The front office staff lack any kind of compassion or professionalism. We had to say goodbye to our dog. The lady with the fruit loop hair was so rude and lacked and decency. All of this in front of our 5 children who were already crying. She would not let us all say good bye together. She would not get up and show us where to go. She just vaguely lifted her hand up as if we should know. Then she got her manager to approach me and my children to continue with the unkindness. The office manager implied that we are lucky that we get to wait inside. As if we should be grateful that she doesnā€™t make 5 kids and a mom sit outside in fresno at 11:00 at night. I was not rude. I said no curse words. I asked nicely if we could all say goodbye to our family dog together. And this is how the behave. They leave you in the room alone for hours with no updates on your pet in the back. When stopping a nurse after hearing nothing for 4 hours, she said she didnā€™t have time to check. It was not too busy. Their were 3 woman sitting in the front doing nothing but chatting. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Took my cat here because it was Saturday and my vet- Pet medical and spa would not see her for 3 weeks. My cat was throwing up so much, she had nothing left. Went here on their recommendation. First of all- very clean. Very professional staff. We left because they said 6 hour wait. Well..... everybody was either closing early, or full to capacity. So we humbly went back. This is an er. They have to deal with critical first. I understand this now. We were shown to a room and told it would be a while. One of the techs came in to access her. Let me tell You- everyone that we dealt with and dealt with our cat was great. They were so kind to her. I'm thinking my vet did me a favor. I really don't want to go back to Pet Medical. They listened to us. It was a six hour wait, but we left there knowing they cared. They even gave us snacks and coffee. We ended up paying $450 for blood work and I.V. Makes me wonder what would have happened to her if they didn't help her.

So I want to preface this review by saying I completely understand that other animals had a way more severe injury than my cat. I also want to say that in no way was i ever trying to be rude or think my cat is way more important than the other animals. We came here at 8pm. They had several opportunities to take my cat in for his injury. There are 6 waiting rooms If I remember. They had taken all of the other animal in the waiting room. Which was four, leaving a few rooms open. My cat was never attended, nor seen. We left 11pm because we were never seen and not even a second thought. When we expressed thst we had been sitting there for a few hours, rhey were a bit snippy and they kept saying a few more hours. They were friendly for the most part but they completely ignored my cat. Took in every other animal in the waiting room besides mine. I took this photo after about an hour of waiting. When three animals came in after us. Again, I understand other animals have a more severe injury than my cat did but he was never attended. He was never acknowledged. They had a solid 30 minute/hour to get Tommy in and seen.

Today was a tough day as my elderly dog had a seizure. Without a long drawn out review my key points are: Yes, the wait seemed quite long, until I heard them comforting a man in the next room, who had to put his dog to sleep. We were not a crisis case as Max had stabilized prior to me leaving the house with him. They were thorough, kind, and upfront about the substantial cost of their thoroughness. Huge for me was the fact that I think they are some of the few vets in town that now allow you to go in with your pet. I just could not leave him. They also are providing all of their records of today to my regular vet via email. All in all, well done.

DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC! The visit I experienced at your facility on November 22nd 2022 at 5:30am. I had the absolutely worst experience with the staff here, especially with the manager ā€œBillā€. When I arrived with my cat, I was prompted to sign documents which I was under the impression were emergency care waivers. Upon having my pet taken into custody, I was presented a $3000.00 bill, even though no diagnosis had been presented. I expressed to the staff how I could not afford the bill presented. With no compassion or empathy, the staff told me my pet would be discharged and I would be charged for the emergency care exam, which consist of a heartbeat check ā€œwith stethoscopeā€. Thatā€™s it and thatā€™s all. I expressed to them how this was unreasonable due to my financial hardship, and due to me being unaware that I would only have one option of $3000.00. After I expressed how i could not afford the amounts. I was threatened with collections which would be added to my name. And I wouldnā€™t have my discharge papers and my cat presented to me. Iā€™m totally disappointed with the compassion I received . If youā€™re working with the public, please learn to be compassionate. We have different situations and come from different walks of life. In difficult situations the last thing we need is disconnected, in-compassionate, people working in a field where empathy is required.

Took my dog Thor in because he was in a lot of pain for his mouth and wait was too long for our local vet office. He hadnt been to a vet since a puppy and isnt very socialized but the staff was amazing with him. They made him feel safe and when I came to pick him up they even took his muzzle off and loosened his collar which I appreciated a lot and so did he. The wait time was really long but it was a non emergency so its totally understandable. Will come back if needed and trust them with my fur babies. Thank you!!!

I have taken several animals here and this last time was horrible took an elderly dog here to be put down and they were completely disrespectful at front desk lady said putting down dog wasn't important and that I should just return with her another time I never new someone could be so heartless. I thought this was a safe place but I was wrong if you love your animals don't take them here. The front desk lady should be fired for lack of empathy I will not be returning to this hospital because of her I have seven Dogs and thought this place was safe but I will never visit here again.

I would highly recommend this place! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The cost was high but itā€™s an emergency hospital so that was expected. This was my first time experiencing a pet emergency hospital so I canā€™t compare prices. The medications that were sent home were already in the syringes with the correct amount of medicine and had enough prefilled syringes for the amount of days needed. The take home instructions were typed out, easy to understand and follow. Everything that was done was also emailed me including the X-ray images. If I could rate them more than 5 stars I would

A few weeks ago, my dog stopped eating, which is not like her at all. After seeing her regular vet, we found out that she was diabetic and in severe ketoacidosis. It was recommended to bring her here and I'm so glad I did! They literally saved her life. My dog was there for 3 days and everyone I talked to was SO kind and thoughtful. I sincerely want to thank everyone-the ladies up front, the techs, and the vets-for taking such good care of my baby and showing us nothing but kindness and compassion during one of the hardest moments a pet parent can go through. They took the time to explain exactly what was happening, updated me daily on her condition, and answered the million questions I had (both there and over the phone after her discharge) thoroughly. Was it pricey? Yes. But this is an ER that deals with emergency situations and, just like human ER's, those are rarely cheap. It was worth every penny to save my girl and get her back home and on the way to her old, happy self.

My 3 year old Frenchie, Hazel, experienced sudden onset of a herniated disc. The staff and doctors were quick in seeing her. They were very busy but remained professional and helpful. I liked that they gave me a quote of how much treatment would cost upfront. Everything was included in the quote including medicine. No surgery but recovering now with a conservative plan of strict crate rest and medications. Expect to wait because ALL vets in Fresno area are overwhelmed with a lot of emergencies. The evening I brought my dog in, the ER had 5 emergency surgeries! But I canā€™t say enough good things about them. Iā€™m grateful they saved my dogā€™s life and long term health!

tldr: my experience: expertise & kindness ā¤ļø saved our boy The negative reviews on here are so confusing to me bc my experience has been nothing but good. The first time I came here freaking out about my catā€™s involuntary movements in his sleep. The second time I came to this ER was for some actually concerning symptoms that came up really quickly for him. Right off the bat I was warned that it could be several hour wait but if things got worse for him he would be seen immediately. They only seemed to have a few people on deck so that made TOTAL sense to me. (& they have snacks and beverages for you while ya wait šŸ˜®) I was grateful that I got here as soon as we felt something was wrong. My instincts were correct this time. The staff were gentle with him and speedy with a diagnosis and plan. Treatment was in the thousands, but with pet insurance, it is doable (Pls get pet insurance!) And the staff are nothing but understanding and compassionate given the circumstances. He had to stay for a couple days and I was continually updated on his condition and felt that the different staff members that were working on him really cared. They welcomed me to text anytime if I had questionsā€¦. This was a stressful event for our little family and especially for Marvin, but I can tell they made it as painless as possible. P.s. I canā€™t remember the receptionistā€™s name but she reminded me of a brighter version of Pam from the Office lol ?!? She was so real and loving & made the whole thing the opposite of a soul-sucking experience. see before and after pics of our bb boi šŸ’› weā€™re so happy heā€™s home

Today we were faced with such a heartbreaking situation as pet owners. Our German Shepherd was lethargic and his gums were white. We noticed his breathing became labored and rushed him in. He was taken back as soon as we filled out paperwork. It was determined he had an undetected splenic tumor that ruptured and was bleeding into his stomach. He was fading quickly and we made the decision to euthanize so there was no chance of pain or prolonged suffering. The vet and vet techs were so kind, compassionate and warm. We cannot thank you enough for the empathy you provide to people in such a horrible moment and the love and care you give the animals that come into your facility. People are at their worst when they are heartbroken and their loved ones are hurting, human or animals. These veterinarian and vet techs see the worst of the worst every day. Please remember to be kind to them in return. They're doing their best and often going above and beyond.

I have been here several times, unfortunately as ER visits are never fun, with both of my dogs. But the staff have been wonderful everytime. My first dog had ā€œhappy tailā€ and eventually had to have his entire tail amputated. He was very nervous and was bleeding a lot. They were beyond kind to me and him and were able to bandage him and get him stable until I could get him in too his regular vet for surgery the next day. Also the exam room was a mess due to the blood and the staff declined me cleaning it and stated they didnā€™t mind. So kind and compassionate to my nervous boy and his just as nervous owner. My other dog came in for what we assumed was a major injury only to find out she was being dramatic and she was just a tad sore due to an unknown injury. The vet was still very kind and sympathetic to her and us. They are expensive and the wait can be long, but as itā€™s 24 hours itā€™s to be expected. The staff have to go through so much and deserve recognition. I was also having some banking issues so my card took about an hour to work, but the tech and receptionists were understanding and began treatment before my bank was fixed.

Thank you all for taking such good care of my Peyton boy :-) I brought him in with concerns that he ate something that he couldnā€™t digest. The Dr took the best care of him and was very informative. And thank you to the awesome assistants that spoke so sweet to him and made him feel safe and comfortable. Iā€™m very grateful to have you all to go to in case of emergency <3

The emergency vets here were amazing. We brought our dog in and the front desk staff quickly helped us. They examined him in relatively short time and made sure that he was stable. It was a little bit until we were able to speak with the vet but the support staff made sure that we knew what was going on. He stayed overnight and each of the vets called to keep us informed of what was going on. Very happy with the care that was provided.

Took my dog in for an ear problem, he was sedated to look at his ear., ear canal. $500.00 later sent home with a antibiotic and an ear wash solution, took him to another vet a week laterite do a follow up, was told if he was sedated his ear shouldā€not look like this. Another $200.00, to be told that we negotiate are dog.

I had to rush my dog here at 11pm on a Wednesday night after visiting Moroa Track Pet Hospital the Sunday before and being told my dogs intestines were clear and she had a stomach ache (donā€™t EVER take your pets there). After arriving at Fresno Vet, i never even sat in the waiting room. They had me in a room immediately and were tending to my dog. Fresno Vet did their own set of X-rays, ultrasound, and blood work and found some very concerning results. They rushed my dog into emergency surgery and found a fruit pit causing blockage in her small intestine. Dr Burt was absolutely amazing, attentive, and so so kind. They were open and honest about everything. They called and gave me updates before and after surgery and during recovery, and the office staff was so sweet as well. I hope no one ends up in the situation for emergency attention, but if so, I would highly recommend them. They literally saved my dogs life and I couldnā€™t thank them all enough.
