After we checked some reviews we had to try Indian Palace. With no booking we were accomadated by very friendly staff. Food excellent 👌 and reasonable prices. The restaurant was soon full. We highly recommended this hidden gem in Madeira.

So many Indian places to choose from, this one came highly recommended. Great staff, nice location but wish flavors were a bit more powerful, I asked for spicy and it wasn't at all. Price is fair and portions good size.

Very good service provided by the staff. All portions were introduced nicely without taking too much time. This Indian restaurant is one the best I have dined so far. The tastes of Chicken Pahira, Nan garlic bread and mango lassi were excellent. I seldom praise a restaurant in this. I did not opt a lunch menu, I went with a la carte menu. Highly recommend.

A beautiful Indian meal shared by me and my girlfriend at this restaurant, our favourite food in Madeira on our trip thus far. 5 stars for food, lovely welcoming staff and value. We ordered starters, with 2 curry’s spiced perfectly to our liking - the lamb was beautifully tender along with the perfect Pilau rice and naan bread. When we return to Madeira we will be sure to return to this restaurant.

We were there pretty late, basically just one hour before closing time and although the staff was already preparing the reastaurant for the next day, we were served immediately and very politely. The selection of food is authentic and prepared to match the level of "hotness" that the customer describes. Very tasy and very well executed - definitely a place to check out when in the area!

All 5 stars as it was amazing. This place not only delivers authentic Indian food outside of India, but the attention to every customers needs is second to none. From the guidance of how hot or spicy you want it, down to telling you how they get it like it. First rate customer service. IF YOU COME TO FUNCHAL. Then come here, the best food we've had all week. Can't praise it enough.

Amazingly delicious food with excellent service, and pricing was exceptional for the quality of the overall experience. They were willing to make dishes exactly to our specifications, even dishes not on the menu. I highly recommend this restaurant, a real gem on the island. Thank you for making my birthday (and all our other visits) really wonderful. We will be back many times in the future.

Everything was perfect from ordering table to the last bite. The location is great, food is the best indian food we've had abroud and the service was 100% professional but still so warm and welcoming. A place that we will remember as one of highlights from our Madeira trip.

Indian Palace was a gem. The food was amazing (maybe even the best we had in Madeira), the service is on par with high-end restaurants, the staff is very friendly as well as professional. Overall if you are looking for a fine dining experience without the poshness, and you love Indian food, this is the place for you. We came in without a reservation, but wouldn’t advise on that, the place got crowded fast.

Lovely curry and friendly service. Was very filling and I definitely ordered way too much, even if the price didn't really reflect that! The prawn jafrezi was amazing, and the cheese naan was definitely worth it. My partner have chicken tikka masala and really enjoyed it. This restaurant was definitely nut allergy friendly, with only one dish actually having nuts in it.

Amazing smiling staff, fast service& generous portions. We ordered a lamb bhuna and a lamb biryani rich in flavours - both dishes with the naan were delicious ! Highly recommend this place !

THE BEST INDIAN FOOD IVE EVER HAD. Literally just had dishoom in London a couple days ago and this trumps that by a mile (although dishoom was very good too). The flavors are so intense, and rich. They gave free pappadum and sauces which were so delicious. Get the butter chicken it’s the best I’ve ever had. The owner is so kind and welcoming too, and the waiters are so nice. This is our second day in a row here and we might go for a third time 😅

I had dinner here and i was amazed by the authenticity of the cuisine, I really didn’t expect something like this on an Island in Portugal. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Indian/pakistani flavour.

Outstanding Indian food with service to match and a view of the ocean. We had Chicken Pathi and Tandoori Chicken Tikka which were flavorful and exceeded our expectations. The Indian Palace was accommodating with a gluten allergy and served gluten free Nan upon request!

Amazing food, lovely friendly people and service and atmosphere. You don't feel rushed to finish, would highly recommend, husband had prawns, he said best he's ever had, I had lamb delicious 😋

The food was just unbelievable. There were 7 of us who ate different things with different spices and each person absolutely LOVED their dish. Cant recommend this place enough. The spices and meat were cooked to perfection as well as all the naan bread.

Everything was great. Very delicious food. They give us starters very fast. Waiters ware very lovely. They have a scale of spice. I ordered 6,5/10 and for my taste what was great. They gave us complements from some kind of bread and sauces and after dinner they gave us a wine of Madeira.

Wow! The food here is fantastic. I'm glad I followed the reviews and visited. We didn't book but were lucky to get a seat as it filled up quickly. As a starter, we enjoyed the poppadoms and 5 dips. I had the Chicken Karahi and it was gorgeous. My husband enjoyed the Jalfrazi and we both shared mushroom rice and the best peshwari naan I've ever eaten. Top class service and a very welcoming host. £40 including tip.

We have been to several of the Indian restaurants in the old town. First visit to the Palace. Lovely clean and fresh interior with a few outdoor balcony seats.. it is firmly old school menu. The UK revolution has yet to land. I love the challenge of a new dish / genuine Chef special. It is very good as a trad Indian food outlet. Sizzlers seem popular. I always suspect the chef would love to be let off the leash. Tima says gorgeous lamb and great naan...well done and crispy. Enjoyed the visit. Good value @ 43€ all in.

I'm not a curry connoisseur but I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this meal, and the much more experienced curry fanatics with me shared how much they also loved this meal. The Chicken Tika starter was really tasty followed by a super creamy and enjoyable Tika masala main dish. I also found the nan bread to be very soft and tasty. It was very clear that the use fresh products are care alot about their food. We were given poppadoms on the house which everyone thoroughly enjoyed with a wide variety of dips to go along with them. Genuinely wish we visited this place earlier in our holiday so we could visit again. We were lucky to get a seat so would recommend booking.

Everything was perfect! The food and service were incredible. We arrived one hour before they closed but they were kind enough to take our orders. We were seated in the balcony with a really nice view. Fish vindaloo was our favourite and yes it is spicy! Cheese and garlic naans were also very tasty. They have the best mango lassi. We also thank the staff who made our dining experience even more memorable. They suggested us where to visit in Madeira and so on, very kind of them. Would go back again in the future.

First time in an Indian restaurant but we enjoyed the meal. They have option of how spicy the food should be. We ordered for 4 persons but it was too much. The staff is nice and helpful.

Nice food, nice people, nice price. The menu and food are very much like a typical curry house in England, rather than India, but that's ok as we like both. Sorry no photo of the food, just the remains, we ate it 😀.

Only been on Madeira since Monday but have already been to this restaurant twice. Great fresh and very tasty food, excellent choice of wines and other alcoholic drinks at very reasonable prices. I doubt tonight will be our last visit

Best indian food I can recommend with good and natural ingredients and very tasty. Warm and friendly service. We had two different tandoori flavors of chicken.

Excellent food. Would have looked better inside with more colour and better lighting. To me a sign of a good Indian restaurant is one where they ask you how you would like your curry spiced. Hot, med, low. Service was excellent. If you able to I would strongly advise you pay the Indian Palace a visit.

Opens for over 6 years and now I can taste why.. So delicious. Haven’t had good Indian in a long time and this palace succeeded in playing some very flavorful Dal Fry and Spicy Rice. Will be coming back and recommending to others in the area. 👍🏻

Before i ordered my chicken Biryani, kindly asked them to cook it medium spicy. I explained what colour of rice i expect, to have it spicy but eatable. When they brought my meal it looked as it should and later taste also made me feel like in Mumbai. After i finished my meal i still could feel spiciness on my throat, the sign that I've received proper Biryani. Thank you!

Really nice Indian restaurant that we visited 3 times during our stay food cooked fresh and piping hot. Very reasonable for what you get. Staff attentive but not overly so. Will be back in the future.
