I have been a member for a long time but I got my membership canceled today. I have a medical condition and really suffering from ingrown toenails. It is a very painful condition and sometimes I even see bleeding in my socks when wearing closed toe shoes. My big toenail falls every year if I wear closed toe shoes especially workout shoes. That's why I wear open toe athletic shoes in the gym. They are very comfortable and allow me to workout and maintain a healthy weight. Unfortunately, the staff in there had no knowledge about my problem and kicked me out. The girl who approached me was a new staff to me; never seen her before but she canceled my membership right away! Both of them seemed very indifferent while kicking me out. There’s a member in there who’s very negative. I wish I knew his name but a friend of mine told me he’s threatened to slap them in the gym. He tries to be intimidating to others but is a very small young man. His girlfriend, Bri, works the counter which makes me believe he feels some kind of privilege. I am an employee for the business out of state and to see this level of behavior go uninterrupted is very unlike what planet fitness stands for and I personally feel uncomfortable around this boy. I feel like speaking to management but since his girlfriend works there I just have a feeling that they won’t hear my side out. Perhaps I’ll contact my branch and see if there’s anything that can be done. I am disappointed

(Update 1/1/2024) This was my home gym but unfortunately, I have decided to cancel my black card membership because the weekend hours here have recently changed and is no longer 24hr. Staff here have been excellent throughout the years and was very sympathetic to my final decision.

I got charged twice for their yearly fee of $48 because I was a member for 11 months and then signed up again. There's nothing special about this gym. They added the black card perks but then limit the use even though it says unlimited. I try and use the hydromassage before and after a workout but it's only 10 minutes. Of course you can ask them again but at times they'll make you wait 20-30 minutes before going on again. Or they'll just ignore you and be on their cell phone or talking to someone else unprofessionally. Majority of staff are rude. A few will greet you when you walk in and out but it's sometimes snarky like they only have to say it because it's their job. The locker rooms are usually dirty. No soap, no TP, no hot water, no blow dryers. I bring my own. Showers are filthy, with hair and only God knows what else and the shower curtains are even worse. I can complain all day about the state of the place but at least they'll provide us with cleaning materials to clean the machines and equipment ourselves, yay!

I was very pleased with my first day of membership at This Planet Fitness location. The gym was really clean well ventilated and the staff was helpful and kind. Everyone was minding their own business sticking to their workouts it truly did feel like a judgment free zone. I like that they had multiple cleaning stations to easily clean machines before and after each use. There's plenty of Sanitation areas and the facilities were well maintained. The app makes it helpful to gauge how busy the gym is before you go in and they also have a lot of great fitness tips and tutorial videos on the app which are instructional and also help you track your workout journey. Remember You don't get a huge assortment of workout machines especially cardio but you get the essentials. For the price you cannot go wrong great place to get a good workout in and be out. They have the elliptical the stair stepper treadmills a rowing machine bicycles and one other stepping machine that looked like an elliptical bicycle hybrid. I like that they had individual endurance and strength training areas with machines that were easily labeled with instructions.

I mean it's a gym? No, it's more. That is a very good location and while it may not be as extensive as other gyms in the area? It's a good location for me to work out in and I can improve myself. Impressively enough they are swapping out the machines that were still good with newer models that have new digital displays. Also staff is very friendly.

Excellent experience for someone who loves to stay active but humble. This is a perfect environment to work out and plenty of space all the staff is friendly.... The exercise equipment is well maintained and the gyms are very clean... the prices are very affordable...... Enjoy, it's worth your health

It's alright, but some people from the front desk are just so rude for no reason, and when asking them, they'll try to give you a quick response to get you out of their face. Toilet is always broken or has no toilet paper, and I told them some machines were not working and they haven't done anything about it.

Went in today to sign up, we went through the current specials and wanted to sign up. They wanted two to forms of payment OK, it was weird but I was fine with it. I asked the guy at the counter can I see the gym and equipment before signing up. He said I cannot because I am not a member yet. WHAT that’s why I am here. He kept on saying I can sign up online. I know I can but I want to sign up now when I am at the gym. Well it seems to be too much ask to see the gym. This guy did not wanted to walk around to show, So I left. I know it’s not gym fault but they need to hire people who are helping people signing up not pushing them out the door. It’s call customer service. Signed up down the street with valley fitness. Great experience. We talked and then I was showed the gym without asking. And we sat and discussed the packages. They sold me gym member ship for 30 dollars a month. Which is 20 dollars more than planet fitness. Sad.

The club is very clean but the staff needs to do a better job of asking people to cover their faces. They're scared of confronting the Karens and Kyles. There is a 5 foot sign when you walk in stating that face coverings are required at all times but they don't even expect their own employees to cover their faces.

Please for the love of god get another bench, there’s only 3 and half the time one of them doesn’t work. Also add more music to the Rockbot, y’all don’t allow us to play anything. There are also always 3-4 broken cables on machines and I can’t imagine that’s very hard to remedy seeing as how that’s why we pay the annual charge.

They are firing my brother and management is refusing to give his termination paperwork. The staff looks miserable as they cant seem to catch up dealing with toxic management , being made felt less they relocate almost 90% of the time . Staff does an excellent job overall but fails to be treated otherwise . I workout 3-6 hours sometimes at Planet Fitness , everyone going to that gym knows this is true . The members at the gym always ask me how am i doing this? God doesnt like ugly .

Employees are great. After a week or so with no restrooms and water it was finally fixed, just don't forget to take your headphones because is either is too quiet with no music at all or the music is too depressing either way is not music that motivates you to workout. But equipment is in great condition and the place is pretty clean.

It’s over 90 degrees, several days in a row, and this gym thinks doors open and no AC is the way to roll while you’re exerting yourself. Enjoy a lawsuit after the first heat stroke. The free membership for teens is worthy of canceling your membership for too. It’s already too crowded and now it’s even worse.

Sign up was easy. Plenty of equipment available in the morning when I went. I was able to zoom in and snag a quick work out between dropping off the kids at school and heading to work. Overall good experience on my first day.

Didn't appreciate Caleb waking me up before 8 am on a Sunday to tell me "you don't have access to any of our gyms until you pay your balance" after 2 different employees told me it was fine to keep coming until I could pay it on Monday.... which is tomorrow. I explained this and he basically said "...oh well, new management. Still can't come in" no room for exception i guess, even though ive been coming to this gym for like 10 years ...some good stuff really 🙄

Planet Fitness on Barstow is excellent. New and updated equipment and the staff employees are courteous and professional. The facility is very clean as well.

All time favorite gym !! My home gym. Friendly staff clean equipment I’m so sad it’s closing for a week or two for repairs :( can’t wait to be back in this gym !! Shout out to Ken for being the best worker there! Always friendly and always helpful :)

The workers kept staring at me as soon as I walked in and wouldn’t stop and even watched until I got out the door. Made me uncomfortable and judged so I’m switching gyms. So much for “judgement free”

I can't say enough good things about this gym! The equipment is good shape, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the cleanliness of the facilities is exceptional. If you're looking for a clean, well-maintained gym with a helpful staff, this is the place to be!

I'd head over here just a few hours ago making sure that I'd still have my premium master card membership when I'd walked up the street to do laundry an the receptionist told me that I'm all covered up with them an they'd waiver me for the whole month but make sure to bring my debit card with me. That is I was going to cancel my membership with them since I'd couldn't of paid for these past couple of months straight, 😯 this could be quite a testimony 1 of these days & I'd got my job back an got my hours back.

This gym is always clean. The employees keep up on the cleanliness. Also they recently got all new equipment. I love it.

When I do go into planet fitness. It's usually a short workout. A little more would be good. But overall. Planet Fitness is usually neat clean and and a cool atmosphere. I do recommend.

I'm new to this gym, but I love it because it is pretty chill and open overnight for people like me who work until midnight. I can get my workout in every day without having to schedule around things.

Engaging Staff, respectful, genuine. Different from most locations. Everything worked for my needs and one of the few remaining truly 24 hour 7 day a week gym.

I have been working out at this location since 2018. Glad it’s 24/7. Good staff. But special thanks to KC for her work the way she works Always welcoming, positive energy. Take care of her job really well. Been seeing her working nights. Very hard working doesn’t matter it’s, late nights or early mornings. She Always does the job, maintains the gym with the help of her coworkers. Excellent work ethic.

The worst planet fitness ive been to 1. Dumbells only go to 60lbs. 70s are typical thats bad enough 2. There is no plate loaded leg press in the gym 3. The entire gym has (6) 45lb plates 4. The decline benches have been all lined up in the most non practical place in the gym and bolted to the floor. No decline smith options here. No decline options at all unless you want to carry your dumbells across the gym to the bolted down benches tucked away in the back. 5. Foreigner television playing. If you want to watch that at your house or back at your country, cool. Dont force me to watch it. Learn the language where you chose to live 🤷

Never been to a gym and this is a decent gym to start out slowly to build muscle and lose weight, amazing staff service

This location is the best one in town. Plenty of space and privacy. Everything is clean and well kept. It’s super easy to get a good workout here.

The place is clean. The staff is nice. There are plenty of machines that are in great shape. Wish it had more free weights. Plus it's across the street from a High school, you sometimes have high school kids in there that take up machines posting selfies and taking up space.

Getting that tired look. Seats and arm rests are cracked, machines not operable, black card fancy massage equipment are broken.....for months and months! Lots of deferred maintenance, and it will only get worse unless they get on top of their game.

Bit late for for this, but after they reopened from the Covids they sent one random email that went straight to "promotions." The default for no response was to start charging me the monthly membership fee again with some sort of non refundable account maintenance fee tacked on. The fee was worth 6 months of membership. I was told to talk to corporate and best of luck.

Love coming here. No worries the lunk alarm isn’t used. Thankfully! The only thing is that it’s starting to get very warm and humid in that it’s been making me feel super nauseous. It is cooler outside and it’s July.

This place pics and chooses what rules to fallow, multiple people walking around jumping from machine to machine without wiping anything down but moment I grunt I get asked to bring the Intensity down. Also there’s a good portion of patrons just sitting on equipment not really doing anything been here for over and hr one person taking up a smith has literally done nothing but stare at herself In the mirror it’s cheap and 24/ hr but it’s a extremely frustrating place to work out if you take it seriously

2.5 stars from me but could easily be 4 stars if they put some window curtains up and run their ac at a good temp to work out in. Its hot out. Im not working out indoors because i want to be hot and gross but the last 2 times i was uncomfortable. They clean well . There's lots of teenagers that are there for the free membership. The unfiltered floor to ceiling windows give the place an annoying glare when looking even vaguely at the parking lot. The parking lot is devoid of trees or any shade making it a sauna if the temp is 90s or higher

Super clean. Love the spa. Have machines working. Go in afternoon and never have had to wait to use equipment. Only down. No pool or special classes like in shape. But better prices. So can c why.

This place is the only 24/7 planet fitness in Fresno. I like this place bcus it’s always clean the employees are always keeping it clean. Employees are cool and easy to get along with. It can get pretty packed during the afternoon after 5 but other than that I enjoy coming here to workout!
