They deserve negative stars. The front desk staff, and the nurses are like mafia. They have no empathy, no sense of responsibility at all, and for most part lack basic courtesy. Just find an independent provider, or go to Stanford medical and save yourself some frustration. I walked in today because my son had stomach pain. The front desk told me that ALL pediatric Urgent care doctors are fully booked, and that I should go to emergency. I insisted that he needs to be seen there because the urgent case is open and no where it's written that urgent case is closed, but A NURSE CAN TRIAGE to make sure that my son is stable. The front desk person called the nurse on phone. The nurse came out and in front of my eyes put out the sign that said Urgent care is closed, then walked away. Now the front desk lady got reinforcement from another person, and said that the triage nurse is having lunch and I can wait till she is back. At this point I lost it -- these two ladies did not say one sentence asking about my son's pain or showed any sense of urgency or and empathy. I left the place without any help from Fremont PAMF... never expected this from a medical facility.

Avoid this place. Waiting in line is long even if we had scheduled appointment. Then we were told to go up to 3rd floor after 20 minutes, and then we were told our appointment was cancelled since we were more than 10 minutes late! The doctor( Mohamed?) or his nurse must have wanted to get out at the end of the day so badly! Such medical conscience and work ethic! Smh

Went online (My Chart) to schedule a same day “walk in” appt. The only option that came up was in Milpitas. I drove there for my appt only to be told they weren’t accepting any appts during the day, due to Covid vaccinations. I was NOT happy. Nobody called me to tell me this. I then scheduled an urgent care appt with Fremont. I’ve waited 2+ hours😡 in their parking lot. This is absolutely unacceptable!! It’s 7:55pm right now and this clinic closes at 8pm. The pharmacy closes in an hour. Still haven’t been seen by a Dr. I’ve never had such a terrible experience with PAMF!!

Unfortunately this review is for the reception in pediatrics. I have been here numerous times and each time the reception experience is very poor. I was the only person here besides my son and this woman was very snappy and unpleasant. I get that it is 8am but it's no reason to be rude. And yes I submitted feedback to Sutter directly. Aside from the terrible reception the doctors and nurses at Sutter are great.

My family been seeing doctors for 7 years with PAMF. This year, they start to charge for preventive annual physical checks by coding the visit as non-preventive. We don't remember that it was like this for the previous years. Their coding technique is pretty arbitrary and can be easily manipulated. Be aware that for your annual exam, don't talk anything about your other minor problems AT ALL. One of my other friend reported the same issue. Full story: I mentioned a minor problem when asked during the annual physical check. No need for any treatment. But I respect the doctor's suggestion and did two extra tests she suggested. The extra tests are billed as normal and I paid. When it comes to the other normally preventive care procedures, they started to charge for the normal blood tests. These blood test items are exactly the same as last year but billed differently. I complained and they corrected it and sent me an apologize letter. However, when they correct the billing, they added an extra non-preventive office visit in addition to the annual check visit. It ends up billing me a even higher amount. I complained again for why I was billed for two visits when I actually only saw the doctor once. They responded by removing the preventive visit and insisted that my visit was non-preventive and did NOT qualify as the prevent annual physical check visit. EDIT: paid anyway, doesn't worth my time. Note that following the "response from the owner" won't get you any response...

Just called to see if someone could help schedule a pcp for my husband. Whoever answers the phone to the main number was rude and irritated. We just wanted to know if his insurance was in network. Even if she didn't know she could have been nice about the situation and said she wasn't sure and to contact new patient registration, but she proceeded to be rude and sound very annoyed. This clinic should consider having someone actually nice answering the phones. This employees negativity is deterring patients from coming to this location. Super disappointed with the unprofessional attitude that was displayed today. It's not a good representation of PAMF. I wish I remembered the name of the employee but whoever is answering the main line on 6/20/23 around 1:50pm is not friendly! Also going through the reviews and it looks like we aren't the only ones with this experience. This clinic should really take into account if multiple people are complaining then there's an obvious problem. We called new patient registration from doing our own research and Sherry who assisted us was beyond nice and actually helpful. We are happy with Sherry's kindness. We rate Sherry 5 stars!

This hospital is awful. The waiting time for appointment is like 20min at least. The doctor is unprofessional. 4 out of 5 questions we ask we will get an answer “I don’t know”. I strongly suggest that you don’t choose this hospital if you have other options. This hospital gives the worst experience

I was coming here for prenatal care and I have never had such horrible and uncomfortable experience! There are no doctors of color here all Asian or white and the lack of representation definitely shows in the care you receive. My OB was Dr. Meng and Midwife was Dr. Lewis, two Asian women who lack bedside manner. Can be judgmental and rude if you question their methods. My main complaints: -lack of individualized care: there’s providers just follow protocol and when you do advocate for individualized care your met with rude attitude. I shouldn’t have argue to get a provider to understand personal things that impact my health or plans for birth. -lab work: I had one A1C test that came back normal, my second glucose test was at 6:45am I was exhausted and never got a good explanation from either OB/Midwife that I shouldn’t be skipping meals beforehand so I ended up fasting for over the recommended period combined with the lack of sleep I’m surprised I didn’t fail all 3/3 however I had 1/3 fail by 7 points. When I asked about external factors that could have affect my results I was met with such a condescending attitude as if it was ridiculous to think so, I also had to argue for a follow up test in 4 weeks. Nothing wrong with having GDM but when you’re barely out of the ratio of normal a Dr should want to get to what’s going on with your life before just diagnosing you without proper investigation. -Other departments like nutrition/dietitian: I was referred to this department for consultation for 1/3 elevated glucose test and was sent information that I read only to have virtual meeting where she just repeated the same information back (maybe they don’t think people read but I do) I sat through as much as could before I had to get back to work only to get a rude call that if I don’t sit through the whole 2hr zoom I can’t go to the 1hr appt. So my options now is to take off work for something that could have easily been a pamphlet, I personally don’t have the luxury to take time off work. -More virtual appts: prenatal classes, birthing classes etc I understand COVID changed things but most of us are back to normal and even if it wasn’t these types of classes aren’t meant to be virtual they should INTERACTIVE where you can be hands on and find real support. - Overall my advice as a woman of color is to find another place for Prental care because this place is not it, and with the risks already associated with black/brown it’s not worth the added risk and stress to deal with providers who don’t truly care about you as a person.

They deserve Negative stars. 1. Preventive exam billed as office visit. 2. Urgent care visit ends up with no conclusion, no next steps. Just let the patient figure out what they can do on their own or simply go to ER. - Front desk reps lack empathy. Witnessed a rep tell an old lady who could barely speak English to call and schedule appointments via some system themselves. - We went to an urgent care. The doctor ordered ultrasound and that couldn't be done until next day. - The next day after ultrasound test results were back the front desk refused to let us speak to doctor stating that we have to check-in ONCE again into urgent care and wait for 2+ hours and also EXPECT a second Urgent care bill. Their reasoning: We can't help you. If you want to talk you have to pay for 2nd visit. Or go home and wait for someone to call and explain the results. It was almost 5pm and no one called. So I called the front desk to request someone to call me back. Finally another doctor calls back and says that the ultrasound findings are incidental. This doctor didn't say what actions to take to avoid the pain or what food to avoid/eat to help. Instead says that she wants the patient to come back to urgent care as she didn't see her in person. With this logic, every time you follow up on something they expect you to keep visiting urgent care! So basically there is no conclusion, we don't know what to make of the results. We don't know the next steps. :( Update: More bad news. The doctor saw the patient only for 10mins but the urgent care billed for 40-54mins. Ridiculous!

New Patient - Bad Experience - Preventive annual check-up ============================================ I usually check Google reviews before going to Doctor's but I forgot to do that this time. Just checked the reviews here after my visit and many people have said the same thing "Overcharging, using non-preventive codes for visits/labs etc". Not surprised. They did overcharge for my preventive annual physical check. All I did was I asked a question for which the Physician said nothing to worry and no diagnostics done. That too, I asked that question because he kept asking me if I have anything else to discuss or any concern. For that one liner question with no diagnostics done, I was surprised to see a copay in my bill. The provider charged extra and I called the billing department, they said I discussed something which is "Non-preventive" thing. What a joke! Am I supposed to stay quiet and say "No" to everything the Doctor asks? Also, during my visit, I was asked to wait in the Lobby for more than 45 mins. My appointment was at 5 but I was called at 5:45 and then in the room, I waited almost 30 mins for the Doctors to come. so the entire visit took me about ~2 hours. I STRONGLY do not recommend this Hospital to anyone who wants to do a Annual physical exam

Just go to a different place for your medical/health needs!!! HORRIBLE in almost every aspect from making appointments to doctor visits to billing. First, front desk staff are rude and dismissive. Never felt like they are here to help you. I’ve had my appointments canceled with last-minute notice to which I’ve already showed up at the clinic and was told I couldn’t see any medical professional that day and that the next available appointment would be 2 WEEKS LATER. I’ve also witnessed them flat out refused to help a a limping woman who speaks minimal English make an appointment. The lady was practically begging for them to help but the staff told she “has to” do it herself online and directed her out. Doctors’ priority here is to make money, they could care less about your health. Minimal effort/service/explanation about your medical situation. I felt tricked into doing more expensive treatments than it is necessary after checking with another doctor outside of this location. Not only that, frequent OVERBILLING; check your bills people and challenge their billing codes! I had to make multiple calls to billing and lost HOURS of time on the phone just to get the correct bill. All in all, I will never be back. Not sure if it’s a single location problem but I’m avoiding sutter health/Palo alto medical foundation altogether. Feeling much better after switching to Kaiser Permanente Fremont across the street.

Intro- Parking is usually terrible. Expect it to take awhile. Been coming here to see an OBGYN since my primary care physician is male, and I prefer a female to check my nethers. The visit with the OBGYN is decent, but the follow up is terrible. One physician gave me a slip to get lab work done, which I had done, and faxed to her office as instructed. After a year of calling the office and asking if the physician received it, I gave up. I switched to a new OBGYN, was told I would receive a referral for a condition, and this visit was preventative, but since I mentioned a condition, I was billed extra for it, and never received a call from their other department. The bill for the extra topic of discussion came, but the call concerning the referral never did. I also have come here to see a dermatologist, and when trying to book an appointment for the treatment she recommended, never got a call back, and could never reach a person in the department via phone during their office hours. If you come here, good luck getting follow up for your visit!

This place is pure waste of time, I mean wait for 4-5 hrs without appointment it makes sense. But waiting for hrs even after having appointments does not makes sense. Also it is ok to wait if the front desk staff is little polite or helpful to clearly communicate with numbers of patients prior to the appointment so we can estimate. I mean not asking for time estimate but just number of patients prior. Instead they are rude, not all some are helpful.

their billing center is not reasonable. if you had overweight or Cholesterol history, event over 2 years, they'll waive your benefit of preventive care and billed as medical diagnosis. update from PAMF/Sutter, NEED to ASK for codes before procedure and Billing Detail. (those won't be provided as default) it is the patient's responsibility to know and understand their benefits prior to receiving services. If you are unsure at the time of service you may hold off on treatment until you are able to verify and confirm with your insurance By providing your insurance with the procedure code (CPT Code) and the Diagnosis Code (ICD-10 Code).

There should be negative review mainly due to front staff mainly. Worst people ever Front staff should be fired as all of them are useless So arrogant and ignorant. No system to define urgency criteria.

I have ear ache and discomfort in jaw. I called my doctor first. The lady who reached was very rigid and was not ready to work with me on appointments. The I went to urgent care. They told me that there would be one and half hour delay. I told them that I would come back later. When I went back at 6:30 PM they told that I could not be treated as they were booked. Clearly they don’t care about patients. They are rude and inflexible.

Terrible and Deceitful Customer Service and Staff 10/29/2019 - charged a hefty bill because it was my "first time visit", and reassured that my insurance is in the network 3/29/22 - called my insurance to find out that it is not in their network, hence the large bill. Called back to try to clear it up, but they reflected blame and saying it's not their fault even though they told me otherwise the first time

My husband and I went for yearly checkup that is covered by our insurance and I stated the same to the hospital staff. They charged fees for the appointment and added tests that were not covered by my insurance. Now, you can to call so many people to get the charges reversed. I am never coming here again.

Went to Urgent care - Saturday 7/9/22 around 8:45 am as I had slipped in my home & used my hand to shield the "fall' .... wrist was hurting ...... During Check-in the receptionist told me (a) Wait for Adults is 3 to 4 hours - ( Children 1.5 hours ) - There is NO Visual indicator - like you pick a number & central Display like in Costco optrometrics - that estimate turned out to be grossly incorrect - My name was called in 2.5 hours & I had gone out to lunch ..... Had to do a re-checkin after Lunch 1:00 pm - again they had no ETA - evey Costco tire center & DMV has better numbering systems! X-ray took another hour & then re-visit the DOC - DOC on duty NEVER showed X-Rays :-(

Negative review if i can choose. Pathetic experience. People here don't smile, no empathy. I have seen a Indian physician and at the end of appointment I felt so bad that i have cried for how she made me feel. Today I tried to take appointment for my kids and the call goes on forever, staff disconnects in between....if i want an appointment after school hours, literally no appointment until end of year....i should change my provider

Got my Covid booster shot at the same time as my flu shot here. Arrived on time for appointment mid-day on a weekday, and there was no extra waiting. The process was efficient and fast.

This has been my lab for over a decade now. But, this time my visit was different because I used the lab services for an Out of network doctor's Lab orders. My experience has been more than 5 stars. I took my NutrEval Kit to the lab after booking an appointment on the phone. The rep. on the phone confirmed that they could help me. NutrEval has no local labs that can draw the samples. The closest location was in Sutter San Francisco - which is not functional any longer. I am so glad the rep. at the San Francisco offered me to check with the Fremont location. The day I arrive with my kit the lady at the desk took my box and said they could ship it out as well on my behalf. Saved me a trip to Fedex. The tech who took my samples had my kit, took the samples in less than 2-3 mins and I was done. I have gained so much respect for this location. A big thank you to everyone.
