Cleaning is a joke. Everything is moisture with bacteria. I wonder if the breakfast is clean as my room. Paying 17500¥ (about 110€) for such quality of cleaning. All the bathroom is under bacteria. The aircon didn’t work. Picture is the fair drier. Good luck for touching it.

Stayed for 2 nights here. Rooms were nice, had a nice view over Tokyo Bay. Room had everything we needed for the stay. Service staff seemed good. Included breakfast was pretty nice, large variety of food, but it seemed they needed more help because when we went to find a table there was probably 20 tables that still needed clearing off. Apart from that was ok. Plenty of facilities in the hotel, spa, massage, convenience store, restaurants. Note: watch out for the lifts in the central tower. The doors will close on you unexpectedly whether you are fully out of the lift or not. Saw many people get caught outside or have the doors close and hit them.

Bathroom and room temperature are big issues. I would never stay here again. The bathroom issue is that the showerhead sprays water very widely and not at all straight on so most of the water sprays the shower walls and curtain. The second issue is that the shower walls funnel the water outside of the shower and onto the floor into big puddles at both the front and back of the shower so you end up with tons of water outside of the shower. My colleague who also rented a room here said the exact same thing happened in his bathroom. See video. There is no way to adjust the shower head, no way to change the direction. Then there's that issue of the temperature in the winter. The hotel only has heat switched on in the winter and the windows are very old so during the day the sun heats the room up like a greenhouse and since there's no air conditioning it's very very hot. And informed hotels staff of how hot the room was at 25° c / 78° f and their solution was to bring me a fan since the hotel completely disables the air conditioning in the winter.

Nice hotel with all amenities inside it and convenient location. We loved the restaurants inside, 2 lawsons, small shopping areas and convenience of walking completely covered and safe to the convention center. The view from the top was amazing. Beds were small but soft and comfortable. Rooms were small but sufficient for our weekend trip.

Will definitely come again in the future, nothing to complaint. Facilities are complete. Very comfortable stay. Single train line that reaches Tokyo. Pay extra for express train if you want faster trip.

One of the best hotels you can stay during an exhibition. I selected the main tower and had a room in 37th floor with a spectscular view to the sea-side. Room is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful and of course very attentive. For the restaurants there is a good variety of food styles but don't forget to make a reservation during busy times, especially for the restaurant in 50th floor. You also have some shops in the hotel and a big outlet is very close as well as an Aeon. There is many spa area and a Pool outside. Also many things to explore around!

Nice service. Love the hot spring there. The location is a bit far from station, take almost 15mins walk. But there is a Lawson open24hrs inside the hotel, it is convenience. It have free shuttle buses travel between hotel and station but the it only available in the morning.

A good experience (staff, onsen, breakfast), but the room itself was quite dated, the shower was borderline pointless because the shower head shot in all directions, and it was dusty with other people’s hair strewn about. It would have been a 5* review otherwise.

Rooms nice if small, good inclusions with room, only major issue was laundry services. The combo washer dryers don't dry, guest behavior around taking turns seems inconsistent here too (odd considering adherence elsewhere). However that's not the hotels fault, just to be aware of, I'd go to a laundromat rather than use hotel's facilities.

Great location. Right next to the Makuhari Messe exhibition centre and the nearby train station. Room is very high up and has a great view. Not roomy but sufficiently equipped. Checking in/out was easy using the machines.

A tall building hotel located next to the exhibition hall. The single room is very compact and the bathroom is small but has everything. A bus takes you from the airport to the hotel door. There is a connecting passageway to the exhibition hall.

Most people stay here to attend the event in 幕張メッセ. The hotel asked guests for “self check-in” however the system(plate) is horrible which causes long queue and did waste a lot of time. Hope the hotel could just change back to normal check-in until the plate has been enhance. Guests are asked to scan QR code for luggage storage. When I asked to add one more luggage, concierge staff asked me to cancelled the original record and make a new one. Then we found one guest can only have one record. It seems the hotel want to update the service but the staff has not been trained accordingly. By the way, I fell down in the slope twice when 8 was with my luggage. Please be careful with it. And the carpet in the connection way from the station on 2F really need to be renewed.

Hotel is serviced by a bus limousine from Narita T2 Level 3, costing 1000 JPY, directly to this hotel entrance. I was billeted at the central tower on a high floor with a huge window overlooking Tokyo Bay and part of ZOZO Marine Stadium and ZOZO Park Honda Football Field. Room is bigger compared to APA Hotels I stayed at in Tokyo and Kyoto, but still with the same compact, modular like toilet and bath. Lawson's at the second floor is open 24-hours so you can readily buy snacks or stuffs you need. 2 Onsens were free to use for hotel guests as well as an outside pool. Guests were congregating at Lawson even at half past 8 in the evening before making their way to the Onsen. Breakfast buffet was adequate with mix of Asian and western cuisine, but eating it at the top floor with expansive view of the city and the sea 'elevated' the experience. Free scheduled shuttle service until midday from the hotel front to the nearest train station (for onward travellers going to Tokyo or elsewhere) was a big help as it's a considerable walk particularly if you're tugging a big luggage. I would recommend a 2-3 day stay here, no more than that, precisely because of proximity reasons to other tourist attractions.

"With its state-of-the-art facilities, friendly personnel, and luxurious accommodations, APA Hotel & Resort Tokyo Bay Makuhari provides an amazing experience. Situated close to points of interest, it's a great option for a relaxing and joyful trip."

This is a great location to stay if you're attending any exhibition at the Makuhari Messe. Other than that, not recommended. Roomsv(12 or 13sqm) are really really tiny. I had no space to fully open my luggage and ended up using the table as a luggage rack. The toilet also lacks proper ventilation. Your rooms will not be cleaned daily from Oct 1, 2023 and I think there are separate charges for room cleaning service. As for the onsen...... Overall, if you're like me, attending a convention, I doubt you'll have time to look at their onsen. I was there for 5 days and didn't even use it once! The bridge on 2nd floor links directly to the Makuhari Messe Hall 8, so it's extremely convenient. There's also a 24hr Lawson convenience store on the 2nd floor. Paid Laundry room on the 3rd floor (which is very very busy all the time)

Staff speaks English Has washer and dryer Ice Machine IMPORTANT: Hotel is located right in front of the bus shuttle to the Narita and Haneda Airport. Perfect way to end the trip without having to drag my luggage across the train station.

You get what you pay for, nothing fancy but the rooms were clean. Takes a while to get to many of the Tokyo districts from the hotel. There is a very handy airport shuttle service. The express checkout service was very convenient.

Excellent value for the money! Only regret is I didn't get to stay longer than two nights and utilize all the amenities. Staff Check-in was seamless, except for the person who forgot their passport, which was resolved by filling out a form. Clean everything, including rooms; comfortable beds, a bit small, but consistent with other hotels. I'd say the breakfast buffet was worth it's, esp for the convenience and selection. Not comfortable yet with public baths, esp naked ones...just a cultural thing. Great selection of restaurants from which to choose convenience store without elevated prices. Conveniently located to shopping, business district, and public transportation.

Located at a convenient distance from Makuhari messe convention centre. Easy to reach at meetings in few minutes. One more thing a mesmerizing view of city from restaurant at top of the building.

This was my first trip to Japan March 2023 for Sakura season, and Apa Hotel was the best part. After a long day of discovery to come back to a place of clean environment, safe space, and the bathhouse was wonderful. I am going to come back to this hotel. Customer service was great, patient, and very helpful. You won't regret your stay here.

Great place to stay for Tokyo Game Show. However, the rooms are pretty small.

One of the best hotels where I have stayed. The only con that I found was the size of the room. I am 191 cm tall and the room where I stayed was really small. Morning buffets are absolutely delicious and people who cook food there are very kind and friendly. Also, I recommend coming to the 50th floor and checking out amazing view.

Wired LAN in rooms worked without issue (cable in room). Wi-Fi also available. Rooms in the Central Tower are a bit dated, but the view is spectacular and you can't ask for more for the inexpensive price.

2/2022 for the Supermarket Trade Show. It was a very nice stay! Almost perfect room, loved it. The only downside was the interesting faucet that was probably broken (-it could only go at maximum water pressure, lol. I know I could have called, but the first few hours, I just thought it would take me a few more tries to figure it out... By the time I was convinced it was broken, my things were all over the place and I didn't want to move rooms. So if you feel like it might possibly be broken, I recommend you just call and make sure.) Also interesting were the weird nationalistic books that are apparently characteristic of the APA hotels, lol. Some reviews mention water- if it's your first time in Japan, it might be good to know you can generally drink the tap water here (though taste differs from place to place). Personally, I liked the thin pillows :p Just call the front desk if you want a different type. Would love to stay again next year!

The rooms were a bit dated and smelled a bit funky. The onsen in the 4th floor was very nice. The views were nice from the room.

It is rather distant (>10 min walk) from the station but that is about the only negative factor. This is a huge facility with thousands of rooms. Lots of group travelers. Be sure to download the app prior to arrival -- check-in can be lengthy without it. Room is small but efficient and has everything you need. Nice huge public bath, multiple restaurants, two convenience stores. Dominos and other food delivery services can be ordered.

I have been coming here for 2 years. Last weekend was the first time that I got both a deluxe room and the buffet dinner. Everything was great. The bath facilities and the rotenburo we're great. My wife and I will definitely go back there again.

I stayed here for my work-cation. Good Wifi speed. Room was quiet and clean. The view was fantastic! There are many baths and they are all great. They have two Lawson in the hotel. I went for walk along the beach and at parks, enjoy shopping after work. Great location for work-cation. I want to come back again!!

APA Hotel and Resort Tokyo Bay gave us a room with very short notice due to a flight cancellation. The service was, friendly, efficient, and welcoming. The amenities were everything we read about online and we were delighted to explore everything they have to offer here from the variety of food, spas, pools, baths, and amusements, as well as the great location near a garden with teahouse, the beach, a train station, outlet mall, and more all within a few minutes walking distance. Very relaxing and delightful stay.

We came here for an event and we had a pleasant nice stay here. The hotel is huge and a bit difficult to find the way but the nice staff helps you. Around the hotel is a nice park and the beach area is nearby.

For the price, it's hard to imagine a better deal than the basic rooms at this resort. The staff was extremely helpful in getting me checked in and getting my bags shipped to my next hotel at the end of my stay. The public baths are well maintained, clean, and have a great variety of temperatures and styles. This hotel has helped cure my jetlag on two trips to Japan now. Overall, I can't think of a better place to start a trip to Tokyo, if you're like me and need a couple days to settle in.

I loved my at APA resort Makuhari. The sea view from hotel window is amazing and staff are courteous. And its very close to exhibition center and walking distance from station and Mitsui shopping outlet.

The hotel is in a great location, close to Tokyo Bay and Tokyo Disneyland. The room we have is on the 22nd floor with a view over the Bay. There is a very small clothes closet and nothing else to put clothes in. But it is very clean and we had a nice size bathroom.

  • 4/5 Patrick S. 1 year ago on Google
Overall the hotel is quite good, only the rooms would need some refurbishing. However everything was clean. The rooms are not big, so better take a higher category room. I had a corner deluxe room and would not want to have had a smaller room. The breakfast is quite good, but it can get quite busy there, so better either come early or late. The public bath on the 4 th floor is nice. They change the sides for men and women every day so can enjoy both baths which are slightly different. The location is perfect if you are there for an exhibition. The hotel can easily be reached by the airport bus from Narita. From Tokyo station the JR line can be used which stops about 700m from the hotel.

Pretty good hotel, and value for money. Quite affordable rates. This hotel is about 30 min outside of Tokyo by train, and less than 10 min walk from the nearest JR station. It's located near the convention centre, thus this hotel has hundreds of rooms. Rooms are standard Japanese hotel rooms, don't expect a lot of space. Check-in experience was quite awful and did not go smooth. The staff's English proficiency was very basic and you may experience some frustration. There are two Lawson's located inside the hotel, and many restaurants. However, one of the restaurants was temporarily closed until further notice. Unfortunately, I did not get to try the buffet on the 49th floor as they only accepted cash, and had no ability to process credit cards or charge to your room. There is a nice bar on the 50th floor with nice views which I did enjoy. At the time of my stay in May, I was disappointed that the pool was not open and was not filled. The hotel does have a total of 3 onsens, one in each west and east wing, and the central tower. The onsens are open until 2am. Some floors are smoking so be aware of which kind of room you are booking. Rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels are always provided whether you have displayed a "no cleaning today" sign or not. The Zozo Stadium is located directly across the street, so I would highly recommend going to see a baseball game if schedule permits.

Shower was dirty. Long black hair all around. Pink mold on the shower head. Complained to the staff at the front desk. Nothing was done. No one came to check the room. No discount offered. 18,000 yen per night for a disgusting shower, and the public baths were closed, so no other option. I stay here once a year, but will use the New Ohtani from next year.
