Live music, good food (more snacks than meals) but recommend the picado for hearty filling fare. Good value drinks and cocktails, friendly staff and gets v busy in the evenings

Great place live football live music lots of foliage in outside garden interior very nicely done good ambience. Friendly staff plus good beer busy. Very good will return most nights. Really friendly staff.

Great value for money. Club sandwiches are huge and delicious. The Coral stout is very nice my wife had a draught cider, this was delicious too. Well worth a visit. We will be back before the end of our holiday

Have been to Funchal 3 times and We found this the best place for drinks and entertainment all in one place . Good selection of drinks. Good food (mainly snacks) at very reasonable prices. Friendly, hard working staff. Entertainment every night. Looking forward to our next visit in the summer.

Walked on by a few times last year so first visit. Well worth it. Lovely beer garden as well as excellent inside. Madge having a bottle of Super Bock Stout (2.20€) while Tima having a big cider for 5€. Big international beer selection, including Bishop's Finger! ..or Spitfire. Lots of Belgium beer. Pub food, incl an English breakfast. Well worth a visit. Good value. 17€ for a bottle of Rosé.

Service is very prompt, the atmosphere is lovely! There is live music and pool on the second floor with a balcony view! Also food is available until 1am. Best prego I've had, has been here. Cocktails are really good as well!

The Hole In One Irish Pub is in my opinion, the best pub in town. Beautiful ornate outdoor area, excellent table service by attentive and polite staff, a great snack menu of delicious dishes and top quality live music nightly. It is open until 2:00, and well worth a visit.

Cool pub near our hotel, decent cocktails at a good price - they even replaced mine for free when I sent it flying! We stayed for a couple of hours listening to live music - great last night of our trip!

Food very nice, big portions an great values. Drinks were very good too, they had also cider on draft and was very nice. The place is really cool in itself.

6 years coming to this pub. Never had anything but top service. Live music every night, ranging from good to very good. Great atmosphere most nights, great cocktails. Beer garden so chilled.....

Wonderful and vibrant venue with live music. Customer Service is spot on, and the drinks are delicious. Also, the drinks menu has so much to offer and so many beers to choose from. Excellent food portions, and the price is reasonable for the enjoyable time in this gem.

It's a pub, it sells beer go there for beer and to watch football, and maybe eat chips (fries). Not too impressed by the special steak sandwich someone else raved about. Too garlicy, maybe. Steer clear of the food unless you are just looking for basic pub grub. Service is excellent, staff were funny, and very nice. it's huge outside, few tables and booths indoors. Music was decent. Photos of special steak, so garlic bread with minute steak, ham, cheese and salad. The other is steak chunks in a gravy, steak was well cooked. OK quick edit: enjoyed the live act. However the music afterwards was so bad I had to leave, wee bit too Irish if you know what I mean. Sorry hole in one, but really??

We went here with our 5 year old daughter a couple of evenings for a drink on our holidays. There is a really nice atmosphere. Most importantly, they were so nice to our little girl. Obviously when you're away with a child, if they're happy you're happy and they made her really happy for the hour we were there a few nights. Thanks to them all

Great spot for drinks and live band music as it was walking distance from the hotel I was staying at. Drinks are cheap and decent, the crowds are great fun. Mainly tourists, and some locals. There is an outdoor seating area with television screens showing football games the night I visited.

Great pub, well decorated and with great ambience. Had a large selection of drinks. It has live music during the night and a great indoor place to dance. But if you just want to have a relaxing conversation it might be a little noisy for that.

Very nice atmosphere. Well made pub/bar with a good choice of drinks. Reasonably priced and a warm friendly environment. Show lots of sports, rugby and football as well as live music most nights. Staff are great and table service is excellent.

Great drinks at fair prices. A truly tremendous selection of gins, so if you enjoy them, put the Hole in One on your must stop list. Guinness is on tap. I enjoyed the Pimm's cup and a Long Island Iced Tea, both should be worthy of your consideration. They have an entire menu of drinks to help your indecisiveness. ;) A small bowl of crunchy potato chips arrived with our first order of drinks to snack on. The salads we enjoyed were fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff is attentive and for us, showcased a great sense of humor. Pictured is a tasty Manhattan. I kinda forgot that they have live music every night. On one of the nights we visited the scheduled artist had an issue. The back up artist was great. He played a variety of music and genres, from Rock to American Country. People danced, clapped and had a great time.

Nice pub and absolutely the best one in Funchal. The drinks are reasonably priced but not expensive at all. There is also a pool table if you want to play that. It costs 6 euros per hour.

Fantastic service, great beer and the best steak special sandwich ever! We shared ours it was so large, and only 6 euros.. Even came with chips!

Great place, great food, live entertainment and big screens to watch sport. Lovely outside seating area. They have a classic Mercedes in the garden area that is on display. The staff are professionals and friendly.

If your the type of tourist that goes away to sit in an 'English' pub surrounded by Brits abroad smoking and drinking themselves to death it s mint! I wouldn't go back if the drink was free! It's the only place I went all week where we had to pay as we got our drinks, the staff weren't the friendliest, we were on bikes which weren't a problem in any other bar, even busy ones but though this place was dead they wanted them out of the way. Each to their own but this place wasn't for me or my mate who called it. Best thing about it was the sculpture on the tree truck,!

Great pub for food, football and live music. Reasonably priced. Table service which is great too during the football. Good atmosphere highly recommend.

Huge beer and cocktail selections great atmosphere and live music, what more could you ask for? Attentive, friendly and efficient staff. Simply a fab night out- would go back if ever return to the area

We were here 10 years ago and loved it then. The atmosphere is great, the waiters can spot an empty glass from far away, and lovely entertainment. Haven't changed and we love it!!!

This was our absolute favourite bar on holiday. Music every night, admittedly some nights the acts were better than others however we had so much fun. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the doors to the music area were shut around 11 I think? So if you were sitting outside you couldn't hear the music..which ultimately was the main reason we chose this bar. Great cocktails!

OK. Not my type of place so this review is not to be taken critically. Not much air sitting outside. Drinks are on the upper end of reasonably priced. Not possible to hear the singer clearly when outside. Good if this is your sort of place.

Popped in here a couple of times while on holiday. Very busy spot well staffed and live music. One of the nights we only drank cocktails…. ALOT of cocktails and the more we drank the sober we got, there was 5 of us and we all felt there was zero alcohol in the cocktails. Worth a visit but avoid the cocktails

After a long walk we had to stop for a drink and ended up here. Good service and a lovely place in the shade of the grapes. I recommend it.

Good outside area, complimentary crisps! The pint of Coral could have done with being a bit colder and crisper.
