OMG ! This place is freaking awesome, stop by for lunch. Had the best CFS sandwich EVER! crispy, juicy, crunchy, BIG and Delicious 😋 I had that baby with fries and coleslaw ooh man, I washed it down with a big old piece of bread pudding! That thing was HUGE! But it was no match for me . I will be going back !! please make room for dessert or take it to go ! Hope to see you there !!

I was pleased with the breakfast today, only thing is that I like the coffee to be served very hot and mine wasn't, but other than that the food is great.

Finally I found my favorite diner! This diner is like no other! The atmosphere is so relaxing and almost makes me feel like I’m in the mountains! Friendly staff! The presentation of the food was great! Food was so delicious 😋 I’m going back soon!

Before I get into the food, I think it's important to mention the fantastic atmosphere of the restaurant. Everything, from the outside decorations to the menus, gives the impression that you are dining at a small cabin diner in the woods. The food itself was delicious. On this particular occasion, I had the volcano breakfast, while my friend had the mini volcano. Everything was delicious and fresh. The pancakes were fluffy and sweet, and the eggs and hash browns were generously seasoned. The sausages and bacon, on the other hand, were the stars of the show. Both were delicious, but the bacon was especially so. Unlike what other restaurants serve for breakfast, the slices were thick, crispy and not greasy. Overall, one of the best breakfasts in orange county.

We came here for breakfast as we were passing through to get back to UT. The pancakes were so fluffy and buttery. The breakfast burrito was delicious with eggs, veggies, hash browns and bacon. The waffles were spungy and slightly crispy on the outside. The staff friendly and courteous. Overall, very satisfied!! Glad we stopped by before going home.

Very nice family restaurant. Friendly staff. Lot of parking and a Ralph’s store a few doors down. I had the pesto Salmon and it was excellent. Prime Rib on Friday and Saturday. I also got the coconut crème pie and took it home - so good. Great place for kids.

Am giving 3 stars due to service and ambiance. Our sever was friendly but not attentive. Came back when we were almost done with our meal to ask if it was ok. We had dirty plates to be picked up from our table but she didn't pick those up in a timely manner. Food was ok, nothing spectacular. I felt the food was under seasoned. The ground beef with the taco salad smelled funny and tasted like grease. We were seated close to the kitchen window and all we could hear were employees gossiping in Spanish instead of hearing the restaurant music and enjoying our time there. Update: November 2033 Came back to give this location another chance. They failed, again. They messed up on my husbsnds egg Benedict order and the potatoes were undercooked and full of grease. The side of fruit smelled rotten. Even the orange slice garnish was unripe and not edible. I tried the taco salad again. The meat again had a funny taste and smell and thecitaluan dressing I ordered was old. That's it Black Bear...no more chances, we're done. (Location on Harbor ).

As far as breakfast fare is concerned, not bad. It's a decent spot for breakfast. Certainly the food was prepared correctly, and our server - although it was there first week, did an excellent job and provided attentive and friendly service. Incidentally, it seemed as if the landscaping was recently redone and careful attention was paid to the bear themed decor. I thought some of the dad joke puns associated with bear statues were wonderful :-)

On Sunday, November 26, 2023, my family and I visited Black Bear Diner in Fullerton for a meal. The food was incredibly tasty and delicious, and we were particularly pleased with the variety of choices available on the kids menu. Moreover, the food at Black Beadiner was absolutely amazing. Every dish I tried was delicious and satisfying. I was especially impressed with the exceptional service provided by Maria, my server. She went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. I want to extend my gratitude to Maria for her outstanding service. If you're looking for a comfy cozy atmosphere with home cookin' this is the place to be. Kids love their meals and they had lots of choices on the menu. My wife had the chicken fried steak and I had the California burger and both went down easy. The huckleberry ice cream was fantastic and our server, Kyle, did a great job!

Always like black bear. Hope it can get better. I go back this weekend but the hash browns are obviously over cooked. They should get better.

It’s quite a long wait if you go at lunch time but small group gets in pretty quickly. The service time was also a bit slow in the rush hours. Food was amazing and suits the term “comfort food”. Spacious parking lot. The ice cream is delicious!

Great tasting pancakes! Whatever spices they use make them great. Great value compared to most. Waitress worked her butt off, but they need more staff. Great overall experience.

2nd time I've been to this chain and again I loved it..there were 7 of us so the bill plus tip was high but food and service very worth it

Best Chicken Fried Steak. Their menu is flexible, so you don't have to get mashed potatoes. If you do though, they are made fresh that day from potatoes, not a mix. Restaurant always clean. Meals are cooked to order, so a little longer to get your meal. They have a good size meeting room, if you need for club gatherings.

A friend's breakfast took us here today and the service was great. well staffed, clean and friendly. There coffee was pretty good and food was big portions. I have been here multiple times since this location opened around 2017 and I can only say the experience keeps getting better with each visit 😁

Absolutely Love this place! We went in before the dinner crowd arrived so we were seated immediately. The entire staff was friendly and our server was great. As expected, the food was delicious and the portions were so big that we took enough home for a 2nd meal. There are plenty of things to choose from on the menu, including a very good veggie burger. When you want an amazing meal of good old fashioned comfort food, this is definitely the place to come.

Food is always so good whenever I come to this establishment. I love their one of a kind newspaper menu, for some reason it makes me feel happy. The environment is also awesome, havent had any bad experiences with the place or people. 10/10 would recommend😋🐻

The food was acceptable for Black bear dinner. Service was ok. This one is a little bit further than the one I usually go to but I enjoy the area in fullerton more so I d go here again. Keep on keeping on Fullerton.I might be back, just do me a favor and take my steak off a little sooner and undercook my pancakes just a bit. Thanks !

My first time visiting and I must say I really enjoyed it. It is a family style restaurant with great food, very generous serving sizes, and reasonably priced. I would definitely return. I arrived during the lunch rush, and there was a 30 minute wait. The restaurant had a feel like I was up in the mountains. The menu looks like an old newspaper with all the locations and dates of when they opened. Merchandise is also available for purchase. Dine in is available. Enjoy your visit!
