat trails. Free parking is 1 mile far.

This place has a paved trail. They charge 5$ entrance fee. Remember to get out before 7pm as the park gates close by 7pm. It was beautiful after rain. Everything was green making the place so beautiful. We spotted some birds too. Spring is the best time to visit here!

A nice park showing the panoramic view of the bay close to Dumbarton. Drought has worsen the beauty of it nonetheless so beautiful, peaceful and attracts so many people. Beautiful hikes, trails with trees and rocks. Can see the view of the City and specially the Ardenwood society which is close by. IParking fee is $5. It’s open until 8pm however the parking is until 10 so keep your parking ticket safe if you have a plan to stay longer than 8pm (this is for Sat, please check for rest of the days online)

We were greeted at the visitor center by a large bunch of turkeys in the morning. This has lush green hills at the moment with expansive views of the Bay. There are a huge number of trails you can choose from and most are easy to moderate. It's dog friendly and also has multiple parking lots. It costs 5$ to park but it was free today. There are a few spots to see wildflowers as well though they aren't completely in bloom.

I love this place! It's accessibility, it's natural beauty, it's views of the bay and beyond...great place to ride a bike, great place to take a hike. I didn't mean to sound like Dr. Seuss, please forgive me...but go check out this park, just be respectful of the wildlife and don't leave trash behind! 😁

This is a great park for everybody. There are several trails ranging in difficulty. The park is spacious so I didn’t encounter much of any human traffic during my solo hike. I hiked the Quail and Bayview Loop. It was an easy 3 mile 1 hour hike. It was a scenic and peaceful experience for me. Hopefully, I get to visit this park again.

Great park experience, the rangers were very friendly, helpful and answered all my questions. The visitors center had a lot of educational information, it's basically a small nature museum. The field views are awesome and there are multiple areas to park and relax with nature, will definitely return and recommend, also the parking is not expensive.

My first time here was 2014, still great park to hike. There are short route & long routes, great for bikers, you can see the other side of the bay as well. Try to park outside (meaning do not turn into the intersection entrance) after 11am on weekends. Deep down the entrance there is a ticket machine and the car line gets long after 11-12, gotta wait 20-40mins. Park outside across the street, you do have to walk 20mins to get to the park but that's the same time as waiting in line.

A beautiful regional park, filled with gorgeous vistas. I go here to look out on the water and watch the cars go over the Dumbarton bridge. Great place to hike, relax and go mountain biking.

  • 5/5 Jessica J. 1 year ago on Google
Wow! What a beautiful park with speckles of wildflowers. This place is very dog and stroller friendly. There are paths that are closer to the reserve that does not allow dogs but majority of the paths are great for whatever type of workout you want. There are uphill trails and flat trails throughout. Had such a lovely Saturday morning exploring with my bf and pup! There are a ton of people but it doesn’t feel like a lot since there is such an expansive amount of land. I would definitely just pay for parking unless you’re looking to walk near the marsh.

Very nice and big park to hike, run, or biking. Short trails with different views. One side is sea view trail and the other is land view trail. Good place to hang out with friends. There are two parking lots inside the park.

There are few trails of different complexity for biking and hiking. You can climb the hills or hike around them on a plain ground. Nice bay view. Pros: this park has 2 parkings. Cons: windy and all trails are on the open sun. You need to take a water with you.

  • 5/5 Evgeny S. 3 years ago on Google
Nice park for walking. And it seems pretty cool for biking. There are many trails, some of them are gravel, some of them are covered by asphalt. Very few trails that go up to hills. Nice view to San Francisco Bay and even to the city, but it's very far away ;). There are two parking lots that are big enough. I also saw one overflow parking.

  • 5/5 Ace S. 3 years ago on Google
The park is currently not charging any entrance fee. There are a lot of trails to choose. You can walk or bike through the trails. The only downside to this park is the algal bloom by the lakeside. It smells pretty funny while traversing the trail.

  • 5/5 Kamlesh P. 3 years ago on Google

  • 5/5 Wei-Chuan S. 3 years ago on Google
A tranquil and enjoyable place to visit with family, friends, or by yourself. The web of trails to the rolling hills maybe confusion to first time visitors but no worry they all lead to the hill tops. The $5 entrance fee is waived during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This place is a hidden gem! I have lived near this place for so long but didn't discover this place til today. What a beautiful trail and scenery. Very peaceful. It's a bit secluded but still very safe. There are two parking lots. The first parking lot is free. The second parking lot is a mile down near where the trails start and it's $5 so make sure you have some cash on you. I would love to come back here again and try out a different trail.

Oh coyote hills! How I love meandering through your walking paths around the hills that hug the bay from the eastern side. A personal favorite is walking through the flat trails around the marshlands. I love listening for birds, crickets, and frogs. Many days I will spot deer, squirrels and sometimes the sheep if they are out in the pastures grazing. Coyote hills is a true gem of the East Bay Regional Parks. Visit my YouTube video featuring Coyote Hills at #PowerHouseRealtor. go around dinner time, and perhaps you will catch a spectacular sunset?
