Staying nearby . Handy for a drink . A bit of a mix-up with drink orders , a scottish accent problem, nice pub friendly staff

Being there for dinner, due to my hotel nearby. Looks like an Irish pub but they have a big selection of Madeira food, such us famous tuna which I really recommend to try. Nice decoration of the dish and reasonable prices

We walked passed this place all week because we thought it was a sports pub, but its fabulous! Not only is the food delicious and well presented, its reasonable in price and they offer tje type of food you don't see in this area much. We were lucky enough to stumble on their South American night and I had a beautiful tuna ceviche. Its very popular with locals and deservedly so. We're going again tomorrow.

All was good! portions are really big, appetizers are perfect and can be shared. And I recommend to try cocktails.

Much, much better than I expected. Nice chilled atmosphere with plenty of locals, very friendly and efficient staff. Background music better than most places and the food was good too. Recommended.

Amazing place! Best poncha I have tasted on whole island. Furthermore tasty meals, marvelous burgers in good prices. Everything is topped by friendly staff. My favourite local on whole Madeira. Can clearly recommend to everyone!

We spent two nights in the white house. Service and music are perfect. People working there are very gentle and helpful. The beer is very good and the mojito too.

Came here twice. Great food and drinks. Friendly staff. Would've wished to get the tuna medium and not well done.

Madge picked out our first evening bar crawl in Madeira 2023. So far very good. Without planning we would never walk up the short hill to this lovely bar. Great terrace and lovely interior. Great staff. Only here for the beer ( not Double Diamond..look it up..terrible 1970's beer and beer commercial.) Tima actually having bramble gin and Sprite but Madge sticking to a pint of Super Bock. Must return. Just gone 7pm and filling up. Good value. 9.50€

We came to this restaurant by accident after a long, tiring flight, looking for a place where we could eat anything. It was past midnight so most of the nearby restaurants were closed. Marla greeted us kindly, assuring that we can definitely eat something im peace. This pub turned out to be a bull's-eye!!? We returned to this place every evening. Delicious food, smiling, friendly and funny staff, and low, competitive prices in relation to other restaurants. One of our favorite places on the culinary map of Funchal. Best wishes to Marla and the funny dark-haired guy (unfortunately we don't know his name). 😃😃 Miss this place already!

Great stop for lunch today, really tasty burger, rosemary fries, and red coleslaw, all presented nicely....topped off with Coral stout for me and Coral pilsner for the hubby....we were both V.happy....and pleasant service by our waiter.

Inside the pub feels a real mood o Irish pub, but no blackcurrant juice for Guinness is shameful. Also very sticky floor in bathrooms wasn't user friendly :-( Burgers, other drinks like poncha are OK as well as a friendly and good looking (girls opinion) big boy waiter :-)

This is a proper pub if you like your sport and don't mind a bit of smoke. The food menu is of a very high standard .

Fantastic pub, with live premier league football. Great friendly service and top notch food. Much better than the typical sports bar, definitely the place to go for a great match night, lots of fans, with a really great atmosphere.

The food is very tasty, I would recommend pork Ribs. Waiters very kind and fast serving.

This was the only restaurant where we ate twice during our one week Madeira holiday. Well, it's technically a pub, but they have very good food, and not only pub food. There are several vegan dishes on the menu (filling superfood salad, curry with tofu, etc.). Sandwiches, burgers, soups tasted great. We also tried the beef steak as well as the tuna steak (the later comes with healthy yet filling sides like sweet potato puree and roasted broccoli). Everyone was satisfied from our group. Even my 62 old mum liked it, despite the fact that it's a pub :)

I had a wonderful dining experience at the With House Restaurant. The food was absolutely divine, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was charming and added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. I highly recommend this restaurant for a delightful dining experience!

Really nice place to stop for a drink or meal..we love the outside patio,as we can watch the World go by. Nicole who served us is extremely helpful,friendly and professional,...and is fluent in English if you need to communicate. This was our 4th visit today. Visit #5... Excellent food we had 3 Prego(frying steak in a double bap)..D Licious!Great flavour and excellent value for money.We were served by Pedro and Nicole who were absolutely brilliant, professional,and friendly,communicative,beyond the call of duty.Truly a credit to themselves and the owner of this welcoming pub.

Very good burgers and sandwiches, also have spaghetti and others. Prices are adequate. At 15.30 it was empty, so good choice for late lunch.

It is a nice place to eat. During one week we have visited it twice. Unfortunately it is not opened on Sunday. The food is very tasty 🤤 The waiters speak excellent English and have sense of humor. Thank you!

Fantastic local place - best food I've had in a long time and that's including lisbon, it's priced really fairly also! The crispy scabbard fish dish is something to behold, you won't be hungry and you may just feel you have to come back - we did! Friendly customer service, just double check your order with them before. They also show sports (we watched champions league football) with great TVs!

One of the best fish and chips i ever had! Chips with rosemary were amazing, local fish in very crispy batter and interesting passionfruit aioli. Normally i don't eat mushy peas, but here they were really great. My bff ordered wings and they were tasting bad with chemical sauce. Its worth of visiting, if you choose right dishes.

Good calamari and a few beers but they totally forgot my main course which was said by the waiter to be very good.... Well, I had to even ask another waiter for my 2nd beer 'cause it was forgotten, too. Great pub, lousy service.

Such a great place! They serve food until SUPER late at night always with a smile on their face and also ASTONISHING tastiness! Staff and pretty busy all the time but that does not harm their humor, they're always happy! I cant really recommend this place enough! Also there ia plenty of parking around the place.

A great local bar. The strawberry and lime poncha was delicious, tasted like a calippo. Good selection of craft beers and great to people watch in, there’s every kind of person here! Played cards and watched the world go by. Only request - add blandys Madeira wine to the menu! Didn’t eat so can’t comment on that
