Local craft beer from Madeira is rare, so I was very happy to find this restaurant and brewery. They have a quite wide selection of their own beer. Nothing to complain about but also not amazing (sorry).

Visited here twice while recently in Funchal on holiday. As I like craft beers, I tried their beer tasting option(flight) with 5 different beers and a separate 5 beers on the 2nd visit along with a scabbard fish sandwich in local bread. The beers were brewed on site. Staff were excellent, and the bar overlooked the marina with loads of outdoor seating. I recommend a visit.

Just arrived in Madeira, after a good lunch and a nice walk we were looking for a place where to sit and enjoy a good beer looking at the ocean. Beerhouse was perfect! On the harbor, beautiful view and incredible wide choice of beers and drinks. Perfect also if you are looking to have lunch or dinner. There’s also the chance for a beer tasting. Pretty nice location to relax drinking good beers!

They have a good selection of own brewed beer. The price for the standard one's are to high. The reason for only 3 star is the atmosphere and the service. Both okay but nothing special. Definitely a recommendation for beer lover's.

First visit for us all to the Craft Brewery. Cards on the table; I am a lover of traditional British Real Ale rather than fizzy beer..no matter how it is produced. When abroad Craft beer is usually twice / thrice the price of mass produced local fizzy beer. Also Craft Brewers love to make really strong beer for people who sip small glasses rather than down pint after pint. So this is a nice place and is also a restaurant with great views of the cruise terminal. Madge ordered a brown ale. Very good and only about 5.7%!! One of their weaker brews. No way Madge could sup a gallon of this. Worth giving it a go. You might even meet passengers off the ships.

It's in the middle of marina bay with great view of the city. Great food and plenty of different beers to order. Tuna steak is perfect! Also try their Bolo do caco (garlic bread). It's little pricy, main food is around 15€ and sides are around 5€ but we found similar prices in a lot of different places in Funchal that were not that great.

Very nice environment (next to the harbour), very delicious food (we had lapas and spaghetti with lobster and prawns), very generous amount of prawns and lobster ( we shared them as the starter and main meal). The service is superlative! Highly recommended.

Very professional well run place and friendly people, excellent choice of craft beer as well as lots of other drinks. Didn’t eat here but the meals looked great. Lovely views of the harbour and Funchal across the water. Definitely recommended.

If you are looking for a good evening for a drink, it is a great place because the list of the drinks is very long, get what you want baby 😀. What about food - it is more to accompany drinks rather than have as a dinner meal because of the choices. Staff is nice and everything was served kinda fast compared to the most Madeiran restaurants.

We only went here for the craft beer (twice) and haven’t tried the food. But if you like different styles of beers this is a good place to go. LOTS of their own brews in different styles. Location in the harbour with the cruise ships close by and seeing them leave in sunset is breathtaking.

Plenty of delicious brews from onsite brewery. Downtown waterfront setting is a great stop.

We only had drinks there and took the beer tasting set including 5 different craft beers. On the picture you can see only 4 gasses as I just broke the 5th but they gave us a new one free of charge. The place seemed lively and the staff was friendly.

Tasted more than 5 samples from their brewery. First of all terrible name for the brewery “Beerhouse”, catchy for tourists got it, but without any potential to other markets. Their beer is below average even “local” Coral is more drinkable. I would only pinpoint one beer, Hipnose IPA, their only competent beer. Anyway good prices and location.

I love this place - it has such a great location and yet the prices are extremely reasonable The beef skewer (espetada) is served the traditional way on wooden bay laurel sticks and the flavour is amazing. I’ve tried two of the rice stews - prawn and lobster was ok but a little bland and the lobster was overcooked, prawn and monkfish was much better with perfectly cooked fish and more flavour. These are perfect for 2 to share Had the wonderfully light passion fruit pudding as well on my last visit I also love that they serve half bottles of Mateus rose, great for two! But the best thing about it is the view looking back at Funchal bay, especially once the sun goes down

In all the many years I have been here I don't know why we have never eaten in this restaurant before. The food was excellent and the beer, selected by our waitress, delicious. Very good timing before the Orchestral concert at The Congress.

We had drinks here on a couple of occasions. Overall great service and really cool views from the outdoor seating area. Beers could have been better, especially at this pricepoint. And local drinks like poncha are also generally nicer at the various bars in the town. However, for the views you get and the different atmosphere, this place is definitely worth going to. Just know that you'll have to pay a bit more and occasionally the quality won't be as good as what you might get in other bars.

Restaurant is located beautiful place. 3/4 of our group got food what were cold already. The way how staff handled this case was brilliant!! Restaurant manager came and told how sorry he was that food was cold. He asked what they can do that we are pleased. We changed meal another option and we got also free drinks etc... This place gave so good example how to handle claims and how to fix if something is wrong. We got good customer experience. We will recommend this place, if you want good food and good service!

Excellent location and lengthy drinks menu. Did not eat there, but one drink was enough. Unlike other restaurants and bars on the island staff were especially friendly or helpful. Drinks not particularly cheap either. Overall we were disappointed.

Nice casual place for beers and food. The grilled calamari, chicken and mussels were okay.

Best recommendations for dinner with friends, to grab some beer with snacks and enjoy ocean view. Staff was very polite. Recommendation to try traditional Nikita coctail and beer tasting kit.

Very good atlantic fish soup. Perfect view. Lots of beers to taste, which are made locally. Great staff.

Slightly ho hum tourist experience on the front by the harbour. Huge beer choice but the IPA we chose was pretty dire and at 'good quality homebrew' standard. I had the Mexican burger which was pleasant, not a terrible price but nothing really to write home about either. Fine to drop by, pleasant and plentiful seating outside, but nothing terribly exciting here.

Moderate. Food was ok, fish (espada with bananas) and grilled meats tasty but not extremely delicious. Nice poncha. Beautiful view on the bay. Staff was ok, but not really helping, speaking english on a very low level. Summarizing - not really special.

This is a super cool place to enjoy a beer or eat. Its in a prominent position on the port, and the outside drinking area has a distinct Ibiza feel about it, with comfortable and relaxing places to sit and enjoy a drink. Food is served, and it’s pretty good too, but there is no pressure to eat. We were made very welcome when we arrived and simply asked for a couple of drinks. As it happens, we did decide to eat there and in fact, if we hadn’t a plane to catch could easily have withered away the entire afternoon. My wife had the beef on skewer and it was amazing. I ordered the lamb cutlets and they were only okay - hence the 4 stars rather than 5. Given its proximity to the port, i imagine there are time when its heaving with people stretching their legs off the cruises, although the day I was there it was only half full and very easy going.

We stopped for a lunch. A good selection of beer, fish menu, there are meat dishes. Excellent views of the city and the marina. The service is professional, fast. A small minus for the fish soup - there were a lot of onions, but as it turned out - these are local traditions (a lot of onions) :)
