I used to come here ALL the time when I lived in Fresno, 1999-2006. Not a day has gone by without thinking about this spot. Today, after 15 years, I returned. Mimi, the lady in charge, immediately recognized me and we caught up with each other. The food was just how I remembered…BOMB.

Wasn't impressed with their vegetarian egg foo young, but everyone else thought their dishes were excellent. Would revisit.

Can you say delicioso?! A must for all you Chinese food lovers. The Peking duck is a flavorful dish with Crispy skin and perfectly portioned into sections. The steamed buns compliment the duck perfectly, be sure to use both sauces (one is spicy) and shredded veggies with your dish. Their chicken fried rice is one of the best I've ever tasted. The steamed fish has a flavor of its own along with the shredded veggies, this dish is a hit!!!

This is a LEGIT spot! The portions are INSANE! They have CRATES of styrofoam to-go boxes in the back of the restaurant, because (I'm assuming) most of the customers can't finish their plate. The portions are SO HUGE for the price! I ordered the broccoli chicken and steamed rice. The prices are comparable to other Chinese restaurants (but I got much more food than I have at other restaurants). The food was delicious. I left the restaurant feeling like I ate way too much, and I was STILL able to get two full sized meals from my leftovers. There was a little bit of a language barrier with a few of the staff, but nothing we couldn't handle with a smile and some patience with each other. The wait staff were super nice and the service was outstanding. No exaggeration. The service was outstanding. My diet is limited, so I wasn't able to try any of the items on the cart (yes, I said "cart"). A server pushes a food cart around the dining room, with small plates of different items like dumplings, pot stickers, etc (3 of each item per plate). Everything on the cart looked like it came straight out of a food magazine. Picturesque and appetizing. I will most definitely be returning. This is an establishment worth supporting. The food is top quality, and the menu is plentiful.

Horrible food. We ordered fried wontons as an appetizer and chow mein with sprouts and bbq pork for two to share. The entree was served before the appetizer. Fried wontons had no filling. Just deep fried dough.... But the chow mein was worse than one can imagine. The bbq pork was dry and definitely just sliced smoked pork from a store. The noodles looked stale. It was cooked earlier and sat in a bowl for many hours. I found noodles compressed into solid chunks (see photo). The portion was large but looked unappetizing and tasted like garbage. The waiter dared to ask if wanted a box... The good thing is that we did not get sick.

Yuck! Food taste old, barely warm. I ordered a combo #2 and combo #4. Sweet & sour pork was dry not sauce. Rice had no flavor. Noodles plain no flavor. Try ming hos down the street waaaay better.. also the customer service was horrible. We were ignored and not treated nicely when ordering. Lady had a bad attitude

Good food, awful service. Almost every time I've gone, the staff has displayed an attitude. Once, I ordered to-go and they forgot one of my orders. I called and they told me I needed to look harder. They didn't want to give me my refund either. Go to Four Seasons instead. Great service and great food.

This is the first 5 star rating I gave in any posting I did here in google if I remember it right. Why I gave this Imperial Garden restaurant in Fresno a 5 star? First, great tasting foods. Anyone can go here blindfolded and pick any menu and whatever that menu will be cooked right and will taste delicious- guaranteed. Second, the price is reasonably fair. Third, the interior is big enough to accommodate multiple guests. I noticed they just renovate the interior lightings with the addition of colorful LEDS. Lastly, parking is not an issue.

Imperial Garden is our favorite Chinese restaurant to eat at in the Central Valley for a multitude of reasons: 1. We love their hot and sour soup and chicken salad. Super delicious. Great for those two items alone. 2. Dim Sum. ‘Nuf Said. (Sunday Dim Sum is an endless array of choices). 3. I appreciate the super crazy items like chicken feet and salted fish. I don’t eat these items as my palette is not inclined towards those foods. 4. They are quick to accommodate and serve the food fast. Our whole family really likes this place. The servers are not particularly friendly but I am not necessarily coming to eat to make friends (they are professional). The restaurant itself is a bit dirty, but again, it’s great food. I highly recommend this place.

Came here on April 11, 2022 for dinner. Right when we got in and sat in our seat waitress came and took our drink orders. Only got first drink order from the party and second member order water and then she skipped the rest, she didn’t even ask. All she said was “okay okay”, gave the rest of use water. Not just that, she was very rude, she always interrupt what we are saying. She wanted us to order as quick as possible so she can end her shift. We did not leave any tip when we usually do and did not feel bad at all. I know you probably had a bad day but please do not show it in front of your customers. This place definitely needs more customer service work. I will not be going back here, there are other place I can go to beside here. Food was good though, and proportion was decent that’s why I give it a two star.

They have American style plates, but we order Family Style and enjoy a variety of dishes, including Dim Sum. We have been coming here for years and know the staff. The workers may seem straight forward and short with answers but they are very friendly.

Delicious food. Fast friendly service, large quantity. 1 plate can feed 2 people! No joke

BIG improvement in the quality of the food we had compared to a few years back (pre-pandemic) when just about everything was terribly over-cooked. Food this time around was much better and cooked just right. Service was almost too efficient; they were constantly hovering, moving items off the table even though it was a not-too-busy late Tuesday afternoon however they were not attentive in asking about refills. All in all, our overall dining experience was an improvement over our last time here and we will come again.

My first time and everything was delicious. Best Orange Chicken I've had. Pot stickers, egg rolls, and the combo fried rice were amazing as well!

Was not a fan, ordered ahead, 3 hours, for a pick up at 6 PM, When I arrived at 6 the food was cold, can tell by looking at it had been sitting for a while. I asked them to remake and they were upset! I am paying my hard earned money and it should be hot! The fried shrimp was mushy and cold! I asked for Sweet and Sour Shrimp and they put a hole bunch of fried shrimp, they left the tails on, and mixed together with Sweet and Sour sauce. With the Chicken salad the lettuce was rotten, when you pulled some out of the container there was brown lettuce on the bottom. Pan Fried noodles were cold and mushy. The Chicken Chop Suey Chow Mein. The few pieces of Chicken I had were basically fat. I believe they just microwaved the food and brought it back out. Was very upset. I will not ever return and I will make sure to tell others.

First time there. Won't be the only time. The food is great. Good size portions. Well worth the money. Wide array of choices. Many personal favorites. See you soon!

Be careful of ordering here in the case of knowing exactly what you want. I didn't know their soup had only vegetables and separate noodles for their chicken noodle soup. I ordered this soup specifically as my teeth had recently gotten some work and they were sore. I explained this to the staff and they did not give me a refund as requested. I did not have time to place another order, as I had ordered this on my lunch. Their food is subpar altogether when it comes to the other things they offer. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

Food is cooked Fresh as you order. Big portions. Reasonably priced. Most of their food are delish, I'd say about 80-90% The servers are alright. Atmosphere...it's your typical Chinese Restaurant, you go in and eat, nothing fancy, clean enough.

Although the portions are generous I was sadly disappointed with the lack of flavor especially when it came to the chow mein. There was a lot of bean sprouts in it so the taste of them was overpowering. The gravy that the noodles were swimming in had no seasoning or flavor at all which gave it an almost slimy texture :/

I was under the impression that this was a "legitimate Chinese (Cantonese) restaurant. I'm half Chinese and lived and grew up in Taiwan China and SanGabriel Valley. I was weary that it wasn't an actual Chinese restaurant for Chinese people so I asked the older Cantonese folks outside they assured me it was. They were wrong. We ordered basic dishes and they were all wrong. The lettuce wraps we not crunchy and wet and saucy instead of light flakey and crunchy. The Kung Pao looked even worse and we returned it as it arrived. And how do you mess up fried rice?!? It was Dark, dry and flavorless couldn't even really see the egg. I'm shocked. The chicken feet were old (as westerners never order it) this is a generic "Chinese takeout" in middle America disguised as a legitimate Cantonese restaurant. 1/5 never again.

Right now for the price and for the food it's the best full service Chinese in town I wish China restaurant would start table service again
