Brilliant company. My husband, I don’t think would of survived pneumonia without their help 24/7. We will certainly be using them for our next trip to Maderia and thoroughly recommend them.

We called upon this excellent service in an emergency and they attended later that same morning. Both the doctor and the nurse were caring and highly professional. They diagnosed the problem virtually immediately and sorted the necessary medication. A stellar performance by any measure and would happily use again.

We cannot recommend Safe Away highly enough. For several years they have provided us with professional services over an extended period in Madeira. These have included treatment for a broken arm, assessment and medication for various infections and the renewal of prescriptions. Safe Away has become essential to our sense of security and as we get older our family really appreciate this safety net.

Being away from home is weakening, especially when you need urgent medical help during a weekend night. The rapid intervention of a Safe Away emergency team at 4 a.m. in my hotel room, followed by additional care provided to me the same day at the Hospital Particular Madeira in direct contact with the specialist doctor in ophthalmology at the Madeira Medical Center in Funchal saved my transplanted eye, recently operated on in France. The excellent coordination of the 3 links in the medical chain has proven to be very effective. Their very professional approach brought me essential human comfort and achieved optimal results. Mission accomplished. I will retain the use of my eye in danger. THANKS !

My wife and I came down with Covid symptoms, as was confirmed by Claudia, the nurse from Safe Away. Dr Sara Silva came promptly and prescribed drugs - and five days quarantine! We are slowly getting better since our return to the UK and were very impressed by the service from Safe Away (Waiting to hear if our travel insurance agree with the value for money!)

Just used Safe Away for some infected bites. Great service, were at villa I'm staying at within an hour. Doctor and nurse who arrived were both incredibly friendly and informative. Fairly priced for the level of service received.

We came into contact with Safeaway by chance and were very satisfied. My wife was vomiting all day and was very unwell. The doctor and a nurse from Safeaway were at the hotel with another patient and came to see us afterwards when we asked at reception. A very detailed anamnesis and examination followed, all vital signs were recorded as well as the patient's history. Both employees were very, very friendly and competent. Price-performance ratio is perfectly fine. We can only recommend Safeaway! Thank you very much for the great service!

Unfortunately, we have had to make use of Safe Away's service during our recent holiday to Madeira. Everybody involved in the process helped to ensure my husband was looked after professionally and quickly. We had several visits from doctors and nurses, both while we were at a hotel, but then also when we returned to our home apartment. I cannot recommend them highly enough, and will be passing on their details to all of our friends and family. Special thanks go to (and I hope I have remembered all the names correctly), Dr Sara, Claudio, Claudia, Pedro, and another doctor, but forgive me for not remembering his name). I hope our medical insurance proves to be as professional and easy to deal with now that we're back home in the UK.

It is an amazing service which I experienced firsthand in Madeira. It was properly and efficiently scheduled. The nurse Claudia who came five times to see me at two different hotels was so professional, highly experienced, and very committed. Her caring attitude made all the difference and my wound has been healing rapidly due to her dedication. Can’t thank her enough and feel very grateful to the entire team from Safe Away. I had Covid symptoms and needed a PCR test. Since my travel agency's hotline wasn't working, I asked the hotel for help. These connected me to Safeaway. Their nurse Joana was in my hotel room within half an hour. Very fast! She carried out the test very sensitively. After a few hours I had the result. I remained in isolation and on Monday I booked a doctor's appointment using the Safeaway app. This also happened very quickly. The doctor Sara and the nurse Claudia were there about 1 1/2 hours later. They were very friendly, asked the right questions, listened well and were able to calm me down. She prescribed me more painkillers. Since I was alone in Madeira, you also picked them up and delivered them, again through Joana. I also received a doctor's report and a doctor's certificate for the employer by email. We spoke in English, which wasn't a problem for me. Maybe Safeaway would even have German-speaking employees? So I'm excited and wonder if there's something like that for travelers in Switzerland.
