Firstly sorry for very late review, as I love to review this place in Madeira. We stopped here on our way back to hotel and stayed until closing. Bar has absolutely most amazing staff, great service,very friendly and knowledgeable. My Hendricks Gin & Tonic was made to perfection and I must say never had better. As is not only about putting together gin and tonic, but about the mixology and staff here know what they do. My huge and Biggest Thank to all staff who worked : Elmano David Elsa Spinola You are all superstar!! Was absolutely pleasure to meeting you all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Been here a few times..Google reviews get confused with a far bigger bar up the hill towards the hotel district ( pub no 2) . This is the smaller bar no 2 near the cabel car. Very good Poncha and Prego. Great staff. Love the tangerine poncha.Very popular. Good vibe. Part of out 2023 greatest hits "last night" tour.

It's exactly what it should be. Nothing fancy, but solid food and great bartenders. The prego, the hamburgers, and stackers are all perfectly done on bolo da caco bread. Wide variety of drink options in a neighborhood pub atmosphere

The service is really bad! The waiters are rude and not very attentive. You have to go and look for them if you want to order. However, I am giving 3 stars for the nice terrace and good sandwiches. Ponca was also medium quality.

Just across the road from our hotel and we popped in most of our holiday for lunch and drinks. Food was toasted sandwiches were freshly made and very tasty and at great prices. Poncha was freshly made and had lots of flavours. The staff were super friendly and really great to talk to. Great atmosphere day or night.

So here’s a list for you: It has a TERRIBLE environment; The Poncha was a joke, plain orange juice; Bartenders were very rude, avoidant, and would spill drinks constantly; The music way too loud unnecessarily; We got harassed by the small GeorgeConstanza DJ when trying to get to the bathroom, aggressively claiming and screaming we weren't clients and therefore couldn’t use it, making a scene. All in all a huge lack of professionalism and consideration for their clients, making you feel ignored and unwelcome. There are better places in Madeira. Dont get fooled by drunk reviews.

Went several times while staying in Funchal. Great bar. Brilliant atmosphere. Excellent staff and service. Great music. Really enjoyed trying all the different flavoured Ponchas.. xx

delicious poncha which is really cheap and with good measures of alcohol in it too (i think €3 or €3.50). really good music playing with a DJ that takes request. great atmosphere and fun for a dance. gets quite busy

Great spot for a cheap but good quality lunch. The steak sandwich is 3.50, smothered in garlic butter and huge for the money. 5 gets you cheese, ham, tomato and salad inside. Lots of poncha flavours, right next to the sea.

We were there in the evening. Even though there were a lot of people, we managed to find a table. There is a lot of confusion and noise in the place. We tried Poncha's selection to taste, but later we chose mohito. Prices are probably ok for such a location.

Ordered 3 drinks just to quickly drink and go to walk by the port. It took them 25minutes to deliver 3 drinks while not being extremely busy. The waiter forgot one of our drinks and came back basically barking what we wanted for that one drink he was unsure of. Then didn’t brink any peanuts of anything while all the other tables with drinks had some. Once I asked to pay I was forgotten until another waiter came to ask how are we doing. The drinks were average and the atmosphere there was nice, bit I can’t really say I felt welcome there.

Really nice drinks. Freshly made ponchas and the mojito i outstanding. Try out their nikita poncha. Wine, beer icecream and more. Highly recommend a visit day as night. The staff are very correct and know their stuff.

Very good poncha and decent choices of flavours. Slightly pricier than any other place in Madeira. Service was ok, although I got a scolded for feeding the pigeons (I was not) as they were hopping onto the tables.

We had great fun here on our last Saturday in Madeira, staying from about 11pm - 2.30 am! The drinks were great and the music and DJ even better. We had fun dance offs with locals to the classic songs and made new friends. Kudos to the DJ for always recognising the vibe of the crowd depending on different crowds! The cocktails and nikita were great!

Very nice atmosphere with kind and helpful staff. We tried the local poncha and local beer Coral. I would recommend this place.

The waiter didn't add 1 drink on my bill. I paid my bill....and he told me I tricked him and put all the blame on me. This is your fault. The waiter (you) is responsible for making the bill, not me. This is your responsibility to make a good bill. If anyone is guilty - that is YOU. I advise against visiting this restaurant.

Popular bar to watch the world walk by. Located close to cable car and bus terminal (ideal for when you miss the bus). Friendly staff and a great atmosphere with a wide range of reasonably priced drinks.

A great little bar near the cable car. We were introduced to it via a food walk otherwise looks much like many others. The poncho is excellent very authentic and made to order in front of you. Prices very reasonable. Hardworking staff. Well worth a visit.

The best Poncha in Madeira....traditionally made, just heaven in your mouth... Highly recommended! Fantastic atmosphere, family run business!

Had our first Ponchas here. They were wonderful. Had been advised to try the passion fruit or orange first and they really did taste great. Will take guests here.

Very good priced poncha. The owner makes it in front of you and is super friendly. You also get free tapas which is very nice, cannot complain, great for a few drinks.
