This is a great find. We walked the back streets of Funchal and came across this small local bar away from the tourist areas. Very friendly owners/service, tasty free tapas with the drink. Great music. We loved it, will definitely be back!

Great little local pub!!! Great service and the always bring out complimentary appetizers!!! Super clean restrooms and overall facilities. Four to five tables outside!! Oh did I fore... super cheap!!!

Very friendly bar there you order something to drink for almost no money at all and get such tasty tapas on the table for free. Can't stop returning to this hidden gem in Funchal.

Family owned cosy bar with super friendly owners. Very nice poncha and Madeira rum. Open until late night (not common in Funchal). Highly recommended.

Vielleicht kommt man gerade von einer Wanderung der Levada Pornais oder man hat gerade den naheliegenden, sehr interessanten Friedhof besucht. Dem kommt diese Snack Bar gerade recht. Recht unscheinbar ohne großes Namenschild, allerdings mit ein paar außenliegenden Tischen. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich, die Preise moderat. Cerveca sem Alkol gibt es nur als Tonica. Ansonsten wird hier einiges an Rotwein ausgeschenkt. Scheint zu munden. Ich habe ein Sandes diverses probiert. Sehr lecker und leicht bekömmlich mit Schinken, Käse und Tomate. Gerne sitzt man hier authentisch mit meist Einheimischen. Guten Appetit.

Always friendly service in this very local bar. Prices are low and dentinhos are amazing. Below is a picture of a cold codfish salad.
