How they still allow smoking indoors is beyond me... I always enjoy combining getting cancer with good music :)

It's a cool room, with awesome anarchist-leaning decor. The people are nice. The drinks are cheap. The sound was good. My problem is it allows smoking, and it's a very confined space. It was hard to breathe inside. My throat hurts hours later, and I still have a headache. My whole hotel room reeks of smoke from the clothes I wore. I want to like this place, but I can't stand to be inside it.

A small pub with a small live music stage. The main music genres here are garage rock and folk music. The beverage prices are quite cheap when compare to other pubs with live music. However, smoking is allowed inside so avoid here if you have problems with it. Overall, it a nice location to enjoy the night with small drink and live music.

Super friendly bar, reminds me of “the old bar” for those from Melbourne. I will always check what’s going on here when I’m in Berlin, it was a great vibe.

A great live music Bar in Berlin. Not sure if they have always music but I was lucky to see 'anika' from England. A small intimate place. Loved it !!! Prices were average, not too expensive

Super special “leftie” type of place, with AMAZING music and a cosy dance/hangout area. The crowd I witnessed here was truly some of the friendliest looking folks, and the night I went they had 70s and 80s rock n roll music going, straight out of vinyl players! It was a vibe 😌

Its a nice place,but you have to fullfill standards of others. I dont feel free. I like hosts and audience of Ronsons better when it comes to Karaoke.

Fair prices, nice place for dancing (Music was too slow for my taste!). Nice crowd.

This place is small but cosy. The bar staff was friendly and the music was good. This night they had electronic music playing (techno) but they have a stage too so other kinds of music are welcomed here too. The drink prices are acceptable, especially for a downtown bar.

A very cool venue, hidden courtyard in Mitte. Once a year they do a Hoffest when the yard is alive until super late, with music, drinks, and people everywhere. Other than that mainly concerts and some art events are hosted here (inside though).

The barman/older rough-looking guy "accidentally" didn't give enough change on my 50 euro note at the Liiek concert yesterday or tried to give me too little change. Unfortunately, in Berlin it happens more often in alternative shops where people are looking for their own safe space. So please be careful, 1 star.

The performance was great, but the smell of cigarettes was too much to bear.

My only hangout place. Punk. Alternative. Friendly. Entry is by donation. Drinks are cheap. No fuss at the entrance. Younger crowd may feel out of place here. But that's exactly why it is my kind of place :)

Nice and small and homely. You can see the stage from everywhere, with 120 people. The prices at the bar are also great. We recommend.

A great place for intimate punk shows, have a few beers and shots among friends, and get hella sweaty in summer ☀️ 10/10 👌

It takes some getting used to when smoking in a club during concerts. If it's in something cute like chocolate, it'll be thin. Acoustics adapted to the local location, so no heavy sound. It feels like 70 people fit in here - so buy tickets in advance Good: there is seating in the back area and even a table football. Very good: drink prices.

Really good, loud, narrow, cheap punk shop that reminds you of how nice the time in Berlin was a while ago if you were looking for subculture. Unfortunately one of the few shops left. All the more important to go there and support such things

As always, extremely good, very nice staff, nice concert and great audience. Hopefully the chocolate will be around for a very long time... the whole Ackerstrasse is already gentrified, full of designer shops, condominiums, penthouses, etc. The chocolate stands out extremely positively

Great store, great concerts. Good prices, good beer, table football! Just a little very small, often full and sold out, but good for them. Because of the residents... after 10 p.m. it's often all loud and beautiful.

Very fun place, we found a dancing night with dj playing music with vinyl. The atmosphere was super nice, with people really enjoying their time

Cheap beer. Great friendly staff, super accepting and positive crowd. People smoke inside but the ventilation is really good so it's no big deal. Great spot to hang out.

It's a fantastic place. If you find yourself there when the stage is open for songwriters, or some progressive concert is underway (which often happens there), you probably couldn't be in a more comfortable place in Berlin. The drinks are not expensive, the crowd is lovely and the staff very friendly. And when you leave, you still carry the sweet taste of chocolate with you..

Shokoladen is some of those places where you can feel the real vibe of Berlin music scene. Went to see the live performance by the German/Kenyan duo ODD OKODDO and really enjoyed the whole atmosphere.
