Nice atmosphere with good music. The owner is very friendly and capable for English and little Spanish. If you’re looking for casual place for drink, here is good bar to try. Pretty popular among locals and foreigners. Honestly the cocktail itself are not well made, so I put 3stars for this time. (If you’re looking for romantic and quality cocktails, maybe better look different place.)

Welcoming bar for travelers with games and such to entertain. Bartenders were friendly. Pretty small so it gets the good kind of crowded. Smokey for those sensitive. Felt the 600yen seating charge was not clearly identified. Good bar but a high four rating might be pushing it.

I came here alone on a Wednesday night and ended up having a great time. All of the locals inside either spoke English or were in the process of learning it, so we had a little lesson over drinks. Nice bar snacks and reasonable prices (600 jpy for shochu). I wasn’t charged a cover of any kind—just the price of the drinks.

This bar is fantastic. I highly recommend. The master is a well-traveled, multilingual genius with delicious cocktails and great atmosphere. If you're looking for an easy door to Kanazawa, this is a great place. The name, tobira, even means door! I recommend the Dug's nose!

A great environment with lots of games and a very worldly owner that loves a chat and helps bring people at the bar together in fun conversation. Be aware though he will definitely hustle you in connect 4! Almost cost him a star if he didn't let my girlfriend win which totally got me laid

Stumbled upon this bar on their ESL night and oh my goodness, it was so much fun! Everyone was really inclusive, it had a really friendly vibe and the drinks were good. Osugi-san is a great bar tender and there was non-stop lively conversation. Definitely recommend for a low-key but cozy and entertaining night.

Had an amazing night in this very friendly bar. I only spent 3 days in Kanazawa but this has been one of my favorite moments. The bar owner is super friendly, speaks good english and is very keen on talking with his patrons. We spent the night playing games and converse about japanese and french cultures, it was very pleasant!
